"What a terrifying unique skill that is," Celes muttered as she pondered about what to do with her current situation.
(Running doesn't seem to be an option at the moment. My role here is to keep it away from Orto and co. until they're safe. Until then, I can't leave this thing behind.) Celes thought as the footsteps sounded closer and closer.
(Not good. I can't see its entirety because of this thick fog.) She thought once again as the demon got close enough for Celes to identify its appearance.
Its bird-like muscular leg stepped out of the thick fog slowly exposing its huge feathery build reaching about 4 meters in size.

It let out an ear-piercing screech and charged towards Celes at an incredible speed right after.
(Incoming!) She thought as she jumped backward and let the demon crash onto the barrels she made with its red owl-like head onto the floor.
However, that was a grave mistake on Celes' side. She is fighting a demon of the bird race, meaning being stuck midair is a very disadvantageous situation.
The demon flapped its wing for arms and flew straight to Celes, landing a clean headbutt to her abdomen.
"Ga-ha!" Celes let out such a cry after vomiting a mouthful of blood. She flew and crashed into the wall from the impact causing her to once again spit out another mouthful of blood.

(Not good. I should've healed already but those impacts shaved off my hp like it was nothing plus I think my organs were damaged from that. No, they were damaged without a doubt.) Celen's thought was cut off because of an unknown weird feeling.
Before Celes could tell what that feeling was, she heard the voice of an old man from where the demon is.
"K… kil… m… e… I… wan… to… wit… my… amily…" The demon struggled to say. For a moment the demon regained his senses and stabbed his chest where his heart just enough to expose it before losing his mind again and rushed towards Celes again for another headbutt.
"As if I'll do the same mistake twice." She said so as she jumped and kicked the wall to hop onto where the demon was a moment ago.
(I guess it can't use its skills or its magic because it currently isn't sane enough to do so.) Celes thought before quickly creating a spear out of her blood.
(He must have understood that he won't regenerate even if he opened his chest… he could've just ended himself right then and there though… to save me the trouble.) She thought as she focused on her spear and the demon
The demon once again jumped towards Celes, she then quickly slid forward with the spear in front and went under him. She tried stabbing the heart but the blood spear was crushed with the force and harness of the demon's heart. Her hand went numb for a second as she did that.
(Hard, too hard actually.) Celes thought before making more spears but harder and letting them float around her.
(If that isn't going to work then I just need to do it multiple times. I'm grateful that all it does is jump around.) She thought.
Celes shot one spear towards its legs with enough force to make it fall, Celes then pressed her back onto a wall. As the demon was regaining its footing Celes was spreading cold water onto the floor and wall, she created icy cold orbs of water and let them float around her along with the blood spears, she waited for the demon to get back up.
The demon regained its footing and jumped towards Celes again, failing to grab her as she moves too fast. Celes rolled to the side and let the demon crash onto the wet cold wall. Celes waited for it to stand and turn around to face her.
The moment it attempted to jump towards Celes again. Its attempt ended in failure because of the sudden barrage of high pressured water orbs hitting it. Celes froze the waters by moving away the fire attributed mana around the demon and gathered the water attributed mana. This is something she learned when she was battling Olivia and her men.
The water she shot immediately froze on impact and froze the lower half of the demon. The ice was slowly cracking from the flailing of the demon so Celes quickly shot blood spears all over it, mostly on the hole on its chest. The blood that splattered also froze so the demon could only stand there and take them head-on. It was not sane enough to defend or break the ice and its instincts were simply telling it to kill the vampire in front of it.
Its HP was slowly being scraped off same with the blood Celes has. It was a race in which one runs out first. Celes has an advantage as her enemy's heart is exposed, but its defense is high enough to endure all that barrage thus rendering Celes' advantage useless.
A minute passed and Celes was starting to feel exhausted, which she found strange.
(I shouldn't be feeling this exhausted just from this… status…) Celes thought before opening her status.

(So that feeling earlier was because of this… I let my guard down…) Celes thought while her barrage was slowing down. Celes guessed that her weakened status caused her body to require more blood to maintain itself.

Sorry for the delay, the school was really busy during the last month. Now that I got my time back, I can post weekly again. Probably.
Cursed skill owners shall be called Victims from here on out. Why? I just felt like it. I also thought it could add a little more background to future characters.
Also, the next chapter is going to show how celestial vampires enter their rage state. Vaguely only though.
