Ruth found Edwin staring out of the window, lost in his thoughts. She felt bad for him. He was silent and in low spirits since his conversation with his family. He expected them to support him at least for the sake of their breed, but they refused.
Ruth cleared her throat, and put up a smile on her face. "Edwin, come on! I have brought some snacks for us. Let's eat!" She placed the tray of the food on the table and began serving the plates, but he didn't move, nor did he make any sound.
Ruth straightened up before walking to stand behind him. She hugged him from behind and rested her face on his taut back.
"Are you okay?" She asked him gently.
"No, but I must as soon as possible!" He finally replied.
"I know you are upset Edwin, but you shouldn't take it out on food. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday."
Edwin held her hands on his chest before turning to face her.
"I am not hungry."
"Please, Edwin! For me at least. I also haven't eaten anything." She confessed.
It has been a wonderful journey of one and a half years, and I cannot even describe how much I enjoyed every moment with all you lovely people!
Now, the first volume of AMOG- 'The Secrets of the Originators' is coming to an end at the end of this month.
But don't worry because Edwin and Ruth still have a long way to go with each other and for each other! And to give that amazing experience to you guys, I am going to take a break for a few weeks.
It means the second volume will be the continuation of this story in the same book from August. I hope you will enjoy the rest of the story as much as you have enjoyed it so far!
