Chapter 6: Chapter 5: Sparring

"It should be enough."

Lee thought while glancing at both his system status and his opponent in the circle before him.

He had brow hair and streaks of crimson paint on his cheeks.

Kero Inuzuka aggressively snarled at him, and his wild gaze meant he wouldn't hold back, ready to go all out.

This kind of behavior was normal among members of the Inuzuka clan, who were known for their beastly nature and teamwork with highly trained ninja dogs to help their masters fight.

However, Kero hadn't received his own puppy yet, and the fight would be fair, one-on-one.

'He's going to provoke and humiliate me, isn't he?'

Lee answered himself, but then acted reasonably because he ignored the annoying brat.

"Are you ready? Rock? Kero? Form the Confrontation Seal and begin!"

The teacher instructed while standing in the middle between the two of them.

"Today, you surpassed me in physical exercises, which is stupid and unthinkable, but you've also replaced Neji from his rightful first place in the class. Worm! I'll beat you so hard that you won't even think about becoming a Genin anymore!"

Kero declared venomously while getting on all fours and growling deeply like an animal ready to pounce on its prey.

Still, Lee didn't seem to be bothered making his classmates who were watching freeze and feel a cold breeze cutting through their hearts.

They could tell that his aura had changed because it was more noticeable and intense.

Thus, Lee no longer seemed like a pitiful weakling...

"No chance,"

Lee said it impassively with a stance while bending his knees and extending his right palm forward as if inviting him to fight and provoke him.

"Is this really that same goofball Lee?!"

The students wondered while feeling the growing nervousness in the atmosphere.

"What?!"

Kero exclaimed in confusion while closing his mouth and tilting his head to the side.

"You don't stand a chance against me in Taijutsu, dog!"

At this moment, Lee's mastery and skills in martial arts were equal to those of experienced Genin who had gone through various missions.

Rock was completely calm when he saw Kero's clear attack because he knew what to do with knowledge from his past life and trusted his abilities.

A couple of steps of the hostile silhouette instantly turned into a ferocious beastly assault.

However, Kero himself couldn't boast of anything other than magnificent reflexes.

Moreover, he didn't possess any particular clan Ninjutsu techniques, and he fought Lee only with his fists which he was bound to lose...

The battle happened with Lee and Kero actively bombarding Rock with a hail of strikes even getting up on his hands to reach the unreachable Lee with kicks.

However, Rock ran around the circle twice as fast as him.

Of course, Kero couldn't catch him, and all he could do was pant like a dog and constantly complain aloud about Lee's cowardice.

"Fight! Stop dodging my attacks! Fight or just die, cowardly trash of Konoha!"

Kero angrily uttered various curses time and again.

After seeing the angry "dog" Lee's calmness really stood out to everyone else.

Slowly, Lee's classmates began to support him in the battle, if only in their thoughts for now, but at least it was something.

However, everything has its time, as they say...

"Fine."

Rock responded with a nod, his tone firm.

Lee stopped dodging and stopped Kero's fist while swiftly blocking his fist and tossing Kero over his shoulder.

The wind whistled in his ears as the disoriented Kero's vision blurred.

Lee's few dodges were only to test his true speed capabilities.

It was important to discover his limits in combat with an average Shinobi larva like this Kero.

After getting good results, Lee prepared to teach the "kid" some manners in the style of karate masters...

"Argh! I won't lose so disgracefully to a weakling like you!"

Kero growled angrily, instantly springing to his feet.

Then, a powerful kick to the chest that felt like a cannonball knocked him off his feet.

He was harshly grabbed by the edge of his clothing and pulled sharply toward Lee to make him feel the pain in his solar plexus.

Undoubtedly, Kero nearly lost consciousness from such a punishment, but a slap across the face convinced him to sober up and awaken.

"You couldn't land a hit on me in the end because your emotions got in the way of the fight. The insults also won't help you in a critical moment if you're weak. Stop taunting the beast, and remember that you won't survive without composure on the battlefield, so for now... sleep."

Lee enlightened his frightened and battered "opponent" with a calm voice.

Lee sighed at the end and hit the dazed Kero with a turning kick to the face to break his nose and send him lying like a beaten doll.

"Uhh!"

The viewers hissed with pain at the unconscious Kero. They were very shocked, including the teacher.

In fact, it was the teacher's duty to stop the sparring at the crushing moment of Lee throwing Kero over his shoulder.

However, something clearly didn't quite come together in the end...

The battle with Lee was too captivating and mesmerizing for anyone to intervene.

"Rock Lee won!"

Then the sensei firmly announced and managed to cope with the fact that Lee had instantly turned into a talented favorite and genius in Taijutsu.

"Wow! Lee, where did you master Taijutsu so skillfully?! Please tell us!"

The energetic students immediately surrounded him from all sides.

They all somehow forgot in an instant that just five minutes ago, they considered Rock incapable of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and they bet on Kero Inuzuka to win.

Moreover, Lee didn't forget.

He simply couldn't, and he didn't forget how these little hypocrites had driven the original Lee to despair.

They push him to the limit and make him sink into depression with tears in his eyes and a deep fear of a useless weakling forgotten by everyone...

That's why the cold gaze of the current Lee was sincere. He despised them.

"I've watched too many martial arts movies to remain as naive as that Lee."

Lee didn't want to acknowledge many of these children and said so sternly to them.

"Get away from me, pitiful and shameless brats!"
