Synopsis
Evelyn Lin has known little but hospitals and heartache: born with a fatal Empathic Degeneration, her only hope lies in a clandestine transplant. When her fiancée’s brother, Lucien Shen, authorizes the donation of his beloved sister’s heart to save Evelyn, he binds her to a secret midnight marriage—and to an insidious “Hate‑Level” system that monitors their every emotion. To win her freedom, Evelyn must provoke Lucien’s loathing to 100 percent… but as she endures cruelty, she finds herself drawn to the man who both saved and tormented her.
Pregnancy complicates the ruthless Algorithm. When Evelyn gives birth amid a storm and brokers a selective memory wipe to protect her child, she vanishes as Dr. Eve Larkin, a brilliant neuro‑chip researcher in Zurich. Unaware of her past, she pioneers the Recursion Chip to reverse neural decay—until Lucien’s desperate search brings them back together at a global biotech summit.
Together, they expose a web of illegal experiments, rescue their daughter from Helena Shen’s island clinic, and trigger the Algorithm’s self‑destruction through shared empathy. From forced contracts to open‑source medical breakthroughs, Evelyn and Lucien rewrite their destinies—and prove that true healing depends not on data, but on choice, compassion, and the boundless algorithm of the human heart.
