Chapter 5: Relax
Prince Walzer would criticize me for the slightest mistake, he was even more strict than the teacher. And while I was struggling, I could feel some burning gazes on my back. Honestly, if they wanted to swap, I would gladly hand over my position.
But no point in lingering on that subject. Only one more class and I'd be able to dive into my bed and lay around for the rest of the day.
"Haa..."
"You've been sighing since the last few minutes. Was it really that bad?"
Seffy said from beside me. She wouldn't understand. With her uncaring demeanor, she wouldn't feel any kind of nervousness even if she was to dance with royalty.
"It was awful, Seffy! We had to repeat the same steps multiple times because of Prince Walzer's insistence. I didn't even know what I was doing wrong, I did everything he told me to do!"
"Ahh, that's the third Prince for ya. Come on, don't sweat it too much, alright? At least you'll get to taste some sweets at the end of the day...given that they don't turn out like rocks..."
"Huh?"
I look towards her in confusion. I don't remember buying any sweets?
"? Don't tell me you forgot already? Prince Reves invited us for snacks, remember?"
Ah.
"You completely forgot, huh..?"
Seffy sweatdropped a little.
Seems like this day is going to be longer than expected....
Led by Prince Reves' personal butler, Seffy and I were escorted to his room to finally commence our tea party.
"Seffy? You told me that you've been to one of Prince Reves' tea parties before. What was it like?"
At the start of the year, rumors circulated that a commoner was spotted in the Third Prince's tea party. Most expressed their disdain that a commoner was even invited, and some wondered why.
I was later informed by Seffy that she was that commoner and that Prince Reves had already known her before attending the academy. She seemed like she didn't want to talk any further than that so I didn't linger on the subject.
"Horrible"
She groans with a darkened face.
I wonder where she gets the bravery to say that a Prince's party was horrible when said Prince's personal butler is right in front of us.
"R-Really? Why do you think so..?"
"Haa, that place was flooded with villainess-like young ladies and young noblemen wanting to brag about their achievements. And don't forget about the women flocking for the princes. They were noisy as hell"
"Seffy! Your language!"
"Alright, mom"
Seffy replied in a mocking voice.
I was about to retort but—
"We're here, Miss Altinae, Miss Milovich"
The butler said before I could scold Seffy.
He knocked twice on a huge door and announced our arrival. After a few moments, the door opened slightly and out came peeking an adorable face. When he confirmed that we had come, his expression brightened and Prince Reves swung the door open.
"Miss Xinra, Ezhufie, you really came! I'm glad! Come in, I've just gotten everything ready!"
He greeted us with enthusiasm.
I noticed that he had completely dropped his formalities with Seffy, though. Seffy told me that they had met before but I didn't think they were that close?
Stepping inside, Seffy and I were met with an extravagant set-up filled with an abundance of good-looking snacks and sweets. But at the farthest end of the table sat a small platter of.....rocks?
I heard a whisper from beside me.
"Don't look at it too much. Reves will get upset"
"R-Right"
But it seems like Prince Reves already knew where I was looking.
"Hehe, in truth, I only helped with setting up the place. I can't serve my guests something so horrible..."
Prince Reves said, lightly rubbing his head.
True to Seffy's words, Prince Reves looked a bit sad when he noticed me looking at the ro-.. cookies.
Prince Reves was embarrassed about his baking skills, while I was guilty about making him sad. Enveloped in silence, we both looked at Seffy, hoping she'd break the ice.
"Alright, we came here to indulge ourselves in sweets, right? Let's not drag this on longer than it needs to be!"
Seffy immediately took a seat and expectantly looked at us to join her.
After that, the rest of the afternoon was spent leisurely chewing away on snacks.

It's been a while, hasn't it? Like the title suggests, this is a very short chapter with not much going on.
Truth be told, I lost most of my progress on this story. I wrote down my notes and ideas for chapters in a notebook but I made the mistake of leaving it lying around on my bed. It was ripped to shreds by a random toddler at a family gathering. I wish I was joking :')
