Chapter 31: CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE:Peace Would Never Be An Option To Her.
Tiana noticed the beads of sweat that were forming on Lawyer Gary's face,and smirked at that sight.
That's what she wanted.For him to be scared of her, because she can assure him that once she gets her hands on those assets she's getting rid of him.
That's a promise.
He's a big fool not to have advised her grandma over what she was trying to do,was not the best solution to tackle the mess she had caused but rather he had gone along to sign the will.
Well, unfortunately for the both of them,she doesn't plan on making this any easier for her grandma either or her supposed husband to be.
What was his name again?
Alexander Black.
Yeah,that's what Kai told her.She has a dining date with him tomorrow and she couldn't wait for the day to run by sooner so that she could ruin it.
Commitment was a big word,with a whole lot of responsibilities she wasn't ready to face right now.
She wouldn't lie or deny the fact that she didn't love what her dad did by going against his mother,to reveal to the world what she was planning on doing to her grandmother.
That would teach her a huge lesson that she was treading on dangerous grounds,and until she stops meddling in her matters,Peace would never be an option to her.
Her dad really did a good one on her,but that doesn't change the fact that they weren't on good terms.
There's no point in standing up for her, when he couldn't stand for her mother.Thats what she meant by him standing for her if he really did went against his mother's wish and took her mom's side.
She could feel Kai's hit gaze on her which clearly reminded her that she wasn't doing this for her wholeheartedly, but she cared more about her future and inheritance than the look on her face that says that she's doing it all wrong.
Turning to meet the unfading fearful eyes of the lawyer,who for some reason had his hands under his table, she suspected that something was going on with him.
"I won't really do that if i were you Gary ''She advised,with a wry smile on face that says she knew what he's doing.
He's contacting dear old granny,and that could have been avoided if Kai had paid more attention to him to notice what he was doing.
Rather than cluing her gaze on her to check if she's going to throw her designer heels on his face,once he talks about something that pisses her off.
Well unfortunately,her shoe costs a lot and Lawyer Gary doesn't deserve the honor of that.She will rather burn them than to haul it at him to design his ugly looking face.
Kai finally made a move towards the man, and snatched his phone out of his unwilling fingers, that held onto it as if that was his only hope of escaping from this situation.
She couldn't help but burst into a piff of laughter,like why the hell is he scared of her?
She has not even done anything with him yet for him to be that scared of her,it's not as if he doesn't know that she has no power…yet.
"I'm sorry…I really couldn't help it but think…"He nervously said amidst laughter, that had him stuttering that couldn't help but make Tiana complete his words.
"That I'm about to kill you"She concluded for him,before seeing the look on his face that says that she's right.
Well to dissapoint him,she's anything but not a murderer.Nah,her nails are way too expensive to soak it in his blood.
"I'm not murder,Gary.you watch too much Korea drama,I just want to know what about my mother's will"She finally said,with all seriousness for him to know that she meant business.
Even if he tried to believe that she wasn't here to murder him,he can't let his guards down.This was Catrina's granddaughter,and she's no better than her granny either.
Her guard alone was clearly shown that she isn't in any way in support of this sudden visit, there's no point in him trying to contact his client to let her know that her child came over.
She's going to know that from the look on her guard's face,he has always anticipated this moment but judging from yesterday's argument which he was there to witness with the son and mother,he didn't expect to see her anytime soon.
Was she agreeing to get married as per her Grandma's will?
If that's what this visit was all about,well there's no need for Catrina to worry about her any longer.
"To be frank with you Tia.."
"Ah ah"She halted him,did he suddenly get brave because she said she wasn't here to kill him.
How dare he call her by her name?
"It's Miss Tiana for you,ew! You aren't my friend to call me by my name"She rolled her eyes at him.
Sassiness on another level,would his client be able to have a normal day,without trying to bash something against her granddaughter's head.
She's rude, and disrespectful for a young girl like her.if she is going to win against her granny in this fight between them,she will have to call down and not let her emotions cloud her judgement.
He knew what her old woman was doing, didn't make any sense for a young lady like her.But right now,he couldn't say the same anymore where she is.
"Well,I'm sorry Miss,but it's against the rules to read her will when she's still ali.."
"Do you have a death wish?''She cut him short again, but this time she had enough of sitting down here and watching him waste her time.
"Do you think i came here without having any idea that it wasn't, against the fucked up rules of your crappy profession to read the will if she's still alive?!"
She stood up,while matching angrily to him that had him leaning back on his seat from her sudden outbursts.
"Tiana let him speak first for crying out loud,"Kai yelled after her.
Geez!
She needs to get a hold of her temper,at this rate even her supposed betrothed will leave her nasty ass once sees her like this.
That dinner date tomorrow isn't going to end up a successful one,Kai knew that.Alexander Black would leave her and then who knows?
Her Grandmother might get more angry at her, and then marry her off to someone who's old enough to be her dad.
"You can't file for a divorce once you are married if it doesn't last a year,once you do that.Your entire fortune goes to charity"Lawyer Gary blurted out and then saw her lose it.
"What?"The two ladies asked, shocked.
Damn!
This was just the aspect of her granny's will that wasn't favourable to the lady, which he had tried to make the old lady change her mind countless times,but she didn't burge.
Even to her family,she was still the cold hearted business woman she was.
At this moment,it didn't mean anything to Kai if Tiana ends up killing her grandma,this was just pushing the young lady to her limits.
How could she do such a thing?
"I'm sorry Miss,I tried everything possible to make her change her mind,but she isn't someone to listen when she makes up her mind"
Lawyer Gary apologized,it hurt his heart saying this because it doesn't make any sense to him either on why Catrina would do that to her.
"Is there no other option?''Tiana found herself asking him,well…it's not a surprise that her grandma could do such a thing.
But this…is too much,and she couldn't help it but hate and despise the reason for being a Hamilton in the first place.
Even to her only grandchild.She's still the same self centered, heartless and worst granny of the year.
"I'm sorry mi…"Lawyer Gary said,but she was out of his office even before he could finish his words as her female bodyguard followed behind.
"Tiana stop!"Kai calleri,but she was walking so fast that she pushed someone out of her way, and she didn't care to know if it was someone of a high caliber.
She can be quite messy when she's angry,and it wasn't in her place to say this.But, amidst that strong attitude of hers,she was also a crybaby that needed somewhere to hide and cry.
She didn't want her to be there to see her do that,that's all.
"Stay away from me!"She yelled, rushing out of the law firm and hiding behind a stall to let Kai stop looking for her.
She saw her come outside,and sighed deeply when she didn't see her anymore before running towards the opposite direction.
When she's sure the coast is clear,she comes out of her hiding place before leaving for god nowswhere..
She needed to have a drink and get drunk,and she needed that badly.That's the only way she can forget whatever is going on in her life right now.
She wants to be happy,for once. But it seems Catrina Hamilton being alive wouldn't allow her to feel that way.
She's only showing her more reasons why she prays everyday she chokes on her food and dies,but that's such an easy way to die right?
"Fuck!"She said, wiping away the tear that were threatening to fall before leaving to get herself drunk.
