Chapter 164: The End of The Eclipse

15 YEARS AGO, YEAR 5 OF THE MARELIRIAN ECLIPSE

It is early in the evening, three of the land's moons starting to appear on the night sky. The marketplace is bustling as usual, filled with people carrying their baskets, chattering, and milling about. The market is full of goods as well, fresh fish and other sea creatures from the various lakes surrounding Nemebedea, various vegetables newly delivered from the local farms, poultry goods, and many others. Various smells dominate the area, from sweet delights to meat, from baked goods to live produce. The place is full of life, fully unaffected by the war outside the village walls. 

That is, until today.

"How about shrimp soup then, want that one?" Aedea asks her daughter.
