Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Boring Date
"What. The. Fu*k?" Seiya was speechless.
"Hey, Sento, where the hell we are?" Seiya asked as he was looking at the castle-like building from distance.
"The land of dream's castle, Maple Castle," Isuzu replied.
'Dream my ass? The love hotel was more 'dreamy' than this place!' Seiya thought.
Was that supposed to be a theme park? Nonsense!
The fountain was there but it was dried of water and the detritus was still scattered on the ground. They're also not a single staff member standing to welcome the guest. More like it was given the impression where you would go to a rundown ramen shop and the shop owner would say, "If you feel like eating here then I could buy ingredients but are you sure about that?"
Thinking how unruly this place looked, Seiya palmed his head. He looked at Utaha who seemed quite calm. "I don't have any problem since this place suits my taste. Calm and void of people." That was her reply while she read a book.
He felt like asking but from Isuzu's monotone face, he was not expecting any satisfying explanation. It would have been great if he just had just watched the anime or light novel.
"Sento-san, since you are the one who wanted me to see this 'theme park' then feel free to guide us."
"Understood follow me," Isuzu replied like a soldier and walked away.
Seiya sighed and held Utaha's hand who seemed to be lost on a book and also entered the park.
He was not expecting much and he was correct about his assumptions.
First was the attraction called 'The heartthrob coaster'.
It was probably the laziest coaster Seiya had ever ridden. Let alone his heartthrob as the name suggests, even his dick started sleeping that was excited a few minutes ago just seeing pairs of bazongas on either side. That's how boring the ride was. Seiya thought that even Kirisu's lectures were better since at least he could see a cute sensei.
"Oh, we were on a roller coaster? Sorry, I didn't notice." It was Utaha's reply who was reading a book all the way. Well, too bad for her, Isuzu had Microsoft 97 installed in her brain as she can't process sarcasm.
"Let's go to net one."
Then next was supposed to be some kind of fun garden. The flower seemed to be chanting some kind of spell.
"What the hell this flower is saying?"
"Welcome to Tirami's Flower Adventures."
"WUT?!"
Next was supposed to be Macron's Musical Theater but it was closed.
"Sento-san, is he taking a day off?" Utaha asked.
"If he is not motivated, he immediately closes the shop."
"Sounds like a good reason." Utaha nodded.
Seiya shook his head. Definitely, something his lazy girlfriend would do.
Next was another weird attraction called Moffle's Candy house.
Nope, it was not the sweet shop as the name suggests, instead, it was a shooting game where you have to shoot the mouse.
Utaha had zero shooting skills so it was naturally Seiya's turn to try.
"Sento, I will show you why you shouldn't aim the gun at me. I am a true master genius when it comes to accuracy." Seiya smirked as he held a toy gun.
"Is that so?" Isuzu nodded without thinking much but she was interested in seeing Seiya's skills. After all, she was there when Seiya showed his basketball skills.
"Boyfriend-san, don't let any mouse escape. You got this!" Utaha cheered for Seiya. This was the only time that she was not reading her book.
[Let the slaughter begin.]
It was then mouse started to pop out from the different parts of what seemed like a kitchen.
And just like Seiya said, he started shooting each mouse in succession. At first, it was slow but then it started to get faster and faster.
Seiya felt stupid to trust this attraction for once. It was definitely way difficult to enjoy. It is more like it was more made to practice one's accuracy than enjoy it as an attraction.
However, he didn't have time to complain since his brain was processing at maximum speed, calculating the timing and pattern of every mouse while his hands were encashing his master-level accuracy.
Finally, the game was over and he created a record of 'killing' 98 out of 100 mice.
"Impressive." Isuzu praised. She was really impressed at how accurate Seiya was, almost as accurate as her.
"I know right! My boyfriend has a golden finger. He could master many skills, provided he was given opportunities." Utaha spoke calmly but she was also impressed by Seiya's skills. She knew that Seiya was insane at how fast he learned and master skills.
"Haha, don't need to praise my awesomeness. I am made different." Seiya smirked and flicked his hair.
Suddenly, both girls felt betrayed for praising this narcissist.
Then they were invited to take a photo with the mascot named Moffle.
It was another room where a camera was placed and they have to take a photo with the mascot.
And the mascot was an ugly-looking mouse with a hat and had green eyes according to Seiya.
"Moffle!" The mascot came and smirked.
Yeah, it was evident that they aren't going to like each other.
"What's with his reaction?" Seiya was pissed.
"Don't worry. He is like that sometimes." Isuzu said and glared at the mascot.
They then stood with Seiya in middle.
