Chapter 43: Chapter 43

<Hurricane, Utah>

-12:30 P.M.-

In the night of this city, sirens were loud and seemed to echo everywhere.

Few cars were on their way home with little to no activity as the day ended.

In some of many buildings lay the main county jail.

Through a the first story window a conversation on a phone could be heard.

-/-/-

[-nd make sure he talks alright?!-]

"Yes, I understand sir."

[-Good I have a fresh latte waiting for me in bed-]

*Schzzt*

*sigh*

"Why do I always get the wierd ones.."

A man in brown clothes with a black shirt and pants was about to head home for the night before a call came in from the head police investigator.

He had just now assigned him, a lone investigator, who was packing up to a new lead on what was happening around the area, where dozens of people have gone missing..

It all pointed to the new detainee currently waiting in an interrogation room.

Picking up his files the investigator sat up from his squeaky dolly chair and grabbed a smoke from his right pocket with a chrome brushed lighter in his other.

Taking a quick puff he let out the smoke before walking out his door and into the lightly dim hallway.

Just a few ways down was where he needed to be, Room 147.

As he walked he noticed mostly everyone had gone home for the night and only some officers and office workers were left trying to stay awake with a mug of coffee.

Taking his keys he had reached the interrogation room with a blurry window.

*Squeeeaak*

Opening the door he saw a man with a yellow office shirt and brown pants, but the most notable thing about him was his rugged hair, layed back posture… and those bright purple eyes of his..

"So you must be Mr.William Afton correct." The investigator said trying to spark a conversation.

William simply shrugged and cracked his knuckles.

Walking up to the table William sat by, the investigator sat on a separate chair opposite of him and laid down the files he had brought with him.

"Well, my names Jerry Coleman, I'll be with you tonight but I want to get home so let's make this quick shall we." The now named Jerry said as he opened the files and took a look at the first page.

"So maybe you already know, but we've had a lot of disappearances lately, mostly centering around Freddy's.. you know about those right?" Jerry said looked at William with a smoke in his mouth.

William leaned back in his chair and responded.

"Who doesn't, it's been the talk around here for the past 20 years, people think it's a curse to even live here anymore.." He said putting his hands on the table looking at the camera in the corner of the room.

Jerry was silent and took out his cigarette before burning it out onto the table.

"Look Mr.Afton, I'll be straightforward with you, you've been here the past.. what? 30 years? I know what's happened to your children.. to your wife, I've seen your results from therapy, whenever someone goes missing you've either been seen near the crime hours earlier or later, but whenever we've approached you and brought you in for questioning we can't get anything off you." Jerry said seriously.

"Hell we've even had eye witnesses come in person saying they think your responsible for these disappearances, so I'm asking you now.. do you know anything behind these incidents?" Jerry said hopefully.

It's been true, all the years these disappearances and tragedies happen the police can't find anything, they can't make any connections, families won't talk or they move away, it's like finding the smallest needle in the biggest haystack that's evaded police for years.. it was truly frustrating.

William simply smirked.

"If I knew anything I'd help of course, I've been working currently so I'm not able to look out my window every 24 hours for a sign." He said raising his arms.

Jerry narrowed his eyes and brows.

"And what work is that Mr.Afton? It says in these files you've had no working job or source of income aside from your dead wifes insurance. I might be new to your particular case ever since I've come here but I can see what's happening.. you know some, thing don't you? Your just hiding it.. and why to hide from police? Are you the one responsible for these incidents?" Jerry said standing up hands the the table nearly shouting.

William, picking his ear, shrugged before flicking it away.

"I think questionings over, I have things to do so don't take up my time." William said moving up his cuffed wrists towards Jerry.

Sighing, Jerry got up and took out his keys to unlock him, he couldn't do anything to him if he had nothing on him. He would need enough proof and evidence to even get him in court.. but there's none to be found.

Jerry looking at the door asked for the officer on stand by to escort William out of the building to the parking lot where he could get a ride home.

William followed the burly police officer before turning around at Jerry who was still in the room.

