Chapter 2: No no no

Me and lacey were walking around still. With every passing step I felt myself getting closer to her and it scared the hell out if me. Eventually the alpha found us. He was a tall very muscular man with chocolate brown colored skin, a low afro, and a beard that was starting to gray.
The power rolled off of him in waves, screaming that he is a true alpha. His voice was gruff and strong as he talk to me with knowing eyes. Those eyes, those brown eyes, where have I seen them before? Why does this alpha seem so familiar.
He was clearly in his late fifties and still looked amazing, As an alpha should. He was still talking when a beautiful woman around his age with caramel skin and long wavy hair came behind him and kissed his cheek. He smiled and pulled her into a tight hug.
He looked at me and said "olivia, this is kayla, my mate and wife. Your luna." Kayla smiled at me and said in a sweet voice that had a Hispanic accent to it "just call me Kayla dear."
I nodded because it was all I could do. I couldn't truly feel safe here, no matter how nice these people act. The only person i trust is lacey, who I told all about my history and why I act cold. She was more than understanding and empathetic, and it made me happy.
I was as comfortable as I would get for a while until I felt it. A pull that kept getting stronger. I let out a sharp gasp as my body stiffened. "Olivia? What's wrong?" Lacey said with worrying eyes. She gently grabbed my arms and it slightly calmed me.
The pull kept getting stronger until an overwhelming smell filled my nose. It smelled of pomegranate and the beach with a slight smoky smell to it, it was the most heavenly thing that I've ever smelt. I couldn't remember how to breathe as the smell got stronger and taunted my nose.
Then I saw him, he was obviously the alphas son, and the most handsome man I've ever seen. He had chocolate skin and mesmerizing brown eyes like his father. He had a strong jawline and cheek bones, he had stubble and a faint mustache. He had his hair braided in dreads that reached his shoulders.
He was shirtless and dripping wet from head to toe, he looked so damn sexy. My wolf howled in approval and kept shouting 'mate' in my head. No. No. No. No. No. I don't want a mate, i dont need a mate, i cant have a...
I tried and tried to move but I couldn't. Whether i was frozen from fear or shock was unclear. I started panicking and hyperventilating as tears started spilling out of my eyes. Somehow i found my strength and ran. I could hear him growl and run after me. I sped up, as my wolf finally shut up, sensing my distress. Although my wolf was still trying to convince me to go to him and hold him. He shouted after me in a deep and smooth voice "You better get back here now! You're mine, you belong to me!"
That pissed my wolf off, she did not like being called his like were an object. When rose is mad she holds a grudge for a while. I was becoming frustrated I wanted to run faster but I know when I'm upset I run recklessly if I run at top speed.
I jumped and shifted, shredding my clothes, i landed and kept going. He shifted and i knew he was about to catch me. Up ahead was a lake with a rock that was at least 14 feet tall beside it. In the top of the rock was a cave big enough for two people. Bingo.
As I ran to it I noticed some clothes sitting by the river bank. I grabbed them in my mouth and started scaling the rock. It was smooth and slippery but I climbed it with ease. Me and rose were used to climbing smooth surfaces.
When we reached the cave, i shifted back into my skin and got dressed. I pulled my knees into my chest and just let the tears flow. I heard him shift at the base of the rock. "C'mon come down. youre my mate please." He said in a pleading voice. I looked at him, his eyes widened and he look concerned when he saw me crying. "I don't know how but I'm coming up there. I'll find a way." He said, making me panick.
"NO!! DONT COME NEAR ME!! I don't want a mate. I dont need one." I yelled as I cried harder. He looked hurt, he was on the verge of tears as he said "ask your wolf, what does your wolf say" I let rose take over my body as she yelled "fuck off!! You're making her panic!!" He sighed and he let his wolf talk "you're mine!! Come down now! You belong to me and me alone!!"
That pissed rose off even more. She growled, earning a surprised look from him "FUCK YOU!! WE'RE NOT AN OBJECT. IM ABOUT TO..." I pulled rose back because I knew she was going to go down there to get in his face.
He took control back and said "im sorry, we didn't mean for it to sound like that, please come down. I need you, you're my mate." I shook my head and said quietly "just leave me alone. Let me be. I don't need you in my life." That hurt him, it was evident on his face. I felt bad about it almost immediately. He reluctantly shifted and ran off as I sighed in relief.
I was still crying, i wasn't ready for a relationship. Especially one where the male had much control over me. I cried for about an hour because my relationship fears.
