Chapter 23: CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE: Andromeda Kings is Back.
It was as if the cameras were on cue waiting for the moment she walked out to start taking gorgeous photos of her,and did she love it?
Yes.
That's who Andromeda Kings was,she loves the attention and right now being the one who had it all, made her give her brightest smile as her guards helped her pave way through the crowd who couldn't wait to start with their questions.
"How's your trip back to the country?"
"Is there really any special reason for why you left?"
The questions were unending,and for the very first time a particular question had her hold on to the smile on her face before she lost her cool.
"Is it true that Damien has a secret Fianceè,is that true madam?"
She couldn't really capture the face of who had to spoil her mood,which she could have treated the mother fuckers bullshit for asking such a private questions.
She doesn't really understand why it gives people pleasure while interfering in other people's lives.
Well,he or she is a journalist and that's the occupation which she hated to the wits,they had no human dignity in them.
Even if they wanted to ask such a question? There's good timing for that and not today being the very first day she just came back to her motherland,like who the hell does that?
Amidst the oozes and gasps that her mere presence in the airport attracted such an attention,she wasn't happy not seeing who she wanted waiting to welcome her back.
What was she thinking?
That he would rather spare some time to welcome his mother,when he could be busy looking for someone to pretend like his fianceè?
Of course,there's no way such a rumor could occur if there wasn't some truth in it,but she wasn't able to know exactly who he would introduce tonight as his fianceè because of his numerous flings.
If that a habit of his or just a strategy to make her confused, so that she wouldn't know who exactly he's bringing to see her tonight?
Andromeda couldn't tell,not at all.
"Welcome back home,my lady"James, Damien's PA,bowed in respect while standing beside two of her men.
His boss had sent him over instead to welcome his mother,and to see that she had a safe journey back home to the family house which was to be his duties as her son.
The car door was opened wide for her,the moment they were clear of the burging reporters which made the smile on her face die down instantly.
She stopped,and turned to look at James whose face was looking ahead,not daring to look into her eyes just for his own safety.
He hasn't met her before,but the way his boss behaves whenever he's on the phone with her made it known to him that she was not to be messed with.
Snapping her fingers while trying to remember something,"James right?"She asked,which shocked him because he didn't have any idea that she knew his name.
"Yes ma'am"He replied in a haste,the fear of wasting her time wasn't something that would help right at this moment.
Just as he looked right back at her,he could read the disappointment on her face over the fact that he wasn't the one she expected.
It was obvious.
Andromeda didn't say anything else,she had nothing to say yet over the fact that her son would send a helper than him to see her.
"Jessica,"She called.
"Yes,My lady"Responded the blondie, who James didn't know was standing right at her back for a while, came rushing in front of her to help her into the car while holding the base of her maxi print gown.
She was properly her new PA, because he overheard his boss saying that she fired the latter who wasn't up to her standard, and had her complaining on silly occasions.
Jessica… is gorgeous.
James couldn't help,but feel attracted right at that moment towards the blondie who was working for his boss's mother, and also the chairwoman of Kings Corporation.
Was that an act of silliness on his part or was it the fact that he couldn't help it because she was just his spec of a woman he wanted?
"Hey!''Andromeda called over to him, rolling her eyes at the likes of whom her son preferred to be working for him.
A womaniser just like his boss.
Who knows if he doesn't help him to…
"Pardon me,Ma'am,I was abit…"
"Forget it"She said with her right hand raised while looking at him from inside the car,"I want you to relay a message back to your boss"
"Your wish is my com..m..and my La..dy"He said,yet his eyes were still stucked on the young lady who sat at the back of the car with Andromeda.
Get a hold of yourself man,you don't want to get fired!
He warned himself.
"Jessica"Andromeda called her personal assistant,who delayed giving her what she wanted, which was as a result of her noticing the look she was getting from the man outside.
Okay.
It was really lovely seeing the both of them act so cute,it reminds her of her younger days with her husband who's long dead.
They looked cute, and really funny watching how hard it was for Damien's secretary to get a grip of himself.
Yeah, Jessica was a good looking woman, Industrious and would make a fine companion for her son,but he would be too blind to notice her talkmore of asking for a date.
Damien is just.. impossible!
"Sorry ma'am"She apologized,before handing the card to her with a nervous smile on her face ,which she rolled her eyes to.
If it was her former assistant Linda?she would have snapped, since Linda knew how to make her talk too much.
"I'm afraid you know what's going to be the fate of you and him if he doesn't adhere to this?"She asked, handing him the card which was nothing but the location where they were having dinner tonight.
It was meant to be a family dinner.
Her,Damien, Chelsea and of course her little bumpkin,Daisy.
But she had far more important matters at hand ,which was meeting Damien and his intended wife to be.
Besides, Chelses was another long story to be told another time. She didn't just want to think about her daughter because she knew that she would surely get a headache doing that.
The two were nothing like her,and had a similar trait running through their veins which is nothing, but acute stubbornness just like their dad.
"I will pass the message across to him,ma'am"James wasn't stupid not to know what this is,his boss was in real trouble if he doesn't listen to his mom this time around.
"Good!"She said in a cold tone,before pressing the window up and turning to face the driver who started the car.
"Any news on Chelsea?''She asked Jessica,who pushed her glasses up to give her the tablet which was nothing but a video that could cause a stir online,that would it be if it hadn't started already?
When will she ever grow up?
Andromeda thought,but something else caught her fancy, which was nothing but the familiar face of the lady who was kneeling down in front of her daughter in a shopping mall in Paris.
"Who is she?"She asked, pointing at the screen.
"That,I haven't figured out yet,"Jessica said, and gulped a lump down her throat when she received a glare from her madam."I would do that soon"
"She looks familiar"She said,and looked out of the window, bringing it down as the wind blew at her face.
The taste of her home was different from that of a foreign country,it's home sweet home baby!
