Chapter 2: The Awakening of a Maniac

Your long and vibrant hair was as bright as the sun and fell over your shoulders. Your eyes were a deep red, as if they were two burning coals, contrasting with your healthy, tanned skin.

As you walked through the narrow streets of the small town, you could see the simple and colorful houses that made up the landscape. Some of them had balconies adorned with flower pots, while others had carefully cultivated gardens. Most of the residents seemed to know each other and exchanged cordial greetings on the sidewalks.

In the center of the town was the main square, which was surrounded by some shops, a small supermarket, and an old red brick church. The square had a central gazebo, where live music performances sometimes took place, and there were wooden benches around where residents liked to sit and chat.

The bakery was on the corner of a cobblestone street, a few blocks from the orphanage. It was a low and welcoming building, with glass windows that allowed you to see the interior lit by yellow lamps. The aroma of freshly baked bread hung in the air and invited passersby to come in.

Despite being small, the town had its own charm, which made it a pleasant place to live. For the residents, it was a quiet refuge away from the bustle of big cities. And for Akira, who grew up in the orphanage, it was the only home he knew.

It was then that I heard the sound of a fight coming from a deserted street, and without thinking twice, I ran towards the noise. When I got there, I came across two men fighting violently in front of a bar. My first instinct was to retreat, but something inside me was attracted by the scene. My heart was beating faster and a wave of adrenaline ran through my body, as if I was born to witness it. Even though the blows were clumsy, the fight seemed so real that it made me forget everything around me. It was as if I was watching an epic show, with each punch and tackle increasing the intensity of the battle. My blood boiled with excitement and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

As I watched the fight, a mysterious figure approached me. Her eyes were as red as the fighters', and I couldn't look away. With a firm and authoritative tone of voice, she asked me:

"Why are you here?"

Not knowing what to answer, I stuttered some words. She seemed to evaluate my response and then turned and disappeared into the crowd.

That was when I realized that the fight had ended. The fighters, exhausted, were getting up and wiping the blood from their faces. I stood there, stunned, trying to understand what had just happened. It was as if I had entered another world, a world of battles and mysteries that I never knew existed.

I went back to the orphanage, my head full of thoughts and questions. When I arrived, I found Miss Miyako, the kind caregiver who took care of all us orphans. She looked at me worriedly.

Miss Miyako has always been a very kind and caring person, with a calm personality and a kind smile always on her face. Her straight black hair fell over her shoulders, and she had expressive and bright brown eyes. She always wore a white apron while taking care of the children, and her voice was soft and comforting.

As for the orphanage, it was an old but well-maintained building. It had two floors and a large garden in front, with swings and slides for the children to play on. The walls were painted white, and there were large windows that let the sun in and illuminated the rooms. We had a kitchen, a living room, and a study room, in addition to our bedrooms, where we slept on bunk beds. It was a simple but cozy place, and Miss Miyako did everything to make us feel at home.

"Akira, what happened? Why are you so agitated?"

I couldn't help but smile and respond enthusiastically:

"Oh, Miss Miyako, I was walking around the city to buy bread and ended up seeing an incredible fight between two drunkards. It was so cool! They were so strong and determined, I was very inspired! I've never seen anything like it before! My heart was beating so fast that I could hardly breathe! It was really exciting!"

Miyako seemed worried and angry with my explanation and said:

"Akira, I've told you several times not to walk around alone! You know this city is not as safe as you think! What if something happened to you? How would I explain that to the other orphans or to the authorities?"

Miyako seemed really annoyed and concerned about my safety. I knew she cared about all of us, but sometimes she could be a little too overprotective.

"Of course, Miss Miyako. I'll be careful next time," I replied with a smile on my face.

As I entered the orphanage, I was greeted with warm smiles from my friends. I told them about the fight I saw and how I was inspired by the determination of the fighters. Everyone seemed excited, but Miss Miyako suddenly appeared, interrupting our conversation.

"Sorry, children, but I need you to go back to your rooms now. It's time to sleep."

We all sighed, knowing it was time to return to the routine of the orphanage. As I walked down the hall, I began to think about the fight again. I wanted to know more about those fighters and how they were so determined to win. I decided that the next day, I would research more about martial arts and fighting.

The next day, I woke up early and started reading everything I could about martial arts and fighting. I found that there were many different types of martial arts, each with its own philosophy and fighting style. I was fascinated by the stories of famous fighters and their rigorous training. I started to dream of becoming a fighter too, someone who could inspire others with their courage and determination.
