Chapter 19: Witness ... HAZY!?!
"I don't think I can do this." Anna muttered to herself.
"Heyyyyy!" Hazel said as she entered the class and sat next to Anna, who held her head in her hands," What's wrong?"
" Nothing... Well, I needed you guys today, and I don't think they will come." Anna said.
"I am here. I am always here." Hazy said.
"You can't be here after 6, can you?" Anna asked, trying to make it natural.
"I am sorry." Hazy said," but did they agree?"
"Rose ain't coming, and Ash said she'll try." Anna said.
"Oh. I am here till 6, at least. You can tell me, and we'll figure it out by then." Hazy suggested.
"No, it's not the same. It's about something they should know."
"Something I don't know?" Hazy sighed, hurt, " You do know I know more than them and maybe something you don't know."
"Huh, hmm," Anna chucked.
'' What would I do to tell you everything.'' Anna thought.
"You are hiding too much. I know it, and I can understand it. I feel the same way."
"Huhhh!" Anna said her nose flared and eyebrow raised. She was now actually serious. Her eyes were filled with salty water she hated to admit were tears. She was trying not to let them flow. "Okay. Tell me. I am listening. Tell me what's going on." She said, waving her arm angrily.
"If I do, you will be obliged to tell me the truth too. " It ended as a question, like asking if Anna accepts the deal.
"Fine." She said and shut her eyes, allowing the tears to flow out from her eyes towards her now red cheeks.
"I was the witness." Hazy said.
"What? I don't understand. No. I don't know what you are talking about. "
"About 4 or maybe 5 years ago?"
"I don't know." Anna said as she got up and pulled her bag over her shoulder. " I am sorry, I just can't bear anything else. I am leaving."
"No. You can't." Hazy yelled after Anna, who was already out of the class. "Lecture is about to start."
"He must have finished Rose by now." Anna whispered. ''SH1T. I F*CKING HATE YOU HAZEL.'' Anna thought. She ran towards the gate, but their teacher was just coming. She could get scary sometimes, but Rose was more important. Logically thinking, it wasn't possible for Anna to run out with no one to take her God knows where.
"Where are you going?" The teacher, Mam Nancy, asked.
"Nowhere, I believed the lecture wasn't started, so I was just wandering." Anna said. It was a really rude attitude, but it wasn't planned that way.
"Oh, I didn't realise that I am the one at mistake."
"I am sorry."
"Come on, Anna, let's go to class. Oh, Mam Nancy, you are here. I thought you might be taking a leave today since you were coughing yesterday. I was the one who told Anna that you wouldn't be here, so she could go to get water just a few seconds before the lecture starts."
"Alright, I am off to class." Anna said as she ignored Nancy, who was blabbing about getting water with bagpack, and ran towards class, Hazy right behind her. They both put their bags at the last bench and sat down.
"The damage is done."
"What?"
"Rose must be dead by now."
"WHAT!?!"
