Chapter 6: The Will of A Conqurer
It had been a month or two since my fight with the monkey. My training in Haki and my devil fruit, which I decided to call the Uo Uo no mi: Ghidora model, had improved by leaps and bounds. I was ever so close to achieving awakening, and achieving my human beast form. Unfortunately, there was one thing holding me back: fear. If my assumption was true, then I may have the powers of Ghidora; the monster from Godzilla. A movie I watched back in my old world, and if so. I'd have to fight its will and desire for carnage and destruction. Considering the fact that it was all it did the entire movie: destroy. The fact that I was beginning to feel its murderous desires was not helping either. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm sleeping during the times I have nothing to do, I would have already gone on a rampage and destroyed some parts of the forest.
In order to combat my bloodlust, I have been succumbing to my sleepy desire and sleeping for the majority of the day. However, even in my dreams I still see myself yearning for maddening destruction. ' I'll go crazy if I don't address these desires' I finally decided that it's time to face this head on and achieve my fruits awakening. So finally I sat once again at lotus position and closed my eyes. I attempted to tap into the source of where my spiritual power resided, going under the assumptiuon that I would probably find the devil fruit's conciousness or something in there. Unfortunately, my theory held true, a large grey scaled dragon with three heads lay there looking at me with all six of its eyes.
We had a staring contest for quite a bit before Ghidora decided to make a snort coming my way. A breath stopping pressure could be felt within my souls area. It was as if the dragon wanted to dominate me with sheer presence. It took every fibre of my spectral being not to crumble under it. I grit my teeth, or ghost teeth? And continued to stare at Ghidora. Refusing to let it bestow its will upon me. The dragon seemed to acknowledge this with an even more massive force of pressure, at this point. Pain shot up in my soul, I could feel my sea of conciousness breaking bit by bit with the pressure Ghidora exerted. 'If I let Ghidora keep this up, I will die' I solemnly concluded as cracks started showing around my sea of conciousness.
At the corner of my eye, I saw Ghidora staring at me slowly start to spread its wings in all its majesty and looking as if it had won the battle of wills. It raised all three of its heads and looked at the sky before releasing a mighty roar that did nothing but increasing the rate at which my sea of conciousness was breaking. 'Am I really about to let this thing take over my body and let it do what it wants?' I was many things in my past life. I was a liar, a thief, a murderer, a loving son, and many other things; but submissive wasn't anywhere near my description. I stubbornly stayed on my feet, the ground under me cracking under the pressure Ghidora exerted.
"This isn't your body to take, Ghidora" I grumbled, I could see it stop abruptly and look at me with all three heads of it puzzled. "MY BODY! MY FUCKING RULES!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as I exerted a pressure that was equal if not greater than the pressure that Ghidora exerted on me. Lightingning tendrills began forming as a result of the clash between our two wills. Although the majority of my attention was focused on puching back Ghidora's will, the minority part of me was jumping and screaming at the fact that I had awakened Conqurer's Haki. The battle lasted quite some time, and both of our wills was waning. The sea of conciousness that once portrayed itself as a vast sea of blue water with clear skies, became pitch black under the wrath of a fierce thunderstorm.
Exerting an extra burst of power, I yelled as my will overtook Ghidora's making the dragon take steps back as I continued to advance toward it. Ghidora's will succumbed under my will's pressure and broke. Making a sound similar to glass breaking when it drops to the floor, I kept walking till I was within Ghidora's striking distance. My will's pressure, or Conqurer's haki slowly began picking up momentum and completely supressed Ghidora. "From now on, your my partner. Play with me if you want to, but I'll keep bringing you down like this every. single. time." I stared up at the dragon menacingly, all three heads looked down at me before lowering their heads to meet my gaze. I guess I could take it as a form of submission?
The moment Ghidora did this I woke up. Only to barf a shit ton of blood, probably because of the way my sea of conciousness was damaged from the battle of wills with Ghidora. My entire body hurt, especially my chest. It felt like some bastard had decided to stab my chest multiple times without remorse. It felt that way for quite a bit before my body gradually healed from all that pain. " Looks like I have two more things I need to train." I told myself as I got up from the ground.