"You know Coleman, you can find what your looking for, you just gotta look in front of you." He said with a light smile slightly pissing off Jerry.

<Williams POV>

'These cops really are idiots, for years the answer they need has walked right in front of them, they've even had the evidence they needed but their chief got rid of it due to safety hazards.. like a broken off robotic arms is gonna do anything.' William thought scoffing.

Walking down the hallway with the burly officer he neared the parking lot.

"You know William, as long as I've known you ever since you came in here on day one I don't think your a bad guy.. I know your pain, I've lost family too." The officer said while escorting William.

Taking a glimpse at the officers name tag, William simply remained silent earning a look of pity from the now named Officer Briggs.

*Crzzr*

*Czzrr-POP*

The hallway lights suddenly began to flicker before popping leaving the hallway dark.

"Damn, must be another power outage.. they need to fix those generators, I'm getting tired of almost walking into a wall." Briggs said with disdain.

Luckily for them the ligh of the moon shown through the door that led to the lot.

Both of them walked crunching on some broken glass of the bulbs before reaching the door exit.

*Creaak*

The cold wind blew through the two of them inviting them into its glory.

"Well have a nice one, good luck with your… work." Briggs said before turning around.. but he stopped.

"W-what's that?"

William turned around to see what he was talking about due to the quick change in his tone.

Eyes bulging wide open was a 6'7 tall blue bunny animatronic with white dotted eyes.

Before either of them could react, the bunny pulled up its right arm and punched so hard into Briggs stomach that it went out the other side.

Williams eyes were as wide as saucers and he backed up only to hit something else.

There he saw chicas large toothed mouth hanging open with both eyes focused entirely on him.

*Thunmp*

Backing up from the tall chicken he almost tripped when he walked onto Briggs now dead body with a gaping hole in his chest.

*Duh-duh-duh-dum-dum-doo-do-*

He heard that familiar song of a pirates rhyme echoing around him.

*Scccraaaaaap*

Foxy appeared from the side of the building with his large shiny hook scraping against the brick wall making William wince at the sound.

William looked for an opening to escape and looked past to see a car with one of its doors unlocked.

Sprinting as fast as he could he ducked under Bonnie's arm that was sent out in an attempt to reach him.

*Gibbering*

William smashed into the car doors side and quickly opened it before jumping into its driver seat.

*BaNg*

William looked up in fear as Chica and Bonnie both slammed their large furry fists into the cars hood with foxy fast approaching.

Looking around he saw the keys still in its ignition quickly turning it making the car roar to life.

"Fuckers, not going to get me!" William yelled as he put the gear into reverse and drove backwards making the two big animatronics fall forward.

Laughing William began to set on the road before a loud screech hit his ears.

*Smassssh*

Looking in the rear view mirror was foxy holding into the back seat with his large metal hook and his arm reaching out in an attempt to grab at William.

In fear, William swerved onto the highway going left and right to try and throw foxy off.

"y-YoU aRe MiNe-"

William turned his head in shock to hear the loveable pirate speak directly towards him.

Moving the steering wheel to a hard right it managed to throw foxy off the car and onto the street with no other car in sight in the moonlit night.

As foxy faded from sight in the rear view mirror William heaved a sigh of relief.

"I-I made it! What the hell was that.. they were alive, they killed that officer but they wanted me.. I need to get back to the restaurant.." William said anxiously.

Something was happening and it was dangerous, he needed to get his work equipment and any trace of his being that he left.

With his two bright head lights speeding away into the distance, he left two figures that floated in the night sky.

"So you think this will work?"

It was the slender form of the puppet next to the large body of golden Freddy.

Charlie waited for an answer before it replied in the deep tone of a boy.

"Yes it'll work, she had doubts, but for now she needs to wait."

It was Evan who had responded back.

He was referring to Cassidy who had re-entered the suit with him.

"For now, get the others and we'll meet you there."

Evan to charlotte before he began to distort out of sight of the puppet.

Charlie sighed and looked off into the distance of where William road.. towards the restaurant.

"Tonight… is the end."

To be continued.