Seiya swayed his left hand around Utaha's waist who placed her right hand on his shoulder. If people were to look at them they would praise them as perfect models.
"Why are you standing that far?" Seiya asked as he saw the brown-haired girl standing a little far.
"I-I am good here," Isuzu replied with a little flustered face. She saw how intimate Seiya and Utaha looked like she didn't want to hinder their relationship.
However, she was suddenly pulled by Seiya and her eyes met him.
"You are date with me, girly so you better satisfy me on your part," Seiya smirked as he gently placed Isuzu's hand on his shoulder and then swayed his arm around her waist the same way with Utaha.
Isuzu was so stunted that she could only abide by the request. For some reason, she thought that Seiya was very mature for his age who knows exactly what girls need.
"Moffu!" The mascot gave the pic to Seiya and then left.
Although it was rude, Seiya didn't feel like complaining. If he was alone with Isuzu then he would have certainly beat the shit out of the mascot but not with Utaha by his side.
Well, the picture was good and all of them were satisfied.
Next, they went to the food court to fill their bellies.
"Yakisoba? It will take an hour to buy ingredients from the nearby supermarket. Is that okay with you?" The girl in reception replied while playing with her phone.
"…." Utaha and Seiya were both speechless.
"Then Croquettes for three," Isuzu ordered for all of them.
They then sat down at a table. Utaha took out another book while Seiya was silent but his eyebrow was constantly twitching.
"Are you unhappy?" Isuzu asked.
And it was the last spark when Seiya burst into rage.
"Unhappy? Tell me a single thing that is good about this crappy place. To begin with, this park is a mockery of the word 'Entertainment'!
These attractions are made to make people doubt the whole concept of the theme park. Employees are the whole definition of laziness and self-centeredness. Even Utaha could work more diligently than these idiots in the park!"
"Is that a mockery or compliment? I feel offended for some reason." Utaha suddenly spoke.
"Children? They probably will be traumatized if they come to this place. It takes real determination and strong conviction necessary to make people happy. There isn't even a fraction of either here!
If you want to show a dream then you have to believe in that dream yourself first!
In other words…" Seiya then stopped as he saw Isuzu still stoic and unfazed by his speech.
"' If you want to show a dream then you have to believe in that dream yourself first.' Those are very motivational words." Isuzu said and for the first time, she smiled albeit a painful one. "I am moved by your speech, Kanie-kun. This is hard to believe coming from a high schooler."
"Hah, I am not an ordinary student. I am Seiya Kanie, a devilishly handsome and charming-looking boy." Seiya said and flicked his hair.
"I just think that your viewpoint of the monster called 'Entertainment' is unique."
"What are you trying to say?"
"Seiya Kodama."
Just as Isuzu called that name, both Seiya and Utaha widened their eyes.
"There apparently was a genius child named that a while ago. He excelled in anything you would ask him to do. He was idealized by adults as Ideal Child. He appeared in many dramas and ads.
But around 5 years ago, this Seiya Kodama suddenly disappeared from showbiz with unclear reason. He should be a high schooler now. I wonder what his impression of this park would be."
"Isuzu-san…" This time Utaha raised her voice since Seiya dislikes bringing that name up. When Ryota Kise called that name the first time, she also felt like she heard that name, and certainly, when she searched old ads and dramas, she found that name. The child was just like Seiya.
However, Utaha didn't know how to object since unlike before, Seiya was calm.
"His impression? Let me tell you a little secret first that, Seiya Kodama was just a puppet created by his selfish mother but now he and his mother are dead. They don't exist in this world anymore."
Utaha as well as Isuzu widened their eyes. Utaha knew that Seiya had a bad history with his mother but to this extent, she never would have guessed.
As for Isuzu, she was simply shocked and a little confused to hear this answer. She was shocked when she hears his resentment towards his mother but confused as to just what exactly was Seiya Kodama then and who was the boy in front of her.
"Let's go, Utaha. This is place is waste of time and money." Seiya said and was about to walk when he saw Utaha munching croquettes.
"Boyfriend-san, you should try this out. It is really tasty." Utaha said as she moaned with joy.
"But…"
"Kanie-kun, please have some." It was then Isuzu came forward with a request.
Seiya just didn't find it justifiable to decline a request from a cute girl so he picked one and took a bite.
"!! It's good!" Seiya widened his eyes. That tasted very good and for some reason, he could feel the love and effort the person might have put in making those.
"Then would you like to meet the person who made these? This shall be my last request, Kanie-kun." Isuzu said with shaking eyes.
Seiya was troubled if he should meet her. After all, with this request, the answer to the supernatural will be exposed.
