Chapter 2: Noobie Town
As the light faded I found myself outside a small town. There was a sign with the name of the town transcribed. The town was named... (Insert Town Name). I sighed heavily and I entered the town.
A Guard stopped me and said.
"Halt, For what reason do you wish to enter our town?"
I blanked, I expected him to ask my name first. I cobbled a sentence together.
"I am here to em em em. Find a job."
The Guard then nodded and said.
"What is your name?"
I nodded and said.
"James Robert Richard. But friends call me J.R.R Martin"
The Guard nodded and said.
"Ah, you have quite the rare name. But why do they call you Martin?"
I nodded sagely and said.
"That is because I drink a lot of Martinis"
The Guard looked disgusted and asked.
"Why would you ever drink that?"
I scratched my face and I responded.
"Because I like the aesthetic."
The Guard sighed and said.
"I don't know what you like about Orc wine but okay."
I was shocked and I asked.
"Orc wine?"
The Guard nodded and said.
"Yeah, they just call it Martini after the brewery which invented it but in reality, it is the result of placing a dead orc in water and leaving the whole thing to slowly ferment in the sun."
I was truly shocked. I just found that orcs existed in my old world too. I wonder if dragons did too?
"Ah, I didn't know that."
The Guard just shrugged and said.
"Well, now you know better."
I then nodded and asked.
"Can I enter the left parenthesis Insert Town Name right parenthesis."
The Guard sighed and said.
"Please, just call it town, the count just wanted to make a stupid joke. Yes, you can enter. Also, watch out to not offend any of the cultivators."
I was about to enter the town when I stopped and asked feeling a bit star struck.
"Cultivators?"
The Guard sagely nodded.
"Yes, cultivators. Most of the are still Temporary Employee Novice and Beginner ranks but there are a few Apprentice ranks mixed in there."
I nodded and said.
"I see, I will keep it in mind."
