Chapter 38: Stirred up
"Um you can't come here right now we are far from the city! and don't worry I'll send you the location!"
"Just tell me where are you!"
After a while of thinking he gulp down his saliva, Lucas spoke making an excuse while Alexander didn't fall for anything and spoke firmly
Lucas again thought for a while before speaking calmly as tired to make Alexander calm
"Don't you believe me? I'm telling you I'll send the address tomorrow ok?!"
"Ugh fine! where is Amelia?"
Lucas words did the work as Alexander agreed and the first thing he care about right now was Amelia so he asked whereas Lucas hmmed and gave his phone to Amelia so she can talk
"Hello Alex"
"Are you ok?"
Lucas showed his phone to Amelia indicating her to talk as Amelia snatch it from his hand and spoke
Her voice sounded full of emotions as finally, she was talking to her best friend whereas Alexander replied and the first thing he asked was how was she
Alexander was worried for Amelia all this long and now finally he got to hear her voice which made him so relived
"I'm ok don't worry... and what about you are you ok?"
A smile appeared on Amelia's face as she heard his worried voice and replied to him quickly telling him not to be worried or upset. they sounded happy yet a little hesitation could be heard in Amelia's voice. she didn't know why but she felt so happy
It's not even that long as it's been just 5 days that Amelia didn't talk to Alexander and here she felt like ages
"Hmm, I'm ok here! you too don't worry ok I'll be with you tomorrow!"
"Hmm"
"Ok give the phone back to Lucas and don't worry!"
Alexander replied in a soft tone as if he was talking to a baby trying to make her believe that he will save her no matter what while Amelia nodded her head and hmmed while Lucas just can't there looking at her relieved, happy yet upset face.
Giving the phone back to Lucas Amelia sat there with a sad face as she wanted to talk more but there she didn't say anything and passed the phone back to Lucas
"Lucas! I need the address now! send me as soon as possible"
"I'll send you don't worry!"
Alexander spoke to Lucas in a firm voice telling him that he wasn't playing or joking, he really wanted to get there as soon as possible
However, Lucas spoke back the same thing again before he possesses with his words
"For now I have some work I'll talk to you later!"
"Hm... bye!"
Bidding a goodbye saying he was busy when he was not Lucas spoke while Amelia stare at him sharply hearing his lie whereas Alexander hmmed and hang up the call
Throwing the phone on the bed Alexander went into the bathroom to take a shower. he was happy that finally, he knew Amelia was saved and tomorrow he will be there
But a thing sounded off to him and that was Lucas's behavior. it's a little different than usual that how Lucas spoke to Alexander but Alexander just brushed off thinking that maybe he was overthinking
Whereas on the other hand Lucas put his phone down and turned his sights to look at Amelia who was sitting there still looking angry
"Where is wrong now?!"
"You are the one wrong here got it!"
Lucas spoke in annoyance as even when he made Amelia talk to Alexander she was still mad while Amelia replied him madly whereas Lucas just sighed
"Now what? why are you behaving like this when I have already called Alexander!"
Lucas was so done with Amelia at this point. even if he was trying his best to get angry or loud on Amelia but there she was making everything hard for him as he was getting mad again
He spoke just to get a reply from Amelia and there she was asking another question and Lucas was not in the mood to reply anymore
"I need to know one more thing!
"Look Amelia, I'm not in the mood to reply to your any question, ok so please let's talk later!"
Lucas spoke as he was about to get up when Amelia again spoke making him stop between his pace as he looked back at her questionable face
"What was the reason for not telling Alexander till now?"
And there it was. this was the last question Lucas wanted to answer but here Amelia was asking this right here, right now
"I told you we will talk later!"
"But I want to know NOW!!"
Lucas once again tried to make an excuse but Amelia being Amelia as she did decide that today she will ask Lucas everything at any cost
Amelia spoke again being a little loud while her face showed anger. however, Lucas rolled his eyes and turned back to go outside once again he knew if he would stay here Amelia would ask him those questions again which he don't wanna answer
Taking his steps to go outside as he totally ignored Amelia and that made Amelia madder. taking a cushion which was created on the couch as she threw it on him but unfortunately, the cushion didn't hit him but the wall and fell making Amelia again yell
"UGHHH! I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
Just this and she was sitting there alone once again not knowing where Lucas went at this late-night
Out of rage, Amelia threw all of the cushions off of the couch and that glass of water which Lucas settled on the ground was lying in pieces there making everything look so messed up
Amelia let out a sigh before closing her eyes as she rested her head back on the couch and Now this huge old house which was all empty with just one present and that was Amelia
And it looked like she had to spend the night all by herself here getting scared every minute ~
