Chapter 95: Tangtang II

"Oh?"

Alucard's eye lifted the moment he saw the girl in school uniform, when had he seen this girl before?

"Hi pipsqueak~ my name is Vlad Tepes, your mother has told me many things about you~" Alucard presented himself, or rather, he outright bullied the girl.

Tang Wan deadpanned and crossed her arms, looking at him with the 'gaze'.

The teenage girl that was tall enough to not be called a little girl, huffed in disdain, "I'm not a pipsqueak! I asked who are you!? Are you trying to steal mom from my father?!"

"Tangtang, your manners! you too Vlad, don't trigger her..." Tang Wan reprimanded her daughter and crush feeling a nightmare dawning on her, this is merely their first conversation and they're already fighting.

Alucard smiled and ruffled her hair, "Of course not little girl, I'm not stealing your mother from your father, he's the one that's willingly giving her to me. Besides, right now we are just friends... Come, I'll take you two home." He moved to open the door for them, ignoring Tangtang's struggle to release herself from his 'claw'.

"I'm not a little girl either!"

Alucard technically shoved the girl in the back seat and moved to the driver seat before a claw grasped his shoulder harshly...

"Where do you think you're going? You're not driving Vlad..." This time it was Tang Wan who opened the door of the copilot cabin with a threatening gaze, ready to shove him inside herself were he not so strong...

Fuck that. You're not driving again...

Alucard chuckled and got in the car peacefully, with Tang Wan closing the door, effectively encasing the beast.

"We will have a long chat once it's just the two of us Tangtang, your behaviour is unacceptable." She technically hissed like a banshee and got in the driver's seat, starting the car with the keys that were already in it.

...

The three voyaged in silence until Alucard decided to mess around with the 'little girl', "So tell me, girl, do you have any hobbies? Any that's related to vehicles for example?"

Tangtang looked at him weirdly through the retro visor, "N-Not at all... And don't talk to me!"

Tang Wan sighed at the two, this was not the reaction she was expecting from her daughter.

She was usually so relaxed, why was she so against Vlad?

"Oh, I see. The other day I saw a girl like you driving a car high-speed down the road at midnight, it must have been someone else." He looked at her through the retro visor with his pink shining eyes, his fangs couldn't have been more wicked right now...

As for Tangtang, It was at that moment that she knew...

"What are you talking about Vlad?" Tang Wan's curiosity got picked, she hoped she heard wrong.

"Of course, it wasn't me! I haven't even driven a car once!" Tangtang exclaimed, a little too exhaled for her own good.

"You're right, it must have been someone else but she looked so much like you, and what a shit driver she was hahaha!" He laughed heartily only to be followed by Alcina who surprised everyone at the meeting...

"Hey! Basta-! I-I don't know what you're talking about... Stop talking to me." Her voice sounded threatening... but the visage Alucard saw in the retro visor was that of a poor creature asking for mercy...

How could he possibly confuse it? They had passed through his senses many times during the last few weeks.

Street Racers.

And this girl was no doubt one of them.

Alucard sent her a glare, the meaning was apparent, 'You better cooperate.'

"Vlad is my business partner Tangtang, we will be having a meeting at my house, that's all." Tang Wan looked back through the visor and explained.

"Y-Yes, I understand Mom." Her daughter's response seemed unnaturally tame.

"What were you saying about street racers before Vlad? You said Tangtang looks like one you regarded before?" Tang Wan asked threateningly as they stopped at some red lights.

"Mr Tepes must be a little confused mother! I have never driven before! Isn't that right Mr Tepes?" The girl's face was now shamelessly begging!

Alucard smirked at her new way of addressing him, "Yes, it must be my mistake, that woman was taller and prettier, not like this little girl that's still sucking mama's tit."

Tang Wan smirked and shot her daughter a glance only to see her technically fuming and pouting as she looked outside.

Well, at least they're not full-fledged enemies, right?

It didn't take long for them to reach the prestigious district of Zhonghai, where Tang Wan's villa was located.

Alucard saw it and nodded in approbation, it was indeed massive and luxurious.

"Do you like it?~" Tang Wan asked with a giggle and parked the car inside.

"It's very nice." He answered simply, Catherine would surely like living somewhere like this, as for him... As long as there was a dark and moist basement with a very cosy coffin, he would take it.

'Big enough for the two of us to fit in please~'

...

The trio made their way inside the villa and the moment Tangtang got inside, she ran to her room.

"I'll call you when dinner is ready! And you better come down and have your dinner little devil!" Tang Wan billowed and held her nose.

"Please don't take her actions to heart, I guess she still has some appreciation for her father." Tang Wan lead the two of them through the villa

"I don't mind, she's still a little kid after all."

"She's 18 this year you know?"

"Still a little lass." He sat on a seat on the kitchen's island.

"Yes Mr 'I have lived too long'~ I'll prepare dinner, we can talk while I do it~" She took out her jacket and handbag, leaving it on the sofa in the main room.

Her house was just like her office. White and green.

"I'll help you, I noticed that you love the green colour." He said walking to the kitchen and marvelling at her apron-covered figure.

"Yes, it reminds me of Nature, Health and the Earth, I try to use it almost anywhere as it gives a very natural and comfortable feeling. What about you? Ah, cut these vegetables please~ I let you drive but I won't even try letting you cook." She explained her fascination and prepared the ingredients, fetching them from the fridge and presenting them on the table.

"Also, wear this~" she then took another pink apron from the side and presented it to him.

Alucard's answer was to give her a blank stare. 'Ain't wearing that!'

"What? Don't give me that look, that's my Tang Family protocol! No one gets in here without an apron, sadly for you, I only have pink~ Go on and wear it."

