Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Ending the isekai trash

Dildo flicked his staff, conjuring a fireball he aimed not at Leo, but at one of the lacrima crystals nearby.

Confused, Leo watched as the very lacrima he was using as cover started to glow. Instincts kicking in, he dodged the fireball erupting from the crystal.

"What the hell?!" Leo spat in disbelief, meeting Dildo's smug face.

"Exactly! I don't need to target you directly," Dildo grinned, explaining his magic. "I can shoot any lacrima and connect it to another, channeling the attack towards you!"

"Bro, we are in Jujutsu Kaisen? Why are you revealing your ability like that?!" Leo questioned, his voice laced with frustration. But his question went unanswered as he scrambled to avoid another fiery blast from a nearby lacrima. No matter where he darted, escape seemed impossible – the entire tower was constructed from these magical crystals.

Just as he formulated a plan, Leo's eyes widened. Not two, not three, but five lacrima pulsed a menacing red and he was in the center of those crystals. In that moment, he knew dodging was futile. But Leo had a secret weapon – his near-perfect foresight ability: Simulation.

Activating his ability, Leo witnessed a holographic blue projection of his reality. The lacrima fired, and in one projection, he dodged to the side but was struck by a fireball, dying instantly. Another projection showed him leaping into the air, only to be met with another fiery blast.

"This isn't working!" Leo gritted his teeth, focusing his ability. This time, the projection showed him crouching low, resembling a startled animal, a maneuver that somehow evaded all five attacks.

Trusting his foresight, Leo crouched low and swift as a predator. The fire lacrima unleashed their attacks, some soaring overhead, one passing harmlessly between his arms and legs. He had successfully dodged all five.

"How is that even possible?!" Dildo exclaimed, sweat beading on his forehead.

Leo knew he needed a clear shot at Dildo to disrupt his magic. But the tables had turned – Dildo's attacks were sharper now, his accuracy reaching a terrifying 95%. Leo hadn't expected such power from someone who appeared so frail. The only explanation Leo could muster was that Dildo's system, in a desperate attempt to win, had granted him some kind of enhanced accuracy ability.

"Well, still not my level," Leo scoffed.

Strength didn't matter – Dildo, despite his impressive abilities, was still outmatched by a seasoned fighter like Leo.

With a battle cry, Leo unleashed the combined power of Simulation and Flash Steps. He danced around Dildo's attacks, his foresight guiding his movements while his agility granted by Flash Steps allowed him to zip past each fiery blast.

"This is impossible!" Dildo shrieked. "I never saw that ability! Is that... Flash Step?!"

Leo had kept this ability under wraps, a secret weapon reserved for this very moment. He hadn't used it in front of the tower's cameras, unwilling to reveal his trump card to his isekai friend.

However, maintaining both Simulation and Flash Steps took a significant toll. Climbing the tower while battling dark mages had already drained his stamina, and these abilities were further sapping his strength.

Leo pushed forward, the distance between him and Dildo shrinking with each Flash Step. Time seemed to slow as he reached Dildo, the world a blur around them. He drew his gun and fired.

The bullet ripped through the air, a lethal projectile aimed for Dildo's center. It struck an unseen barrier, shattering with a resounding crack. Unfazed, Leo fired again. This shot collided with the first bullet, channeling its force and propelling it through the barrier.

"What the..." Dildo could only gape in amazement as Leo fired another shot that struck his left shoulder.

"ARGH!" Dildo cried out as pain surged through his body. However, pain was the least of his concerns as he realized he couldn't use his magical abilities.

"System! System?!" He tried to call his system, but there was no response. No holographic screen appeared to his rescue.

What just happened? Why the hell had his system stopped working? His magic was also failing him!

Tears welled in Dildo's eyes as he turned slowly, his gaze falling on the imposing figure of his nemesis.

"Man, you are fucking ugly," Leo sneered, his gaze lingering on Dildo's disfigured face.

"P-please..." Dildo whimpered, his voice cracking. "Spare me, I'll do anything—"

"One question, then," Leo interrupted, his voice cold as he unsheathed his sword with a flourish. "Who did you encounter before your reincarnation?"

