Chapter 10: 10 – A Deal 01
I watched Monsterphilia quite enthusiastically, just like any other spectator. A loud commotion erupted as the tamer evaded the monster barely and whipped the monster like a lion in the circus. The tamer from Ganesha Familia is doing what he can to tame the monster.
Just like the spectator, me and the girls were eating our snacks and drinking while watching. It looked like one of the famous snacks to watch this kind of movie was a corn kernel, which expanded when heated, called by God as popcorn.
I enjoyed the snack and food while watching the event from my seat. After I had been busy for the past few days, I felt like taking this as rest time by enjoying this event. But sometimes, my mind floated to the reason why Ishtar Familia was destroyed.
I wonder if just becoming strong will be enough. Of course, first I need to become stronger at a fast rate and take notice of Ishtar before knowing about the plan, or maybe I need to become stronger to input another plan.
But I wonder if that's enough… I think I can do more… and at that time I took my time watching those.
My mind is thinking that maybe a good plan is to do something else too. Particularly concerning Bell, the main character from those black boxes.I don't know if I can stop his growth since his skill is connected to Aiz from Loki Familia, but maybe…I can do it for another thing.
I mean one of his skills in the future will be Argonaut or heroic desire, which means the desire of him to become a hero like the ones in the fairytales.
Which means there is a chance there is a correlation between them. I mean his skill, Liaris Freese, which increases the speed of Bell's growth as long as he is in love. Yeah, his feelings became stronger as he wanted to become someone who was worthy of being by her side. Which quite correlates with his desire to be heroic…
So I felt like it's much better to delay his growth. I mean, I feel like every time Bell's heroic deed also makes his stats growth faster.
Yeah, I feel like I can delay his growth by disrupting his story, and one of them will happen at any moment in Monsterphilia.
To be honest, this may be a risk… But I think it was a good chance to succeed since Bell had immunity through charm. Something I felt like I may have too, or my skill doesn't make any sense.
So, despite the fact that the Arena was filled with cheers from spectators watching Tamer tame the monsters.
"Uu, excuse me, can I go to the bathroom." I asked the girls. It's been fun watching the show.
"Okay, then…"
Yeah, no surprise, but Aisha got up from her chair and followed me. I don't have anything to hide. We're both in the same Familia, and I'm quite fond of her, not only from the story I read in those black boxes, but also from the way she conducts herself in our conversation.
I don't know why, but it feels like I'm easily fond of girls. I wonder if this happens because of my cheating skills.
Anyway, I left the seat… but rather went to the toilet. I'm actually walking toward the west gate. It was the place where Freya sneaked in and released lots of monsters which one of them will be charmed to follow Hestia and defeated by Bell.
"What are you going to do?" Aisha asked the question when she found out that I didn't go to the bathroom.
"Well, I knew it may sound abstract. But I feel like something wrong will happen…" I answered her question without trying to hide anything.
"Hah…" Ashia looked at me with a confused look. "I don't think that can happen. The guild and Ganesha Familia are always doing a great job at this monsterphilia."
"Yes, but I can't help it. I know you may find it difficult to believe, but I think there is someone who will do something bad… and that may be a Goddess."
"Goddess?"
"Yeah, like Freya…"
Aisha's face became serious when I said those names. I don't think she ever imagined that name would come out of my mouth. Even though she knew that Ishtar hated and wanted to dethrone Freya. She was pretty sure a new person like me wouldn't know that.
"I see in my dream…" I said it without letting Aisha say a word. "And can you trust me this time?"
I said it while staring at Aisha, slowly smiling as if she had found something interesting.
"Well, okay then. So what are you going to do? Call Ganesha Familia or tell the guild?"
"Hah… Why am I going to do that?"
"Hm… You're not? So what are you going to do?"
"I feel like… rather than stopping it. I want to strike a deal with her."
I don't know Aisha much, but I told her what I was going to do. Aisha's eyebrows stood up in an instant, and her lips also curled up before she laughed softly after hearing my words.
"Hahaha… That's actually funny… A level one and other familia wanted to strike a deal with a Goddess with much stronger familia than us… This is a bit hilarious. But from your expression, you seem really serious. Huh… Okay then. I can't believe it, but it may be a good show. I will let you this time. Or maybe you want my help." Aisha had a few seconds of good laughs before she offered me her help.
Of course, I'm happy that she let me do this, but I wonder if there is something she can help with. I doubted she could endure Freya's charm. But after a moment, I felt like she could help with other things.
"In that case, can you follow my instructions for a bit and don't ever try to enter the room since I don't want you to get charmed by her." I told her. Aisha frowned when she heard my words. She might be feeling a bit offended or something.
"What about you?"
"It's fine. Since you're more valuable. I don't think Ishtar Familia will lose a new member that is still level one, rather than losing you, a person with high Level 3 and commander of Berbera. So I want you to stay still outside, and if you feel like I have been charmed, you can run away and tell the guild or Ganesha familia what happened."
"That's a good plan. But it feels like you had a plan with her charm?" Aisha nodded along with my plan while she found something about me and asked those questions.
"Well, I don't know if I can do it. But I have my own plan for her charm. I just don't know whether it is real or not?"
"Is that… perhaps skill?"
"Maybe, but it's just a dream, or maybe my own hallucination. Who knows… but can I count on you."
"Ah, yeah. You can count on me." Aisha replied with a smile.
I just nodded my head and told her… "Okay, we're going."
And so the two of us went to the west gate of the arena.
