The next day I ran to the office, a couple of blocks from my house. "Hey Adam '' Adam is my coworker; he is always here at work because he fights with his wife and doesn't want to be at home.
Adam says as he turns his chair to see from his desk, "What are you doing here?" He asked
I grab some files and wave the files in my hands to Adam, "Just picking up some files because we are going to California to a business meeting."
I phoned Grayson as I took a swig of water in the kitchen. "I just got home; I am going to start packing. Come on over."
I heard ding dong as I was searching for my suitcase. Greyson leaned over my door with his 6'2 body, looking sexy as ever. In his hands were roses.
Greyson looked at me in my eyes. "I thought you would like some roses." As he handed the roses to me.
He took off his shoes, and I showed him to my living room and bedroom.
Greyson rubbed his hands and said, "Where do we start packing?"
I gave him some plastic bags, "The shoes right there needed to be bagged. We are going to many business meetings, so I have to prepare some heels, flats, and sneakers."
I went into my room and took out all my business clothes and some causal clothes to the living room to fold.
I looked at Greyson. "So Grayson, so why did u come to ULM for college?"
Grayson wrapped the shoes in the bag. "It was in-state, so it was; why not?"
Grayson asked me and looked at me. "Why ULM for you?"
As I put the folded clothes in the suitcase, "The scholarship money was unable to beat."
Greyson asked, "What are your dreams, Rosie if you could do anything?
I looked at his deep green eyes and went up to him and touched his chest and sent quietly and slowly, " I would be a singer and actress in country c."
"That is beautiful," as Greyson looked into my eyes.
"Greyson, what would you want out of life?"
Greyson, still looking into my eyes, "I want someone who I can walk life with and support them through the ups and downs and to build a beautiful family like my parents and their parents."
Greyson took my hand that was on his chest and clasped it " I know we haven't known each other long as we formally met each other. But I felt like I have known you forever, and I feel comfortable with you. Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
I took his hand and kissed him. "What do you think my answer is?"
He looked down and smiled and looked into my eyes, jokingly said, " I don't know, you hate me and wanna run away."
I looked at him. "No, silly, I would love to be your girlfriend."
I glanced at my packed suitcase " We are done packing here; why don't we get take out."
Grayson whipped out his keys " I can drive us." He perched out his arm and said, " Would you like to hold my arm, my dear girlfriend?
We got to the parking garage, and he held open the car door for me. I wiggled into his sleek black car.
"Why takeout are we getting?" He asked as he turned the car key in
I glanced at my phone at the app belp, "I think I am feeling mash potatoes with some stew. So I guess American French."
"That works with me. We go to Leunig's downtown and head to the riverside." Greyson eyes gleamed
I said, opening the car door " That sounds great, we can totally picnic and see the sunset. So let me head back and grab a picnic blanket."
Grayson stopped me by holding my arm " I have picnic blankets and some pillows because I often picnic along the River."
I said, getting back into the car " Funny thing, me too."
Greyson said, " I know I often see you at the riverside."
"It is going to be super nice to have someone to watch the sunset with," I said as he drove out.
I looked at the sunset as pillows supported my head, and Greyson was beside me. He looked at me, "It feels very surreal that someone who I've been looking at along is my girlfriend now."
I looked at the sunset and said, "You always felt so close but yet so far away. I started noticing you after the trash room."
Greyson moved over and kissed my forehead. "I can't remember from when I started noticing you because I always noticed you. I wish you good luck tomorrow in California."
"Thank you," as I locked my arm with him, dozing off to the sunset.
