Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Daemon closed the duffel bag which was almost full and walked towards the Clem's room and put it next the duffel bag Daemon put before.
Then Daemon walked towards a room which was looking like a study room.
As Daemon entered inside, He saw lots of books. He searched through the books to see if there is any kind of book that is interesting or could be useful in the future.
After a few minutes of searching, he found couple books about engineering, medicines and human body ex.
Daemon put those books inside the empty duffel bag. He really wanted to give it a try and read these books at least the book about the human body.
After that Daemon walked towards to kitchen to be specific, he walked towards the refrigerator and saw that it was blocked by a table so he carried the table away and opened the refrigerator and found some fruits which were looking good but the other things were not or wasn't worth it that much.
There were some glass water bottles which Daemon took gladly and put all of it in the duffel bag. He also put the fruits with their bags in the duffel bag he lastly also found couple of pasta package's he saw them in the kitchen before though didn't think too much about it but now that he wants to take those pastas as they were durable plus he like to eat it.
Lastly, he found some coffee beans that he took very lovingly.
Then Daemon continue to searched inside the house more but there was nothing left important that he could take with himself. So, he carried all the bags to the glass door and put them next to the door itself.
As Daemon was about the walk toward Clementine's room, he heard noises from outside.
Daemon took his Glock 19 out from its holster and looked outside just to see Chet who was his childhood friend who was running away from the monsters and put his gun back to its holster.
Daemon opened glass door "Hey, Chet come here quick." Daemon shouted towards the Chet.
Chet looked at Daemon with a horrified expression which then turned into shocked and happy and he started to run towards him.
Daemon kept opened the glass door for Chet and he himself get out of the house. Chet looked Daemon who gestured him to enter inside though Chet waited a bit and wanted to help Daemon out with the monsters but he noticed Daemon really wanted him inside so he run past him and entered inside the house.
Daemon took his boot knife out and got ready.
Daemon faced with the first monster he didn't want to shot as he didn't want to spend ammo plus; he was fearing that will attract more of those monsters towards them so he kicked the monster in the chest which pushed the monster and the one behind it to the floor of the staircase's which was leading the glass door of the house.
Daemon saw the other two monsters were kind of behind of these two monsters which was in the floor right now so he quickly stabs the first monster from its head then did the same the other monster who was about the get up.
Now he needed to get rid of the other last two monsters.
They were trying to walked towards Daemon but the one in the forward got stuck to the body of monster Daemon killed and fall to the ground which Daemon gladly killed after it.
The last one didn't fall though and it was just about to reach Daemon with his right hand. Daemon took a quick back step with his left foot and kicked the monster's left knee with his other leg and then he took a couple back step again.
The last monster fell to the ground with a kind of loud noise and now was lying face down just in front him which gived him a chance to strike and stabbed the last monster in the head. Daemon took the knife out of the monster's head and turned around to see Chet.
"Damn Daemon, why are you here? Never mind that you saved me man thank you." Chet was really happy and hug Daemon. He, Daemon and Shawn were really close back in the day though these couple years they couldn't see each other a lot but they started to see each other again as Daemon kind of moved back to his hometown.
Daemon got transferred Andre's work place who was Chet's and Shawn's friend which made Chet and Shawn really happy as with that they had now more opportunities to spend time with Daemon.
There was another thing which was Chet was in awe right now because of how easily Daemon took care of the monsters he was running away from.
Daemon though had goosebumps all over him already and his head was buzzing a bit but he understood one thing clearly this all thing would be get worse and worse. He was sure of it. He didn't enjoy this but he knew he had to do so he did it and he will countie to do it more and more.
"Chet damn it. Are you okay? What the hell are you doing in here?" Daemon asked Chet as he was not waiting to see Chet in here.
"I am okay. Damn it Me and Shawn was looking around in the town if the news were correct about the cannibals who attacks people and eat them. Sadly, they were correct as there were really people eating each other though they are not humans at all. They are monsters." Chet told Daemon with a worrying voice. Daemon could tell that Chet was really scared and worried so he didn't said anything more about it and just nod towards him.
"So do you know where is Shawn?" Daemon was also worried about Shawn as Chet said they were together.
"He went to get help. We almost died and we got separated while running away from these monsters and I couldn't run away from the them but Shawn did. While he was leaving, he screamed to me that he will be back for me." Chet said to Daemon with a voice that was showing he was fearing for Shawn safety.
"Okay it is good enough that he could had escaped." Daemon told Chet while giving him shoulder pat.
Chet took a deep breath "Man, this all thing is like a nightmare." Chet murmured to Daemon as he looked towards the monsters that Daemon killed.
"Yeah, it is like a nightmare but I am afraid that we will never awoke from this." Daemon said dejectedly. He liked to be direct whenever he was speaking so he told Chet about one of the most worrying things he had until now.
Chet froze a bit after hearing what Daemon said but after a few seconds, he also believed that and knew Daemon was right. As they were talking Clementine leaved the house and looked towards Daemon.
"Daemon, who is that?" Clementine asked while pointing to Chet.
Daemon walked towards Clementine and told her. "He is my friend Chet. Don't worry he is a really cool guy."
