"Ah! My back."
Lu Fan had been busy all week long making and selling all types of memory devices.
He tried everything in the market and all he had to do was upgrade after a while of memory tests and stress tests.
HDDs for instance were quite magical. He bought them in bulk at a disposable price and started doing all kinds of experiments.
As a result, he now had a couple of hundreds of spinning storage devices with the least being 1 Petabyte while the one that was still running had already been upgraded to 512 Yottabyte. And it was still going.
It made him numb.
The most tragic thing however was that he could not even sell them. The more upgrades he made, the smaller these disks got. With the current technology, there was no way to explain where they came from. He could only keep them here, collecting dust.
As for using them, he had yet to have a need for so much storage. The speed was nice, but there was little use for them when everything else still runs on MB/s while the storage runs at PB/s.
He had to upgrade his secondhand laptop a couple of times before it could even detect them.
The thing that made him most happy was that the flash memories that he produced had increased to 50 every 3 hours.
He could earn 120,000 yuan per day and he had already made the upward of 600,000 yuan in the past five days.
That was a lot of money. Money that he would not have dreamed of a week ago.
The only problem was that his body was catching up to him. He barely spent three hours sleeping and the rest were spent experimenting and running around collecting materials and delivering goods.
He had already added two new memory products which were SSD cards of all types. NVMe cards were the most popular while the PCIe cards were the most expensive.
He made so much money that he was smiling all day long like a fool.
"I should look for a better place."
The workshop could no longer serve him. Storage space aside, there had been more and more people looking at him strangely.
It was understandable.
How could someone use TF cards to produce NVMe SSD cards? It was impossible. But he had done it all week long and it was starting to draw attention.
The place he was at was small and everybody knew the general situation of the other. The nature of their business was also there and none of them were good.
It might also be that he was overreacting, but it was better to be careful.
After cleaning up, Lu Fan took today's stock and went on his delivery rounds. After settling everything, he made his way to the more developed side of town.
There was hardly any difference, but one could see that there were more commercial buildings and fewer residential buildings. The scenery was beautiful and refreshing but there were hardly any people who could admire it.
Everyone was busy with their own thing.
It was easy to find a building. Lu Fan just entered the first building with a vacant poster on it and went to negotiate with the manager.
It was easier to do this instead of using a real estate agent. It was more flexible this way.
Agents tend to set rigid steps and rental periods and they seek to maximize profit. It was okay, but Lu Fan preferred to go to the managers directly.
This way, he would know who he was working with and he could save some money.
As for requirements and all that, he did not have many. Privacy was the only mandatory requirement.
It took several hours of going from building to building until he settled on one. It was relatively old, but the room he settled on was well-designed.
It used to be a family restaurant that was closed recently and it had a freezing room and a basement pantry. It was perfect.
It was also big enough with five entry points. This gave him the idea of having inbound supply and outbound stock be completely independent.
He could afford to hire more people.
With everything settled, Lu Fan started sorting out the things he needed.
Office ware was easy. There were too many furniture outlets outside and he called five salespeople in and after discussion, they all took up orders that they could provide within two days.
They were also responsible for installments. As for renovations, Lu Fan had already dealt with them using his repair cheat. If there was something that he was not satisfied with, just optimize.
He had gathered 10,000+ points at this point. But the rate of spending was too fast. Just the renovations had already consumed half of them.
He spent more than 2000 points designing and optimizing his office. Connect it to the pantry and the freezing room, then make a partition for a room to live in.
As for getting himself a house… that could wait until everything was stable.
In truth, he was still adapting to things. Poverty had made him extra careful with spending. The prices of land were also no joke. Just seeing the money he had accumulated over the week go up in smoke made him feel like he would have a heart attack at any moment.
Making sure everything was in place, Lu Fan decided to have some food before finding someone to help him move his things over.
The soldering station for instance had evolved into something else. Lu Fan was not sure what to call it.
It was more like a Surface Mounting Technology Machine combined with a Laser Sintering 3D Printer. It was heavy. He could not move it even with three people.
Working-class restaurants were many around this area. He found a rather decent place near his place and ordered stir-fried pork with rice. Eat heartily, drink happily, and celebrate.
