Chapter 5: 4
As the ship docked at Hachinosu, the minions quickly transported the five billion berries to Rocks' house. Carzo disembarked and noticed that the rest of the crew had also gathered there, many bearing a few injuries. Rocks' home was piled high with treasure, at least forty billion berries worth. Carzo mused, "Looks like the others were also sent on missions to attack the tax ships."
Carzo joined the rest of the crew. Rocks addressed them, "Well done, all of you. This was a huge blow to the World Government. I will let you know about the second phase of the plan soon. For now, you can rest."
Turning to Carzo, Rocks added, "Carzo, meet me in my room. The rest of you, head back and rest."
Carzo followed Rocks to his room. Once inside, Rocks began, "Carzo, you are a born king like me. I can feel it in you. You just need to awaken it."
Without warning, Rocks unleashed his Conqueror's Haki at Carzo. Instinctively, Carzo's body responded by launching his own haki to defend. The clash of their haki was intense, with Carzo's haki increasing rapidly but still not matching the overwhelming power of Rocks' haki. Rocks' haki suppressed Carzo's, making it difficult for him to even move.
Gritting his teeth, Carzo concentrated harder, releasing more of his haki, but it was still no match for Rocks. Eventually, Rocks withdrew his haki, leaving Carzo panting and sweating.
Rocks said, "Good. Now you can control your haki in battle. When fighting strong opponents, use it as much as possible, especially against other Conqueror's Haki users. It will dramatically enhance your control. Next, I will teach you the advanced applications of Conqueror's Haki."
Carzo soon realized that Rocks was actually helping him master his Conqueror's Haki. He smiled and said, "Thanks, Captain."
Rocks replied, "No need to thank me. The stronger the crew, the stronger I become to achieve my ambition. Carzo, do you need any gift from me? Every member of the crew has gotten a gift from me, like weapons or devil fruits."
Carzo pondered for a moment before asking, "Captain, can you please tell me what I can choose from?"
Rocks nodded. "Of course. In weapons, I have two Supreme Blades. In devil fruits, I have the Blood Blood Fruit, Bone Bone Fruit, Diamond Diamond Fruit, Memory Memory Fruit, and some ancient species. You can choose any one."
Carzo's eyes lit up. "Captain, I would very much appreciate the Diamond Diamond Fruit."
Rocks suddenly formed a black vortex in his hand, and the Diamond Diamond Fruit emerged from it. Carzo's suspicions grew, thinking Rocks might possess the Yami Yami no Mi, but he kept his thoughts to himself.
"Thank you, Captain," Carzo said as he accepted the fruit.
Rocks smiled, "Make good use of it."
Carzo exited Rocks' house and headed to his own. He stored the Diamond Diamond Fruit in his space and marveled at its potential. "This is a great fruit. Not only does it provide the toughness of diamond but also its sharpness. Economically, it's on par with the Gold Gold Fruit. I just need to find a talented person to wield it."
Meanwhile, at Navy Headquarters, Fleet Admiral Kong sat in his office, deep in thought. The atmosphere was tense as he reviewed recent orders from the Five Elders. "The Celestial Dragons are very angry right now. We must deal a significant blow to the Rocks Pirates," he declared, his voice firm.
Kong's gaze shifted to the bounty posters spread out before him. Among them was Carzo's new bounty, a staggering 900 million berries. He then addressed the assembled officers. "General Steve, General Sengoku, Vice Admiral Garp, General Zephyr, Vice Admiral Tsuru, ex-General Zod, and ex-General Magnus, we need to strike hard. The World Government is threatening to reduce our funding if we fail, and we also need to avenge ex-Admiral Carl."
Kong continued, "We will start surveillance on each member of the Rocks Pirates. Everyone, choose one to monitor."
Sengoku was the first to speak. "Leave that bastard Carzo to me," he said, a determined glint in his eye.
Garp laughed heartily. "Bwahahahaha! Sengoku, you were defeated by a brat!"
Sengoku's face turned red with anger. He grabbed Garp by the collar. "If it weren't for his dirty tactics, I would have killed him!"
Kong's patience wore thin. His Conqueror's Haki flared, causing the two to release each other. "Enough!" he commanded. "Garp, focus on the mission."
Garp shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't have time for them. I'm busy chasing Roger." He suddenly dashed out of the office, leaving Kong with a headache.
Zephyr spoke up next. "Leave Shiki to me."
Tsuru added, "Then I'll handle Gloriosa."
Zod said, "I'll take Whitebeard."
Magnus declared, "I'll handle Charlotte Linlin."
Tsuru continued, "We still have Kaido, Stussy, John, Ochoku, Silver Axe, and Rocks himself left."
Kong nodded. "Let the giant Vice Admirals deal with Kaido and Stussy. They should be more than enough. As for the rest, the World Government has sent us backup."
Three figures entered the room, drawing the attention of everyone present. "Meet General Max and Admiral Parker from the army, and Admiral Odin from the air force," Kong introduced them.
Zephyr raised an eyebrow. "The World Government also has an air force?"
Kong explained, "Yes, but the air force primarily aids the army in emergency situations. These are their strongest players. General Max, Admiral Parker, and Admiral Odin will handle John, Silver Axe, and Ochoku, respectively. I will personally deal with Rocks. CP0 has been ordered to cooperate with us, and if needed, more backup will be sent. The Celestial Dragons are very angry this time."
He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "The game of the Celestial Dragons is about to begin at God's Valley. We need to make sure nobody interferes. Now go and track them down. Do not attack unless I give the order."
With determined nods, the officers dispersed, each with a clear mission in mind. The Navy was gearing up for one of its most significant operations, and failure was not an option.
