Chapter 42: Remember My Name
Aila covered her mouth with her hand in her surprise; she saw the first guy went limp when he was hit. The second guy came charging at Yhuan; but a few feet away from him, Yhuan kicked him in the torso that sent him to the ground.
Yhuan grabbed the scruffy guy by the hair and with a terrifying glare, he shouted with a stern voice at him.
"Should I cut your tongue so that you won't be spewing rude words to my woman again?"
"No, sir! Please don't," he begged for Yhuan for mercy.
"Yhuan watch out!" Aila warned Yhuan against the second guy who tried to hit him with a chair.
Yhuan was able to avoid the hit, the two guys ganged upon him. It was a complete mess two men against one; Aila was about to call for help when suddenly some guys came to help Yhuan.
However, the fight had already been settled, the two offenders are already on their knees, with their head on the ground. Yhuan was also hit, his lower lip is bleeding and he got a few scratches on his face.
Aila ran towards Yhuan, her concern for him was so obvious men watching around them were jealous to see her affectionate stare.
"Are you hurt love?" She clasped his face towards her; her face was clouded in fear seeing him hurt.
Aila burst into tears as she hugged Yhuan, she was checking his body for any injury. Yhuan kissed her head and smiled at her. "I'm okay love, as long as you are okay."
Yhuan crouched down to lift the two men's heads.
"Did you hear that? Apologize to my love, do it a hundred times."
The two men bowed relentlessly as they were apologizing to Aila.
"I hope you two have learned your lessons well, and here, read my nameplate, remember my name I might beat you up again if you mess with my woman again."
Aila noticed her guards were there, and obviously this matter will be reported to the head office again.
Yhuan carried Aila's belongings as she helped her on the way out of the canteen.
"Love, are you okay? Do you want me to take them down again for you?" Yhuan's tone is less furious, he was more concerned about Aila's feelings.
"If it's about the things they said about me; it's fine, I just went there to clarify that what they were saying was not true." Aila let out a deep sigh, frustrated that Yhuan got hurt because of her, unexpected tears run down her cheeks.
"Then why are you crying now, Love?"
"It's because of you! Jerk!"
"Oh, Why are you mad at me now? I just saved you back there love."
Yhuan laughed at Aila's reaction, she looked like a furious little child.
"Because you fought with them, you got hurt because of me"
Yhuan's eyes glistened, and his heart fluttered with what Aila just said, it has been just like music to his ears. He'd unearthed a superior bliss than any he'd ever had and he is not going to deny it. His smile radiates what his heart feels.
"Of all the people who got hurt, you're the only one who still has the energy to smile like that"
Aila's tone was undeniably frustrated with the situation.
"I was deeply moved; you really have a concern for me... I feel loved."
Yhuan answered in a low voice as he held Aila's hand close to his chest whose heart is thumping like a wild elephant. Aila cheeks turned rosy pink from Yhuan's actions. She lightly hit Yhuan's chest as she pulled herself away from him.
"Whatever Yhuan! I have to go; I'll be getting late for my quiz."
Aila ran towards her classroom, good thing she was just in time when she came in. Luckily, even if she was not able to review thoroughly she was still able to nail a perfect score.
After Aila's class, she saw Reese was waiting for her with a scorned look on her face
"Girlfriend, I heard what happened to you earlier in the canteen... are you okay?"
She dragged Aila to one of the empty classrooms; she was inspecting Aila's body for any form of injury. They will all be doomed if the princess was harmed on their watch.
"I'm okay Reese I wasn't hurt, I'm just annoyed with what the rumors those morons are spreading"
"Yes, well about that we need more information; do you want us to report them to the students' affairs office?"
Aila shook her head and remembered how disfigured those two men's faces were after the beating.
"No, they already got what they deserve; for sure they will not do it again".
Aila answered confidently because she also saw the fear in the face of the bystanders who also slandered her there.
Reese was still not convinced with what had happened; she placed her hand on her chin, thinking of the security lapses.
"Where were your guards and why did they not intervene immediately?" She wanted to get the answer straight from Aila to prevent biased reports later.
Aila was concerned for the fate of her guards if it will be considered as a lapse in their judgment, they might lose their jobs.
"They were there in disguise; it's just that it was all words so they could not interfere right away."
"Yhuan suddenly came and beat those two guys up and when the staff was about to interfere, the two men were already kissing the ground."
The concern on Reese's face still lingered, unconvinced; "Is he that great of a fighter?" Reese blurted out incomprehensibly.
"Have you been called yet for a workaround?" Aila was curious at the way this thing will be handled.
"Yes, it has already started a few hours ago, a café is being renovated across the street, all staff and other customers are our staff, and it will be a VIP café. You can bring your friends as long as they are with the cardholder and the food will be prepared by our top chef.
Aila was relieved to hear that instead of losing staff, they will actually add more for the café they are building right now.
"By the way girlfriend, have you already talked to Yhuan about your deal?"
Aila looked down; she initially planned to end their agreement earlier, but from what happened earlier... She was a little bit unsure.
"Later, I plan to finish the deal with him."
