I raced down the street. "Theif!" I heard the man call behind me.
"Haha! Catch me if you can you wicked Noble!" I laughed. I quickly ducked into an alleyway and made my way over a wired fence, cutting my ankle. Ouch. I ran towards the Great River of Azulon. I heard screaming behind me, my ankle was killing me. I fell, unable to take the pain from my ankle. I clutched the grass underneath me as the men behind me caught up and pinned me down. They laughed in triumphant.
"Let's see who the Lost Soul really is!" I felt one tug on my hood, but I managed to hold it down with my free hand. I'm done for! "Let go you filth!-" One of the men said but was cut off but some rattling in the trees.
"Who goes there?!" They said, looking up. Suddenly, someone jumped out of the tree, and straight onto the man pinning my arms down. I took advantage of this and pushed my body upwards, trying to get to my feet. Another man tried to grab me but a person slid off the tree on a hooked sword like it was a zipline and attack the guy who tried to grab me, knocking him out.
"Peter?" I say, realizing who had slid in like that. "So that must be.." I turned around and looked at the boy behind me, fighting 2 guys. "Arthur!"
"In the flesh!" said Peter, rushing off to help Arthur. Both of them quickly took out the last remaining guys and rushed over to me.
"Hey, Arthur!" I said, relieved that they found me.
"How could you go alone?! That was too risky! They could've found out who you were and KILLED YOU!" Arthur snapped. It's not unusual for him to do so, he was always worried and lecturing us.
"Calm down hothead! We need to get out of here before they find us!" Peter replied.
"Peter's right," I said, getting ready to jump across the lake.
"No way missy. We saw you injure your ankle, you won't make the jump." Peter said quickly.
"Oh stop being such an Arthur!" I whined. I didn't like it when other people helped me at all.
"Shush!" said Arthur. Peter took my right arm and put it over his neck then he lifted up my right leg. Arthur did the same with my left arm and leg. Almost in sync, they ran towards the river and took a big jump across. We heard people behind us, gasping at the unconscious men. We made it in time, as the trees covered us from their view. Peter and Arthur quickly ran towards home; The Peasant's village.
