Chapter 122: Pattern
"Hmm, okay it's fixed now." Sam said as he stretched his arms after fixing the error in system. It took him 3 hours to do this.
"I thought you are a master in this." Leonard said.
"The person who did this is at a next level but not like I can't reach at that level either." Sam said with seriousness. "But anyways, I am going to office I have an important meeting in half hour so see you."
After Sam left the HQ Leonard started to think who could be behind this. Just at this moment, Tyler, Leonard's special squad's head knocked at the door.
"Come in." Leonard said.
"Sir, so far our team has been unable to found who shot Sabrina ma'am, who sabotaged the system." Tyler said with his head down.
"Hmm, okay. Leave." Leonard said.
Since the system was fixed Leonard checked the reports from the head of the branches' agency who were attempted to be killed. He found a pattern.
"They started with the smallest country Country J and their last country before ours was Country R. They attempted to kill 15 country's head...Could there be more? Sabrina was shot yesterday...and hmm....there is a gap of 3 days in every attempt. Sabrina was shot on 5th of May... That means the next attempt would be on 9 (not counting the 8.) It's 6th today....hmm. I should inform the country which have not been attempted yet." Leonard thought.

Somewhere in City B, Country J.
"What? You could not kill her? Why? You guys call yourself an assassination agency but these are the assassinators you gave me?! These people attempted to kill 15 Head of different countries of WOSDA's agency and only could kill 2! You guys are useless!" A girl who seemed to be in her early 20s said with anger in her voice.
"Mam...We really did give you our best assassinators..but that agency is..."
"Too hard for you to deal with? Yeah, looks like that. Get lost!" She said.
"Any..other mission..mam?" The man asked.
"You ruined your last mission given to you so nope. No money, no mission get the fuck out of here." The girl said.
"Oh baby, you don't need to stress out so much..." A guy said as he massaged the girl's shoulder lightly.
"I am not but you know how important this is to me...right?" The girl said as she turned to the guy.
"Yeah, I know." The guy said as he kissed the girl on her lips lightly.
"Hmm."
"Do you want my help maybe?" He asked
"Not right now. I wanna see how the HQ deals with it." The girl said.
"Hmm...okay. By the way...since you are done with that... wanna have a quick snack in our bedroom?" The guy said as he winked at her.
"Hmm...Okay." The girl said.

It was 9th May, Leonard had not recived a single report from other countries.
"Hmm, looks like our country was their last target...but if we were their target then why kill other branches' head?" Leonard thought.
When Leonard still was thinking that Harriet came running to his office, she was sweating profusely. Leonard stood up from his seat as soon as he saw her.
"What happened?" He asked.
She hugged him tightly as she still continued to catch her breath.
"Okay..you are scaring me what happened?" Leonard asked as he made Harriet sit.
"Someone.....has been following me.. at first I thought I am hallucinating but the person followed me till the agency but as soon as I entered in the building, he ran away. He..he had a gun...I couldn't see his face as he was wearing a mask..." Harriet said with fear all over her face.
"What's the date today?" Leonard asked as his expressions got dark.
"9th May." Harriet said.
As Leonard realised what exactly was the situation a message popped up on his phone screen from an unknown number.
How are you feeling?
Scared?
Shocked?
Traumatised?
The messages read.
Leonard didn't reply to these messages neither did he block that number, he identified the number but the number had no registered user..or the user ID was hidden from agency's database.
"You have got some good tricks under your sleeve..but I won't let you succeed.." Leonard thought.
"Harriet you need to be careful. I am not worried about other family members because they have all received agency training even if it was for 6 months..but you were a civillian before...so I suggest you keep this with you." Leonard said as he took her to the 56th floor where gadgets are kept.
He gave her a ring.
"This has a GPS tracker and it can only be taken off when you put your Agency's 7-digit ID number which is on your ID card." Leonard said.
"Hmm...I am a burden huh?" Harriet said.
"Nope, I just love you too much to lose you. But hey, I can train you after all this is over." Leonard said.
"Okay..but it will be a real training..right?" Harriet asked.
"What do you mean?" Leonard asked.
"I don't know...by the name of training you could be asking for other favours..." Harriet said.
"Hmm that is a good idea. Thanks." Leonard said as he winked at her.