Alucard huffed and did what she said but not before smirking and taking his tuxedo jacket out, leaving him in only a shirt.

"W-what are you doing? it goes perfectly above your jacket..." Tang Wan blushed lightly and tried to keep focused on the food, but an apron-wearing Alucard hugged her from behind.

"If- If you keep doing this w-we won't have dinner." She stuttered and kept doing her stuff, but couldn't do it appropriately if he held her like this.

"Did you enjoy our ride Wan'er?"

"As much as being pursued by three police cars can be any fun... Yes yes, I had fun now let me go and cut the vegetables!"

Alucard let her go reluctantly and started by cutting the tomatoes, sighing in pleasure as its red liquid came out whenever he cut one.

Tang Wan saw this with lifted eyebrows, "You haven't told me... What's your favourite colour?"

"Red" Alucard answered but never took his gaze out of the 'bleeding' tomatoes.

Tang Wan gulped and placed the pan in the kitchen.

"Why?"

"Must one have a reason to like a colour?"

"No, I mean, you're right, not necessarily. But, what comes to your mind when you see red." She asked with a sidelong glance.

Alucard turned to her and gave her a smile with closed eyes, "Roses and Wine"

'Liar~'

After half an hour of bantering and flirting, dinner was finally ready and on the table.

"Tangtang, dinners' ready!" Tang Wan shouted from underneath the stairs and walked back to the table, taking out her apron.

Tang Wan prepared a wide range of dishes that were enough to fill three people to the brim.

Traditional Hotpot, Chowmein and Seafood Vermicelli together with Asian Salad.

There was orange juice and cola to choose from as drinks and she even brought out a bottle of wine, Masseto Red Wine 1995.

Tangtang came down in her pijama making Alucard chuckle, 'To think this cute little girl is, In reality, a self-imposed street thug.'

The three sat and had dinner in silence.

"Tangtang, what did you do today at school?"

Alucard saw as mother and daughter discussed what she did and what she learnt as if this was some sort of culture among them, Tangtang seemed very lively about the discussion, saying who she played with, the snacks she bought and so on.

Overall, mother and daughter seemed to share plenty of communication despite their usual rants at each other.

"So, what do you do for a living uncle?" Tangtang addressed him out of a sudden and he smiled and hunched forward.

"I suck blood for a living, little girls like you mostly~" his shining pink eyes made Tangtang shake until a slap came his way!

*SLAP!*

"Don't scare my daughter, rascal! Answer her question seriously!" She billowed; desiring the two of them to have a good relationship, 'If we're to get together, this is essential...'

Alucard rubbed the back of his head with a weary smile, 'I was serious...'

"I'm a billionaire businessman, I come from Romania, and my parents were fans of Count Dracula so they gave me this name. Ever since I was small, I was fated to become the Count. There, that enough for you?" The count shrugged.

"What are your hobbies?" Tangtang followed, amused at his answers.

"Sucking Blo-"

Tang Wan bumped his shoulder with the 'gaze'.

"Driving cars", Alucard answered with sweat running down his forehead and a killer gaze on his back.

"Fufu~ Driving Cars? I know someone that can beat you in an instant!" She crossed her arms smugly and chuckled.

"Hmph! Who? You?" He countered with crossed arms of his own.

"N-No! I don't drive!" She stuttered and gave her mother a sidelong glance.

"It's a friend of mine!"

"Who? Yong Ye? I don't think that boy can beat him Tangtang" Tang Wan joined the conversation with amusement, still remembering his reckless but skilled driving.

She knew Yong Ye was a good boy with a passion for cars and always took her daughter to 'see' the races he participated in, he might be a bit skilled but she didn't think he was Vlad's match.

"No, he is an uncle we met recently, his name is Yang Chen, and he's the best driver we have seen, He won a race against Yong Ye easily and even an F1 Professional Driver!" Her daughter exclaimed with emotion.

Once those words left her mouth, Alucard's face darkened.

'Enemies really do meet in the narrow road, huh?'

"And how exactly did you meet this Yang Chen?" He asked with a clear different tonality.

Tangtang's body started shaking, damn, how was she supposed to say that she met him in a race she participated in herself!?

Her mother knew she watched the races, not that she raced herself!

"He's a NASCAR famous driver! We met him one day when he joined the club in a collective race track." She lied shamelessly and smiled proudly, successfully fooling Tang Wan.

"I see, maybe someone can beat you after all Count Dracula~" she bent forward and mocked him, but his dark expression stopped her in her tracks.

'What's wrong with him?'

"You okay Jesus?" She asked, changing the way she addressed him.

"I'm alright and please, stop calling me that." He said with twitching eyebrows while sipping some wine with gusto.

'You really hate him don't you master?'

'It had been thousands of years ever since someone I wanted to kill, escaped my grasp. I guess his title as God of the Underworld played a big part. You can kill him yourself, it will be a good test for you.'

'Even if Catherine doesn't like it?'

'She can't ask me to let him off twice.'

"Whatever, I hope when the time comes you won't chicken away uncle. Mom, I'm going to sleep Good Night and Goodnight to you, Mr Tepes." Tangtang stood up to leave, not forgetting to mock him one last time before bowing and leaving.

"Good night dear, don't spend too much time on the phone, you've got school tomorrow too." Tang Wan smiled and told her off before the girl ran up the stairs.

"You really spoil her, huh?" Alucard chuckled, now only the two of them.

"She's my little treasure. Now, it's only the two of us~" She said and leaned forward with a flirtatious expression, stood up and encircled the table, sitting beside him.

"It's only the two of us", Alucard repeated shamelessly.

"So let's begin with the business~" she giggled and took a laptop out of nowhere.
