Chapter 4: The Menstrual Cycle
Raymond walked out of the hospital and a car was waiting for him, he got in and the driver took off "Boss, we got him" the driver, who was one of his men said and Raymond nodded before he took out a stick of Pall mall cigarette which has a unique sleek and slim design, he puffed it before his mind drifted to Grace.
Then a smile crept on his lips, her face and attitude reminded him of someone "Boss?" the driver was taken aback by his smile.
"Let's go see him" Raymond ordered before puffing his cigarette, completely forgetting about the caution of "No smoking in cars"
Minutes later, they arrived at a nightclub which was closed because it's not yet opening hours. The men at the door all bowed their heads when they saw Raymond and he walked past them.
At the corner, was a middle-aged man in his forties tied around a chair with a tissue in his mouth, preventing him from talking "So this is the famous Al Nas" Raymond smiled, he sat on the chair facing the man and a man poured him a glass of whisky.
"Hmmm" the man on the chair tried to talk, so Raymond signaled that they take off the tissue in his mouth "Why am i here? I have no business with you," the man spouted in fear.
"That's right, you have no business with me. But he does"
"Who?"
The tissue was placed back in his mouth as one of Raymond's men dialed a number. Soon it got connected.
"Adam" he called with a hoarse tone.
"Are you in Italy already? I will send a truck to pick you up" Adam said in a sarcastic tone.
"Unfortunately, i didn't make it to the airport"
"Are you playing games with me, Raymond Xu? I have your sister with me and I won't hesitate to kill—"
"Torn Zhongshan suit and a pair of flip-flops…" Raymond chimed in, "That's how you were dressed when you came to me for help"
"If you…."
"My sister was a goddess to you, you worshiped her" he continued before he puffed his cigarette.
"And now you want to negotiate with me? Your master," Raymond scoffed, this was one reason he didn't like helping low life men, as soon as they touched power then they try to bite the hand that fed them.
"I will shoot your sister" Adam said with an impatient tone.
"Since you learnt the concept of negotiation so well, then how about we make a new deal. I have someone here with me, if you touch my sister then i kill him"
Adam burst out in laughter, he kept laughing hard and Raymond didnt get offended, he sipped from his whisky and allowed him to laugh till his satisfaction.
"Let me guess, you got one of my sisters? Perhaps my grandparents, or my uncles? If yes, then do me a favor and kill them…they are of no importance to me"
Raymond signaled, and the tissue was taken out of the man's mouth. "Mr. Lui, please save me…" he called out for help.
The line went silent for a while, Raymond had a proud smile because he already knew that Adam didn't care about his family. So he went for someone more important "You bastard Xu, you got my family's lawyer. Don't dare hurt him"
"I know, i know…if he dies then your inheritance dies…so my men will bring him, hand over my sister to them and let's fight this war you created fairly" then he hung up.
"Once they hand over my sister, then kill Adam," he ordered and walked out of the night club, got into the car which drove away.

Once the car arrived just a few blocks before Chen's house, Grace quickly told Seb to park the car.
"I will walk from here"
"Why?"
"You already dropped me off, isn't that enough" she frowned at him, left with no choice, he parked the car and she walked down.
"Here, you can get changed in the car and return the hospital gown" he handed her a bag and she took it.
Once she noticed that there was a brand new dress in the bag, she quickly shoved it to the side and walked down the car.
"It's better I arrive home on this clothes than that expensive one"
"Why is it so hard for you to appreciate?"
She frowned and used her right foot to smash his "Ouch" Seb winced in pain, what type of crazy woman is this? He thought.
"Next time don't kidnap a girl from her parents house" then she stomped forward without looking back.
"They placed me in such trouble and he is talking of appreciation"
She still felt a little pain on her lower abdomen but it was bearable, after walking a few miles she finally arrived at her doorstep and there stood Kendrick.
"Grace" his eyes lit up in excitement as he hurried towards her
"I was so worried, I thought they kidnapped you"
"Where did you go to?"
"Who were those men?"
"Did they hurt you?"
Then he scanned her body "Why do you have a hospital gown? Did they kidnap you and extract your Internal parts?"
"Ken" she frowned at him before they both sat on the stairs.
"My parents will kill me right?" That was the only thing bothering her.
"Why will they kill you?"
Grace stared daggers at him "Don't you know my curfew time?"
"But they aren't around"
Her eyes lit up "Wait, are you serious?" She couldn't believe it, then her mind drifted to her parents' conversation a few days earlier.
"They left to attend the charity event and won't be back till late at night" Kendrick reminded her and she burst out in laughter.
"What's funny?"
"I am just happy, I will go rest now "
"Hey wait, you still haven't told me where those men took you "
"We will talk in school tomorrow, good bye Ken" then she walked in and bang the door, walked to the kitchen and made her little bed before laying on it.

Same day, 21:00.
Grace woke up feeling much better, the only thing which still hurt was her tommy.
So she poured herself a cup of water and drank it.
Seeing that the kitchen window was open, she went to close it when she found a familiar figure out in the dark, leaning on a motorcycle.
"It can't be" she quickly closed the windows and hid by the side.
On the other hand, Raymond chuckled when he saw her reaction.
He has been standing there for more than thirty minutes wondering if he should go in or not.
*Ring
He received a phone call and it got connected
"Ray, I am on my way home"
"Hmm" he said with a relieved tone, he was glad he saved his sister from Adam.
"When I am back…"
"Good night" then he hung up and picked a stone, sited the kitchen window and shot it.
"Ahhh" Grace gasped in fear when she heard the loud sound on her window.
"What the hell" she peeped outside and saw Raymond there with folded arms
"What does he want?" Grace picked up a stick and walked out of the house, approached him with a frown.
"Hello little lotus" he smiled at her, she snorted and pointed the stick at him.
"I am sure you know so much about menstrual cycle, you should know it affects women mood,"
"I always thought you were a cry baby, but I love this sight of you more. Feisty, just like your mom "
