Chapter 7: Ash is back?!?
Anna was in her class with Mushy. Anna sat at the back and Mushy right in front of her.
Mushy is almost always early, and she comes regularly. Anna is just on time but late rarely. Ash is always very late but rarely early. Hazy is just a few minutes late, but sometimes, just on time. Rose was all of the above.
"Did you see the match last night ?" Mushy asked.
"No, and you know only you are interested in boring stuff." Anna said.
"Whatever." Mushy said.
"Heyyyy," Hazy said, entering the class.
"Hii," Anna replied.
"Hi Hazel." Mushy said.
"What do you guys think will Ash come today?" Hazy asked.
"No, she is still outta town." Anna said.
"Are you sure that she will not come today?" Rose asked.
"Yeah..... Actually," Anna paused to think and then continued," No , I haven't heard from her yet, so I assumed that she might not be back."
"Amhmm!" Rose noded slightly.
"Why? Have you heard from her? Is she back?" Anna asked with a bit of shock in her voice.
"No, I thought you might know something since..." Rose muttered.
"You said something?" Anna asked with,'' Was that directed towards me face?''
" No, nothing to you. Uhh, um, never mind." Rose said with a smile.
But Anna saw something beneath that smile for a moment. HATE?
"Are you guys okay?" Hazy asked with an annoyed face. Hazy was also worried for Anna, but she didn't express it. She, secretary, was scared of Rose herself, but she was good at hiding it. She just felt some vibes that made her uncomfortable every time Rose smiled at Anna. Mushy was just sitting there and was reading her novel, which she had lent to Rose. "Good girl, bad blood." It was one of the favourite novels that Mushy had read. Rose was quite heated. She sat down quickly, and a smirk appeared on her face. She just wanted to....
...
"She texted."Anna said.
"Who and What?" Rose asked.
"Ash texted, saying she had been in a crash." Anna said.
"What..." Hazy asked with shock, almost choking her. Then, after a brief moment, she continued,"Is she okay?"
"Ummm... Well, yeah, she is safe and alright. It happened yesterday, but her car is totally crushed." Anna replied.
"Did you know?" Hazy asked, looking at Rose.
"Yeah, I saw her messages just before coming here." Rose replied.
"Why didn't you tell me? You came here before Anna and I was already here, you could have told me. Are you hiding something from us. She could have texted in the "only you three" group, but no, she just decided to tell Anna. I want you to tell me exactly what you know. " Hazy said, completely heated up.
"Hazel, Hazy .. calm down." Rose said, a little worry in her voice which would have sounded soothing to Hazey under other circumstances.
"I will ones you tell the truth," Hazy said.
"Haze, listen, I will talk to you alone separately another time. "Rose replied.
Hazy turned pale white. No one had called her Haze in like ages. Anna did not seem to notice neither the name nor Hazey's reaction.
"Guys, I too exist." Clear saddeness in Anna's voice.
"Shi... We have to revise our work, the teacher is almost here. She will not spare us." Rose said, realising it's 3:30 now.
"You will pay," Rose thought.
"I will make you pay Annalese!"