"E-EEK!" Dildo shrieked. "It was the god who—"

"The name or appearance, that's all I need," Leo pressed, tightening his grip on the hilt.

"Yes, yes! I'll tell you!" Dildo cried. "I don't know if it was his true name, but he looked just like the Anti-Spiral from Gurren Lagann!"

"Wait, the mecha anime?" Leo scratched his chin, a flicker of surprise crossing his face.

The revelation brought a twisted smile to Dildo's lips. This assassin, sent to kill him, was a reincarnator just like him.

"Yes! Exactly like the Anti-Spiral!" Dildo grinned, hope flickering in his eyes. "Since we're both reincarnated, maybe we can—"

"Yeah, no," Leo cut him off with a swift swing of his sword. All Dildo saw was a flash of steel before his own head went flying, a grotesque smile still plastered on his face.

Leo turned and began his descent, a contemplative frown etched on his face.

"Maybe there's another character I missed up here..." He muttered, trying to recall a name. What was her name again? Miktank, Millrover, Milksandwich? She had a great booty though."

He shook his head, dismissing the thought as he descended the tower. There were many unfortunate characters in Fairy Tail, but he couldn't save all of them. He wasn't a messiah or hero. He was just doing it for the job.

While coming down, he looked for other people, but except for the knocked-out bodies of dark mages, he didn't find anyone. On the fifth floor from the bottom, he met Erza, who seemed to be searching for him.

"What are you doing here, Erza?" he questioned the redhead as he walked towards her.

"I'm looking for the captives," Erza stated, "but it seems most escaped already."

"What about those you helped?"

"They are already far from the tower," Erza informed Leo.

"Good job!" Leo patted Erza's head, and she accepted the gesture with rosy cheeks.

Just then, a watch on Leo's wrist began to blink red.

"Shit, the explosives have set the timer," Leo muttered. He had installed numerous bombs throughout the tower. They were remote-controlled, but if some external force interfered, they would automatically set a timer for three minutes until the controller set them off. However, Leo didn't have any reason to set off the explosives.

He pulled a backpack from his dimensional storage and put it on. Glancing at Erza, he smirked, "So, should we make a dramatic exit, Miss Redhead?"

"Un!" Erza nodded and, without any instructions, hopped into Leo's arms.

They exchanged a final nod before Leo launched himself from a nearby window, deploying his parachute mid-descent.

While gliding, he noticed Erza holding tightly to his body and closing her eyes shut. While any ordinary girl her age couldn't even scratch Leo's mighty body, Erza was a different case.

Patting her, he smiled, "Don't be so scared, little missy. You're gonna miss the fireworks."

"Who is scared?!" Erza opened her eyes and protested. "Hm, fireworks?"

BOOM! BOOM!

The Tower of Heaven erupted in a series of earth-shattering explosions, each floor succumbing to the fiery demise. As the deafening blasts subsided, the tower began its descent, crumbling to dust. While the resulting dust storm engulfed them momentarily, Leo skillfully maneuvered his parachute, escaping the cloud with Erza clinging securely to his back. The once-towering structure was now a smoldering heap, a testament to their mission's success.

"Did you enjoy the light show, Erza?" Leo asked, amusement lacing his voice as he held the redhead close.

Erza offered a relieved smile. "It felt good. A fresh start, free from nightmares and hardship."

Leo couldn't help but chuckle, a hint of sadness tinging his amusement. He knew the real challenges for Erza were yet to come, when the protagonist would inevitably join their guild. But that wasn't his story to tell.

"Look, Leo!" Erza exclaimed, her voice tinged with awe as she pointed towards the sky. Following her finger, Leo's breath hitched. The moon hung full and radiant, unlike any he'd ever witnessed – a luminous orb of breathtaking size and brilliance.

"Yeah…" Erza nodded before looking at Leo with rosy cheeks. "The moon is really beautiful."

"Huh?" Leo blinked, momentarily speechless. Before he could respond, Erza leaned in, resting her head gently on his shoulder. The cool night breeze ruffled their hair as they stood in comfortable silence, bathed in the ethereal moonlight.

'Am I doing anything criminal?' Leo wondered for a moment before shaking his head.

The FBI doesn't exist in the Fairy Tail world.
