Chapter 9: The Meeting (Part 1)
Nia opens her eyes and Rose and Luna hear her say, "D Rank. Finally I don't have to deal with that submerged sensation anymore. It was really uncomfortable."
Rose walks up with Luna to Nia and ask, "How are you feeling?"
Nia looks at her hands and balls them into fists and squeezes them with a smile, "I feel great! It's like this whole time I never new what fresh air was but now I do."
"That is the mana you are constantly breathing in now is vitalizing you. Even though you can't use elements yet, you can strengthen your body by manipulating the mana flowing through you." Luna said to her.
"Why can't I use elements yet?" Nia could not help but ask.
"It is because you are not storing mana in your heart yet. Once it is stored in your heart you can learn how to convert your mana allowing you to manipulate the element of your choice." Rose explained.
"We will talk more about elements and stuff the closer you are to the Ascendant Realm since you've only just reached D Rank and have a few more ranks to go through. But until then let's eat and take a bath since the meeting is in two hours so we should hurry." Luna said to Nia
"Okay" Nia agreed with what Luna said.
She was curious about the meeting that kept coming up in their conversations. Was it going to answer the questions she has about what this place is or who were the other children in the ward?
After eating and a quick bath, Rose dresses a pouting Nia in the same outfit as yesterday, "Why am I wearing a skirt again Rose? I clearly told you yesterday that was a one time thing."
"You are wearing a skirt again for two reasons. Reason one, I only have color variations of your clothes for you. Reason two, you look way too beautiful to not be in a skirt." Rose said as she walked Nia to the large standing mirror.
"O-okay, since you don't have any other outfits for me to wear, I guess I can them then." Nia said with a blushed face looking at herself in the mirror. Rose and Luna were looking at this scene with a small smirk.
With 30 minutes left before the meeting, Nia following Rose, and Luna leave Room 971. On the way to the meeting the three of them were having casual conversations.
Nia turning her head left and right couldn't hold her curiosity and asks Rose, "What kind of building are we in and where is the meeting even being held?"
"We've told you already that we are currently in the Sin Continent, but to be more specific we are in a secondary castle within the continent. And where we are going is the courtyard since we need a lot of space to hold everyone." Rose said.
"How many people are supposed to be there?"
Rose answered, "There are 999 children or to be more specific 999 girls with each having a maid, plus the people who will be leading the meeting so there will be almost 2,000 people there."
Nia's eyes widened at the sheer amount of people that will be there. "That's a lot of people. I didn't know there were so many girls here."
"Indeed every single person in this castle is female there are no males here." Luna said with a proud smile.
"Ah! That reminds me. Nia after the meeting is over we will be meeting some people." Rose said.
Confused Nia asked, "What do you mean?"
"When I went to get you breakfast I ran into two maids that are friends of ours. We made plans that after the meeting we would all get together so you can meet the other two girls." Rose said.
Luna chimed in, "It's a good thing that the three of you are in different divisions so you can be on good terms and possibly be friends with them."
Before Nia could ask Rose who could tell the question by looking at her confused face says, "There are three separate divisions for you girls. I said before that there are 999 girls but they are spread out evenly between the three divisions. And before you ask about the names of the divisions I will say that you will learn it in the meeting. But when we get to the courtyard it will be split in three by colors. The division colors are Pink, Green, and Gold. When we get there we will be going to Pink."
Rose and Luna spent the next few minutes telling Nia about Freya and Eris until they arrive at the courtyard.
Arriving at the courtyard Nia takes a look around and takes notice of the everyone there.
