Chapter 4: II. Eyes
"Yeah, don't we all?" The man from earlier replied nonchalantly. He then proceeded to mind his own business. Lewis thought to himself that he really must be the transferee. 'If he is, then why is he so early?'
He shrugged and continued to read to past the time. The cool morning breeze filled the room making it more serene than it should be. After a couple of minutes, another student came in followed by another one. The bustling students filled the classroom as time goes.
The whispers and chatters are all so hazy for the hearing of Lewis. Just like every day he cancels them all of. His seatmate then waved him good morning. "Lewis, oh my god, you couldn't believe what happened last night."
Liam is a well-known extrovert among them. He also fancies men of sorts. He preferred the tall, lean ones with a strong wit. They were close since the very beginning of the year. The introverted Lewis is so thankful for him, having Liam adopt him is quite a good experience.
Liam did come with headaches but it was worth it for Lewis. Having a friend like him who treats him so well makes his heart full. He is the reason why his classmates didn't label him as the 'emo loner' kind of person.
He closed his book and slid it down his bag and curiously listened to Liam's story. "What happened?"
"I hooked up with this guy." Liam precedingly showed him a picture. "Pretty much your type but he looks older than you by like a decade."
"What?" Liam wide-eyed stared back at the screen. "He is just five years older than me. I didn't know he looked that old."
"Yeah, maybe the wrinkles and the way he dresses made it seem that he could be your dad." Liam laughed and punched him on the arm. "Yeah, yeah. He's hella rich let me tell you that. He runs this business, I'm not really sure of as to what he runs but he treats me well."
"Wow, what if he ended up abducting you and after a week, we see you in the news." He rolled his eyes. "My cousin introduced me to him then boom, here we are."
"You slept with the guy?" Lewis titled his head. "Not yet, why?" Liam smirked and slapped his arm then. "Lewis, I didn't know you like this kind of topic."
"I have an open mind and I was just a little bit concerned for you. Like what if he has STDs or something? Considering his looks, he looked like he slept with others before you." Lewis clearly concerned with his close friend. "Don't worry about me, if I ever sleep with him I got myself under control."
"I don't like you calling me in a random weekday sobbing because you caught an STD or something."
Liam tsked. "Sure mom, I'll be extra careful."
