Chapter 2: 002
*Raon POV*
With all the papers signed, I am now the sole owner of the White family wealth. Shin looks at his watch for a few seconds and says, "While we have some time, I will leave you alone to grieve over your loss." After Shin says that, he leaves the room. Now alone with only my thoughts, so put my head down on the desk and cry. Tears rushed out of my eyes. I don't know how long I cried, yet after a couple of hours no more tears would fall out. I just keep my head on the desk and close my eyes. A knock on the door forces my head off the desk. I rub my eyes and start to walk over to the door. When I open it, Shin is there, he hands me a phone. While I grab the phone he says, "Here Sir, this phone contains various contacts your grandfather had. This includes his employees, companies he has shares in, friends, and people who owe him something. I have already labeled everything for you. Now please follow me, Sir."
He starts to walk down the hallway however instead of going upstairs he goes downstairs. While we are walking he starts to say,
"Your grandfather was a genius. He had made great contributions to various disciplines like science, math, engineering, energy, and more. While in his older years, he's backed off from that scene. Recently however he has been working on something."
We arrive at a double door. The door doesn't look out of the ordinary, however when Shin walks to it and tries to open it. A panel opens up beside it, the panel looks high-tech. Shin motion me to the panel, and after some hesitation, I place my hand on it. It stays silent for a second, and I feel a small prick. I rapidly pull my hand back, and I then notice the panel is rapidly reading a bunch of numbers. After a couple of seconds, it glows green, and the door begins to open. Shin then says, "The device needed your blood, it then scanned your DNA, fingerprint, and ancestry. It was an invention your grandfather made."
We walk inside the room, and high-tech machines and other equipment fill the room. Shin then goes to a specific cabinet, opens it, and pulls out a briefcase. He hands me the briefcase and says, "I will be waiting for you upstairs, this was the last thing he was working on." He starts to walk outside the room, and I am left alone again. I look at the briefcase and I notice some elaborate details. It was carved with a dragon and phoenix design. They were circling some type of exotic fruit. I open the briefcase, and the only items inside are a button and a vial of liquid. I first press the button, then a hologram of my dead grandpa opens up. It first asks everybody but me to leave the room, then it says,
"Hello Raon, I am just leaving this message to explain what I left you. I call it Gods Blood, it's a genetically perfect enhancer. A couple of years ago, we found an ancient grave site. Inside this grave site were recorded from times we never knew existed. We also found small amounts of different persevered blood, however, the most important thing was a small-sized fruit. At first, we didn't know what type of fruit it was until we were able to decipher the records. The fruit was called a Fruit of Life. It grows from a mythical tree, we also learned what the preserved blood was. The preserved blood was a dragon, phoenix, werewolf, vampire, fairy, demon, and ancient human. We theorized that more tombs were in the world. We split up our findings with each other, Sarah got the vampire blood and fairy blood, Lucas got the Werewolf blood and demon blood, and I got the rest. While they each used the blood on themselves, I took mine and researched it. I refined it, I even was able to combine the Life Fruit. While I don't know all the effects, I do know your body and mind will go through qualitative changes. Lifespan will increase, and you might gain some mythical abilities. I don't know if the others know, however, I found evidence that proves the existence of a magical side of our society..." After all that, grandpa started to talk about some of our fond memories and moments. The recording talked for a couple of hours, he then finally said, "Raon just know I will always love you, and you will always be my grandson. After this recording is over the first part and this part will be deleted. The only thing left will be my rant about my life. Goodbye grandson."
I stay still after my grandpa's last words in the recording. I wipe the fresh tears off my face and stare at the vial of liquid. I keep looking at it for a couple of moments. I bit down on my lip and came to a decision. I open the vial and gulp it down. I now look at the empty vial, and after a couple of minutes, I notice nothing happened. I sigh, then an excruciating pain spread throughout my body. I fall on the floor, and start to scream out in pain. Blood begins to flow outside my body. This pain slowly starts to fade after an unknown amount of time. While I lay down inside my pool of blood, my consciousness starts to fade.
*3rd POV*
After Raon fainted his body began to undergo some changes. His body become more compact, his black hair began to fade into a snow white. His black eyes changed into a holy pure golden. A black symbol of a dragon and phoenix circling a fruit appears on the back of his hand. This symbol flashes a couple of times before disappearing.
