"Y'know I've been meaning to ask, how did you know that he was headed to Criselda all those years ago?

"I mean the kid is a lycan so it just didn't make sense to bring him here, especially when the witches and the hounds never had a relationship by that time," Zelina asked softly, her voice making Ulrike pause for a moment.

Ulrike looked at Zelina wondering whether he was supposed to share what had happened with her, or if it would be too much of a risk. He had no reason to distrust the woman, but still, this would feel like a betrayal.

Taking a deep sigh, Ulrike figured this would all come out someday. If it wouldn't make any difference he would let it out today anyway, besides, they were all on the side of the young Wynter.

"Honestly, I didn't know what I was supposed to do. I remembered him saying he needed to head to Greroth, the home of witches," Ulrike began before continuing.
