Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Issho and Aramaki, Once More Stealing the Show?

The spectacle of Issho's unexpected defeat left the crowd utterly speechless. Originally gathered as mere spectators, they found themselves captivated by the unexpected turn of events. The blind man, Issho, had demonstrated formidable strength, challenging their own captain from the foreign legion. Despite his defeat, Issho's valiant effort elevated his standing among the onlookers.

This battle drastically altered the students' view of Issho. They grew to admire and respect him, perceiving him in an entirely new light. Even Zephyr, who had initially estimated Issho's abilities to be at most on par with a vice-admiral, reconsidered his judgment. The duel showcased Issho's true power, now comparable to that of an admiral, much to Zephyr's surprise.

The interaction between Issho and Zephyr grew cordial soon after, thanks to Lin Yan's introduction. Upon realizing he was in the presence of the former navy general, Black Arm Zephyr, Issho felt an instant bond. During their conversation, Issho inquired, "Captain, since your Seventeenth Legion is newly formed, might you be looking for crew members?"

"Do you have someone in mind?" Lin Yan responded, intrigued by the implication in Issho's question.

Issho, with a smile, replied, "I do have a significant recommendation, though I haven't brought anything grand as it's my first visit to your ship. This person would be a tremendous asset to your Legion."

"Impossible! Your own abilities are exceptional, Issho," Lin Yan said, reflecting his disbelief, while Zephyr considered Issho's modesty.

"This individual is a seasoned warrior I encountered at sea," Issho explained. "We battled for five days and nights with no clear victor, and have since become close allies. He's contemplating a naval career, so if you're interested, we should move quickly."

Realizing the magnitude of this opportunity, Lin Yan grasped that Issho was not just any recruit; he was a future navy general with prowess rivaling the likes of Akainu and Aokiji. "Who is this person you recommend?" Lin Yan pressed, eager to know more.

"Aramaki," Issho disclosed, noting Lin Yan's keen interest. The revelation excited Lin Yan, who had just recruited Issho and now saw the chance to add another formidable figure to his ranks.

Thrilled by the prospects, Lin Yan ordered the ship to set course for Wano Country, where Aramaki was last seen, ready to seize this unique opportunity to dramatically strengthen his forces.

As they activated the Gravity Fruit, the ship began to levitate, resembling a spacecraft. This spectacle thrilled the trainees aboard. As the ship soared, everyone marveled at the surreal experience, exclaiming in wonder.

Upon reaching their destination, Lin Yan directed the trainees to guard the ship while he ventured into the dense, primeval forest with Issho, who led the way carrying a jar of wine. These jars, hastily purchased by Lin Yan at a local market, seemed the perfect gesture, for Issho cherished ramen while Aramaki had a fondness for alcohol.

Curious, Lin Yan asked Issho, "How can you navigate so clearly through the forest?"

Only Issho knew where Aramaki resided. Observing Issho skillfully maneuver through the dense undergrowth, eyes closed, Lin Yan was baffled and intrigued.

"Heh, practice makes perfect," Issho replied nonchalantly.

Finally, after a lengthy trek through rugged terrain, they arrived at a secluded thatched cottage.

"We're here!" Issho announced, stopping in front of the dwelling.
