Chapter 40: 40

Myrtle's heart jumped violently, Her hands formed into a fist and she pushed Syrus away with all her strength. 

"Your Highness?!" She spoke breathlessly, 

Syrus didn't faze much because of her push and he looked at her scared face with a blank face. Myrtle covered her lips with her hand. After looking at him for a few seconds Myrtle ran out of the room. 

She slammed the door close behind her and through the loud thud of the door, she heard Syrus's voice that was silenced by the sound of the door. 

Myrtle felt light-headed and she hurriedly ran through the hallway looking like a ghost. One of her hands was holding on to the wilding beating heart while the other supported her body against the wall. When she knew she was at a safe distance from her room she stopped to catch her breath. She breathed in heavily and looked back with a confused look.
