Chapter 23: Fight of Survival (Last Part) (Edited)
(Mikael POV)
Walking into the throne room, I see Erik sitting on the throne, in his black boiled leather armor that has runes engraved into it for durability and deflection. At the steps of the throne, are ten more guards in the same armor as the ones I killed outside. Standing throughout the throne room's floor are over fifty other abominations made by my children, then Erik says.
"Hello, Father, done hunting wolves are we?"
With a smirk on his face, I look at him, and something is missing. The spark in his eyes is gone, and then it hits me.
"You turned off your emotions. That's why you attacked Elijah and put him in the state I found him in."
He tilts his head, before responding.
"Not exactly. Your son betrayed his siblings twice. First was when he attacked Tatia killing her and our unborn child. Second, was when he tried to compel Klaus's little girlfriend. So we punished him."
My eyes widened slightly at the first part as flashes of the clearing, I found them fighting in flow through my mind, but at the second, as soon as he mentioned Klaus, I said with hatred.
"Where is the younger bastard boy?... Tell me where he is, and I won't kill you."
As I reach behind me, pulling out my white oak stake. Pointing it at Erik, as I continue.
"Like I did the mutt in the forest, but if you don't, I'll make it a horrible death."
I see his eyes widen briefly before going back to their emotionless look as he says.
"Funny... I don't think Elijah will be happy about that, he does have a thing for Lilly, but then again she just discovered some dark secrets about him."
"Stop stalling boy.... I don't want to kill you, but... I WILL NOW TELL ME."
I rage at Erik, whose smirk turns into a full smile, as he spreads his arms and says.
"You will have to deal with them first... Father, if you truly want anything from me."
Then with his next words all but the ten guard's eyes glazed over before they rushed at me.
"Get him."
The first one to reach me, I snapped their wrist, then did a spinning kick to the next one... sending her into all the ones behind her, and grabbing yet another by the throat, ripping it out before I chopped his head off sending it into the crowd of vampires. I then jumped right at them. Using the white oak stake, in my left hand to stab the one I jumped on in the heart, while my right shoved through the chest of one of the many to my left, and pulled his heart out. I let my true face show.
As I am slaughtering my way through these newborn abominations, I feel the eyes of Erik, calculating my every move. Every time one of my attackers attempts to slash at me and I deflect, before going for the kill, or when I use the white oak stake to simplify the fight... killing them instantly, all with the eyes of Erik trained on me.
Then one of the abominations stabbed me in the lower back. The one directly in front of me jumped into the air, locking her legs around my head and flipping me onto my back. I stabbed her with my stake as she landed next to me before rolling out of the way of another one trying to stomp on my head. Spinning myself on the ground, while kicking out in a perfect circle. Taking the legs out of the one that stabbed me biting into his neck. I drink deeply, and quickly.
(Klaus POV)
Just as Finn and Kol return to our hiding spot, Aurora and I see that Kol is carrying Elijah as Finn says.
"Father ran into ten vampires, who were taking Elijah with them. Some big bear of a man helped Father Slaughter them. Before Father left the other man with Elijah and entered the keep. It was then that Kol and I took our chance and saved Elijah... Brother, I don't think we can save Erik before Father finds him."
I snap my head to Finn, with a look of disbelief, but Rebekah grabs my arm and tells me.
"Nik, our brother can take care of himself. We have to get out of here... You more than any."
I sigh looking back at the castle, just as fighting could be heard and whispered.
"I'm sorry for this brother, I hope you survive."
Before all seven of us speed away fleeing the castle. With Kol carrying Elijah.
(Juliette POV)
As I exit the keep, I hear fighting starting and I rush towards the gates. Sneaking around the biggest man I have ever seen, who looks like he is in a daze. When I pass the gates I catch a glimpse of Erik's siblings, and in Kol's arms is Elijah the rune on his forehead, looks like it had a blade sliced through it. Before I can say or do anything. They all disappear in seven blurs. Erik's words flash through my head.
"Go to the forest love, I'll find you."
I do so rushing into the forest. Randomly roaming around for hours. Until I hear a gasp of air, then a groan of pain. I rushed towards it.
(Mikael POV)
I have fought in shield walls for hours while raiding as a younger man. Only months ago, I perfected my new physical abilities, hunting Ansel's surviving pack of mutts to the last one. Now as I am ripping my way through the last of these monsters. I am more thankful than ever, that I have those experiences. Even so, I have several wounds that need to heal. So after I kick one of the last three in the knee, breaking it and stabbing him directly in the heart, I turn around grabbing the left wrist of another male, pulling him towards me, and stabbing under his armpit. Just as a woman, tries kicking at me... I sidestep the kick grabbing her ankle, then with my forearm snapping her knee. As she falls, I grab her throat, turning to face Erik, as I let my eyes change, while biting into her neck and drinking as my wounds heal in seconds.
(Erik POV)
Just as Mikael, ripped the head off the last of the sixty-eight newborn vampires, by feeding through her neck, then looking at me, while only slightly huffing, I clapped while standing up and saying.
"Well done father... Not even a hundred years old and you already have a tally of at least seventy-eight vampires that you killed. Not bad at all... Unfortunately, the fun ends here for now. I can't have you kill these last ten... They are the last of my new sire line, that you so brutally Slaughtered."
Without looking at the guards, I order them
"Wait for me outside the keep. I'm going to see what my old man has got."
They all nod and vanish as one, as I slowly walk down the steps of the throne, while Mikael says.
"Do you know what your bastard of a twi-"
"Yes, Mikeal I knew he was going to kill her. I don't blame him..."
(Jack POV)
I have been staring at the ten dead guards of Count De Martel. All of their skin is grey with blackened veins throughout their exposed skin. Confused about how I got here the last thing I remember, is begging the guards of the port hub, to avenge my son, and then.... then a figure appeared, all in the furthest border of the Count's lands. After that are weird impressions like the peace I feel when thinking about my son.... but I don't remember avenging him, or what day it is. Looking in the sky I see it is just a few hours from dawn, and for some reason, I fear that the sun will rise and I'm not indoors. Just then I see two females but I instinctively know that they aren't human. The one on the left has strawberry-blonde hair and steel-grey eyes. And the one on the right has wavy dark brown hair and forest-green eyes. When she sees me, they both get into a fighting stance, which looks strange to me. I raise my hands in surrender while saying.
"I don't know why I'm here or how those guards were killed. Please... you have to believe me."
Before they can say anything, ten more guards, in identical armor to the dead ones, actually speed like blurs out of the keep stopping just after the steps. Five go into a protective guard around the doors, while the other five guards come towards the two women and I before looking at the strawberry blonde, and asking.
"Princess Juliette, who is this?"
While glancing at me, I swallowed thickly.

Nerdy_stoner after this chapter is only two more chapters regarding the origins of the original vampires. then we will be in the thousand years in-between, the Mikealson's becoming vampires, and the start of Vampire Diaries. the next two chapters are the fight between, Mikeal, and Erik, and a flashback chapter. if you liked this chapter leave me a power stone. have a nice day
