Chapter 28: The abandoned friend
"Driver!"
"Yes, miss?"
"Take me to Dom's house"
Leaving the building she saw her car standing there waiting for her, walking towards it she got in the back seat and spoke while her cold voice while her driver nodded before leading the car to Dom's

"So? why did you drink last night? was everything fine?"
"I Don't really remember... anything honestly"
Dom spoke before taking a bite from his food while Alexander gulp down his saliva before he just shook his head saying he doesn't remember anything when in reality he remembered every single thing
That wasn't Alexander, he wasn't in his right mind doing that. it was the personality switch that made him do that but he was relieved that he didn't go back to his house and came here to Dom's because if his sister sees him like this, she would have started to get suspicious by seeing all these changes
Hearing Alexander's incomplete answers again Dom just nodded his head as he proceeds with his breakfast as well as Alexander did the same
After getting done with their breakfast, Alexander bid his goodbye as Dom accompanied him to the exit, Alexander got in his car and left to somewhere whereas Dom after locking the door was about to go back inside when he heard the doorbell ringing again
Dom frowned his eyes thinking it was Alexander again but why he was back did he forget something here? Dom turned back and went to open the door again and to his surprise, it wasn't Alexander but someone he hasn't seen in a while and didn't expect here
"Loren?"
"Good.... Good noon Dom!"
Dom was taken aback to see the unexpected person standing at his door and without realizing it, Loren's name came out of his mouth shockingly, while Loren smiled looking at Dom's shocked face, and greeted him
Loren also didn't expect herself to be here but here she was, Dom took a side giving some space to Loren to get inside the house as she came inside while Dom again locked his door and followed Loren behind
"Um..Just take a seat I'll go get some water for you"
"Yeah sure"
Dom spoke seriously before he left to the kitchen to take some water for her, while Loren sat down on the couch, her smile was still plastered on her face, and she run her sight everywhere in the house. it's been so long that she hasn't been here and they have a lot of childhood memories here together
Alexander, Amelia, Leo, Dom, and her did live a happy life together which was now nowhere to be found, same as this house which looked a lot different than before
"Here!"
"Thank you!"
"Nah, No problem"
They communicated very politely and professionally, Loren took the glass of water from Dom's hand as Dom took a seat there on the other couch he just stared at her as if he wanted to know and he wanted to ask why she was here
but no words came out of his mouth
"So.... how are you doing? it's been so long since we haven't seen each other right!"
"Yes indeed! well... I'm doing pretty good, what about you?"
Putting her one leg on the other, Loren asked Dom while Dom replied calmly
"I'm also doing good!"
And there was a long silence in that living room, no one dared to let out a word or they didn't know what to say until Loren again spoke
"Won't you ask me why I'm here!?"
"So? what made you come here after so long?"
Dom tilted his head and asked with his frowned eyebrows, while his eyes stared directly into Loren's dark orbs, even tho Dom had an idea of why she was here but he still wanted to know the real reason, he asked whereas Loren just let out a Deep sigh before speaking
"I'll tell you... but first, tell me! why Alexander was here?"
Tilting her head with seriousness written on her face Loren spoke, the moment her car stopped in front of Dom's house she saw Alexander getting out of his house
Loren just sat quietly in her car until Alexander got in his car and left, she was taken aback to see her brother there as she didn't expect that and the thing that Alexander wasn't home last night was also making everything so confusing for her
She didn't show the confusion until now and suddenly asked about Alexander making Dom smile at her with a scoff before he answered
"Why do you want to know?"
Dom knew their relationship very well that how Alexander hated his sister and who Loren always gets in his business and now she was doing the same again, getting into Alexander's business
Dom spoke with his one eyebrow raised while Loren rolled her eyes as her lips showed a bitter smirk
Just as how Dom knew about Alexander's and Loren's relationship, Loren also knew how Dom always treats Alexander as his younger brother and how Alexander always comes to Dom when he needs help
"If you remember! he is my brother and I have full authority to know what he is doing"
Loren just shook her head a little and spoke with a smile plastered on her face, her voice sounded sweet but her words were firm and strict
"Right!... you're right"
Dom nodded his head, he had a bitter smile on his face as he spoke and got silent for a minute before proceeding with his words
"He came here drunk last night! and that's all"
"DRUNK?!"
Hearing Dom's words Loren got a little shocked as her voice came out a little louder and she didn't care about that, all that she cared about was What Dom just said
It was a piece of shocking news for Loren, she shook her head once again before repeating the same word thinking that she might hear wrong
"What did you say? He came here drunk last night?!!"
"Yes"
"But why!!"
