Chapter 6: An Unexpected Situation

Atticus' POV:

Joey noticed Eloise's short breath, so he stopped me. Even though I didn't want to appear by her side, I couldn't bear the howling of my wolf in my mind.

Yes, until now, it still thought Eloise was my mate. After I sent Lisa to the ambulance, I had no choice but to return to my office. I saw Eloise falling to the ground when I stepped into the office.

I hugged her. I consoled myself that it was my responsibility and not that I liked her, but my wolf didn't think so.

'If you insist, I'll leave her here.' I threatened my wolf.

It finally closed its mouth, and I looked at Eloise in my arms. There was a strange heat under her skin. This meant she was about to complete her first transformation from human to wolf form as a werewolf.

"Don't let anyone come in," I instructed Jude and placed Eloise on the sofa.
