After leaving Oliver's room, she rushed to her bedroom and sat down on the edge of the bed. Fortunately, Oliver was already exhausted. 

She barely read him a few lines. And then he was already dozing. After a few more minutes, he had succumbed to the darkness.

In her case, she knew sleeping was out of the question.

Damn, think Jules. She silently forced herself to come up with something fast. She knew her husband could walk into their room anytime now.

She looked around the room until her eyes landed on their fake wedding photo. They were both smiling as they looked at each other's eyes.

"It was not real." She told herself, referring to the photo before her. The marriage was a sham.

Nevertheless, she remembered the awkwardness at how they held each other. But it had nothing to do with them being strangers.
