"What did I say" Wanda spoke, causing the imposter to look up, into her eyes.
"I said that he'll find out one day…" Wanda continues. Her imposter who was finally free from her restraint scoffed.
"And I also said that it will not change anything." The fake said and then she turned her head towards Bryan, waiting for him to say something.
But seeing Bryan's poker face, she spoke again. "There's no difference between her and me! We both look like Elizabeth."
Fake Wanda's voice word not only made Bryan's poker face show a frown but also all the people hearing her.
"You only care about her because of your wife." Fake Wanda shrieked seeing Bryan still not saying anything, but it only made Bryan stop paying her any attention instead. Bryan moved back to calm his self and letting Wanda deal with her doppelgänger.
With him erasing Fake Wanda's power, Wanda shouldn't be in any danger, and even if she was, it's not like Fake Wanda can harm her under his watch…not anymore at least.
"Why! What didn't I do that she did! I always cared about your opinions, and never questioned them unlike her." Fake Wanda shrieks even loudly, watching Bryan walk away.
Bryan heard her question again and decided to answer while still walking "Yes, I only cared about her because of Elizabeth…but our time together changed all that. I truly fell in love with Wanda and as for you doing anything for me…I never wanted that because if I ever did, I could have created the perfect ideal woman" Bryan's words caused a beautiful smile to emerge on Wanda's face, but one look on her other self's face faded that smile.
Wanda moved past her imposter and walked up to Pietro. She talked with her brother and healed both him and his girlfriend before walking back to the fake Wanda.
Wanda pulled her up by her hair, and looked towards Bryan who opened a portal to his personal Dimension, letting Wanda dragged her alternate self into it.
Once both Wandas walked into the portal, it closes, causing the people standing to look at each other in silence. Slowly the Atmosphere turned awkward as some Avengers wanted to ask what was happening, but looking at Bryan silently standing in some distance, they hesitated.
Tony, for whom the awkward silence was unbearable, moved towards Bryan.
"Bryan cares to explain, of course, I know what's happening here! I'm just asking for these guys standing behind me." Tony says while pointing his thumbs at the dumbfounded Avengers behind him.
"Not cool Mr Stark!" Peter in his Spiderman suit bellowed at Tony throwing them under the bus.
Bryan gave Tony a weird look which Tony caught and replied with a shrug. "Don't give me that look, he's above eighteen.
"17 and some months, I will turn eighteen in August." Peter corrected which caused a vein to pop in Tony's head.
"Same thing. When I was at that age I was doing even wilder things and if you can fight aliens then you can also join Avengers." Tony replied calmly, not wanting to yell at the teen.
"Not that all of this is legal anyway." But Tony still muttered, and it was loud enough for both Sam and Bucky to hear.
Both Avengers who fought against Tony's registration act scoffed at his pettiness.
Peter also got the meaning behind Tony's words and tried to diffuse the non-existent tensions.
Bryan released a hearty chuckle as he watch Peter argue with an annoyed Tony. Their banter made him remember the relationship between them in his previous life, both on and off-screen.
After Peter stopped pestering Tony, he finally managed to question Bryan again which Bryan answered along with a few more.
When Bryan talked about his Multiverse travel especially where he met another Spiderman, Peter couldn't hold back his curiosity and started firing off questions. At some point, Bryan even felt Peter was too obsessed with the Multiverse, and hoped that he won't mess with the "Canon" in future.
During the whole conversation, Bryan didn't stop checking Wanda inside his Dimension.
He heard everything Wanda talked about with her imposter and also watched her torture the fake Wanda by making her keep living the moment where vision died, once she saw fake Wanda becoming immune to vision's death, she started showing the death of her "boy".
At the end of her mental torture the fake Wanda was already broken, but Wanda didn't let her rest as she slowly started lacerating her soul, making even the broken Fake to scream.
And only after Wanda got satisfied torturing her, she killed her alternate self and fell back into the grassland. Her beautiful face had a relieved smile.
Wanda left the Dimension a few minutes later and hugged Bryan.
"I'm sorry…" Bryan apologised again, but Wanda shook her head and looked up. Her lips curled in a beautiful arc.
"Umnhumn, It wasn't your fault, If I hadn't forced you to fight Apocalypse, this wouldn't have happened," Wanda said while looking into Bryan's eyes.
Bryan fell silent, contemplating her words, but even if I wanda said that he felt guilty.
Wanda must have guessed Bryan's thoughts because she spoke again " How about this you treat me to a big bucket of Ice cream and we let this go." Wanda childishly said, causing Bryan to put his thoughts back in his mind and nod.
"Pietro," Wanda called her brother, who immediately appeared before her.
Wanda talked with Pietro and apologised for all this which Pietro of course denied.
While the brother and sister were busy in their sibling talks, Bryan's mind drifted to Universe 6161616. With his sense of loss fading and Wanda's situation being dealt with, he can't help but think about Steve's death.
It's his arrogance again that blinded him, last time Loki only managed to catch him off guard, but this time he lost a dear friend. If he hadn't underestimated the Beyonder and entered his Dimension alongside Steve, then Steve would have been alive.
"~Sigh" Bryan sighed as he tried to move on from Steve's death, and surprisingly he managed to.
Bryan frowned at this, in the past, he always had problems accepting his close one's deaths, but this time, his guilt immediately vanished as soon as he wished it to.
Now that he thinks, ever since he woke up, his emotions were completely under control, he chalked it up to him missing a tiny part of Existence, but it seems something changed after his evolution, probably him evolving into a conceptual being further pushed him from the humanity, not that he was ever a human in this life.
Anyways, it's not like Bryan's not feeling any emotions, but more like his emotions are not affecting his rational thoughts.
Even when he saw Wanda's horrible state, he didn't immediately kill the fake Wanda in rage.
And as for moving on from Steve's death, Bryan didn't cut or erased his emotions towards Steve. He literally moved on and accepted Steve's death.
"Is this how higher Dimension being feels…No guilt, no sadness, no regret, only freedom…for some reason I don't like this" Bryan muttered, making Wanda and Pietro stop talking and look at him.
Bryan felt Wanda's worried and Pietro's weird gaze that brought him out of his thoughts.
"Bryan, are you okay…" Wanda questioned worriedly.
"Hmm, just not used to my recent power-up." Bryan nodded with a hum.
"Are you finished talking with Pietro?" Bryan questioned which Wanda replied with her own nod.
"Then let's go home," Bryan said while smiling warmly.
"Yes..let's go home…" Wanda replied softly and returned back the smile.
Bryan and Wanda then said goodbye to Pietro and the remaining Avengers, and they flew off towards their home, along the way Bryan stopped and bought a big tub of Ice cream from Wanda's favourite Ice cream Parlour.
