Chapter 33: Pierce!
Lawrence then approached the world tree
"Hello, world tree? " "Can you hear me?"
"speak elf," all the 10 dryads said in unison
My 2nd time seeing it but damn that's still creepy as f*ck
"May I know if the barrier can hold against the attacks? Lawrence asked politely.
" Yes, that kind of attack is not a problem" the dryads replied in unison
"how long can the barrier hold with that attack? Lawrence asked
"With that kind of attack, until ab elf die of old age" the dryads reply
"damn for thousands of years, thank you for answering me," Lawrence said with a bow
For a thousand years my ass, your barrier broke before and all these elves died and now you're acting tough huh?
Lawrence then started heading towards the edge of the barrier
It's my first time seeing the barrier up close. The barrier kinda looks like a mist when attacked huh? Normally this looks transparent, you won't even know it exists
They are using 3 battle rams closely together to try to break the barrier.
No wonder the World Tree said it could hold against the attack. This ain't that strong to overpower a freaking world tree
I can see most of them now, there's a lot of them. This is like an entire unit of soldiers. Most of the soldiers are also wearing leather armor to protect themselves but a handful are wearing metal armour
The ones wearing metal must held some sort of importance in their group. Let me check how many are mages
Lawrence used his ability his eyes glowing golden
None huh. I don't think this group is the reason why the elves all died. But if they used the elves who were living in the settlements as hostages, they might be able to draw all the elves outside the village. Luckily the chieftess acted fast and headed my advice. But it's just my assumption
Now that I think about it
Lawrence walks around near the barrier and he sometimes waves at the humans outside
The hell they can't see me? can my attacks pass through?
Lawrence walks toward the area with no humans around then he pokes a stick out of the barrier
"It went through," Lawrence said
"This should be enough scouting for now," Lawrence said then he went back to the world tree
Minutes later. Lawrence is below the world tree
"Chieftes, have you gathered what I need?" Lawrence asked
"Yes it's all here but what do you plan to do? " the chieftess asked
"please all the warriors in training go to the glade, and also chieftess bring your wooden spear out" Lawrence requested
This should be the perfect time for some practical lesson
While the chieftess is out gathering the warriors she asks an elf to get her spear.
Lawrence went back home with Freya to fetch his sword.
Minutes later. At the glade. Lawrence asked the elves to look at the humans outside the barrier
"Did you all see the humans outside the barrier? If those humans managed to get in here, we are all dead."
"I can fight them, some of the others like Elder Aisha, and the chieftess can fight them too but there are so many of them for us. That is why we need you warriors. The village needs you" Lawrence said with a serious expression
The elves are silent but with determined expressions
"Alright, divide yourselves into two groups, one group will do all the training regiment till noon, and the other group will train after them till the end of the training period for the day," he said
"the free elves please follow me" Lawrence ordered
Lawrence then sat in the resting area with some of the elves. Freya, Karina, Aisha, Adriana, Olivia, Claren, Miraen, and Alyana are also with him along with about 200 elves who decided to be part of the 2nd group.
He is sharpening a sturdy 6-inch root like a pencil using a stone
"All alright everyone, please make something like this, make sure to use a strong root and sharpen it as much as you can," He said to them with a smile
While the others are doing it, some help Lawrence make a rope from the vines. They peel the vines and only get their outer layers, then they twist them all with each other
Almost an hour later
Lawrence and the others have finished making 4 ropes made from the outer layer of the vines. It's 8 mm girth, and 7 feet long.
Lawrence then tied the ropes he made to the sharpened roots.
"not bad, my fellow elves thank you for your efforts," Lawrence said with a smile
He then stands up and walks a bit then he summoned a 7 feet tree. He's glowing green
Now let me test you, my babies
The entire whip with sturdy roots as whip heads are glowing green
" Now Pierce! " he shouted
*tsssssssdd*

Lawrence retracted the whip and brought the whip heads to his side, his entirety body along with the whip glowing green
"pierce!" he shouted
*tssssssdd*

The whip heads pierced the tree clean through again
*creak*
*snap*
*thud*
The tree was split in half
*clap*
*clap*
*clap*
"wow!" "that's amazing! " "Teach us that!" "me too!"
The elves all shouted in amazement while looking at Lawrence. Even the one's training stopped and looked at them.
"Don't worry my fellow elves, you can do it too once your body is strong enough" Lawrence said with a smile
He then looked at Victoria and Karthala and smiled at them
Then he went back to sit and started replacing the whip head with new ones
While resting at the glade Lawrence started making a coat that would cover his body from head to toe with grass
It's a type of grass that is commonly found all around the forest like the one the elves and the soldier are stepping on.
He then peeled thin layers of vines and then tied them to the vertically placed grasses then put leaves on top of them. He made sure that there were a lot of thin layers of vines holding the grasses and leaves on top of it.
He makes his coat until dusk
Now I can blend in With the surrounding. Those f*ckers dared to invade here and have some malicious thought about my elves huh.
Now that I've rested and recovered my stamina. I'll politely ask the humans to give me their swords while piercing their bodies. This will be fun
