Chapter 13: Dragon-blood herb
Lawrence woke up at dawn. His lovely wife Freya is sleeping beside him.
"I'll be heading out for a walk dear" Lawrence whispered near her ear.
"mhm" she replied with closed eyes
Lawrence left his house and walked around the village. He saw some elves sleeping on the grass, some on the thick trunks of the huge trees, and some on a makeshift bed made of fallen leaves.

Mysty illusion forest, that's what this place is called based on the ancient book. I can't believe I'm living inside this now. This place just looks so magical, especially with this foggy atmosphere and wisps floating around the village. I can't believe this place will be destroyed in the future.
How can prevent that from happening? I can't just impregnate everyone and hope our population will be enough to strengthen the world tree by absorbing the essence elves naturally release. It's not like I can impregnate all these elves within a year or two there are thousands of them.
Lawrence continues to walk around the village
I can run and take refuge somewhere else assuming I won't get eaten by beasts along the way. But this is like my kingdom now *cough* *cough* I mean I definitely can't leave all these women to die.
First, I need to talk to the village chieftess to know if our village even has some warriors. Next, I need to look for a dragon-blood herb. It's the herb that men drink to make sure that the child that can be formed with their seed will be a girl.
Dragon-blood herbs are mostly popular with young kings or young patriarchs back in the human kingdom. They drink it to prevent having male descendants too early which can potentially replace them. But it's so rare that if a commoner like me has it, I'll be sliced to pieces. Even nobles will kill each other for it.
This body is just 20 years old, I definitely can't have a potential male heir this early. I need to be strong enough first to protect myself and overpower everyone in this village before I even think of having a male child. Or else I'll be in huge trouble if I get found assassinating all my male descendants
Next is to look for some elves that I can manipulate *cough* train to be warriors that follow only me.
Lawrence starts to search for Dragon-blood herbs. After a few minutes, he found one.
The ancient book didn't lie, rare herbs do thrive near the even settlements. Or maybe it's not because of the elven settlements but because of the world tree and dryads since they are the true beings of nature made from pure nature and elves live near them. I don't believe that the barrier surrounding the village only protects the elves from outsiders I'm sure it also has other effects. Like also for sucking elven essence and making me immortal inside it
Damn, they are so rare back in the human kingdom but here I already found it. There's a bunch of them grouped near each other like ordinary flowers. I'll just slice a small amount of this and store it at home.
I'll just go back and get some more if I used it all up. I can only pray that these dumb elves won't think of it as a good decoration for their house.
Damn, this village is huge I can't believe all of this is part of the world trees barrier. It will take me hours just to roam the entire thing. But now that the elven men are gone, I hope it will be smart enough to just shrink it rather than cast a thin layer of barrier around this. I'll go to the World Tree later and convey my thoughts, I don't even know what made the elves extinct. All I come up with are based on assumptions, not facts. Ineed to prepare for everything
Lawrence started his walk back home. He's also looking around for some elven women he can train at a later date
If I remember correctly, I only need a spoonful of crushed dragon-blood herb each month.
Lawrence starts grinding the dragon-blood herb using a stick and stone. While grinding it, Freya woke up.
"Dear, you're back from walking? And what are you doing? " Freya asked
"Yes dear, I feel refreshed now. I am just grinding some herbs to strengthen myself a little. The village chieftess gave me this yesterday" damn she's limping towards me *cough* It must've been too much for her last night .
"I pick up some fruits along the way dear, here have some." Lawrence gave some fruits to Freya
Lawrence and Freya continue to talk while eating fruits for a few minutes. Lawrence also mixed the dragon-blood herb with water and drank it. A few minutes more. Lawrence starts heading out to the village chieftess's house.
*knock*
*knock*
"village chieftess, it's me Lawrence son of Karina. May I enter?" Lawrence asked respectfully.
"you may enter" the village chieftess replied.
Lawrence enters the village chieftess's house, a bunch of leaves, vines and branches are still scattered everywhere. Both mother and daughter are eating fruits while sitting.
"Gulp" Lawrence gulped after seeing the mother and daughter pair.
Oh my god, their t*ts are out. What the hell? Won't they even try to cover themselves? Especially Alyana the village chieftess's daughter. The village chieftess I can understand I already licked I mean seen her n*ked but it can't be said the same for Alyana. Not yet at least
Both mother and daughter have torpedo t*ts they even jiggle with small movements. Do they sleep like this? I met some women back in the city that sleeps n*ked but they surely won't let other men see them like that.
Wait come to think of it, I'm not some other men. I'm technically Alyana's step father and husband
Are all the freaking elves like this, I can only imagine if one or a handful of humans managed to enter this village. Just look at these defenceless elves.
I need to look for a good place to dig a pit later so I can bury all the males that even think of entering our village.
Are the elves on settlements outside the village also acts like this? Damn i need to bring them inside the barrier as soon as i can.
Time to talk to the village chieftess about all the important matters to safeguard all my elven women *cough* to safeguard the survival of the elves.
Family role play can wait at a later time. Focus Lawrence, focus.
