Chapter 2: Accidental Big Bang

"Do you want to tell us who you are?" The woman with glasses asked me for probably the 8th time since we had gotten back to their HQ.

They had me locked up inside a sort of interrogation room because it was a gray room with a single light, a single table with a chair on either side of it, and a one-sided glass window that was meant for the people on the other side to see through but not for me sees them. It was also a camera watching my every move but they had me cuffed so it wasn't far.

The woman herself was pretty cute dispute how her personality is since it was hardened by whatever it was she went through. She had long dark brown hair that she kept in a bun although strands of her hair fell across her forehead and sides of her head. She had a tan and wore red lipstick and behind her glasses, she had light gray eyes. She seemed to have a B cup hanging around her chest, and that button-up shirt that clung to her body only confirmed my suspension on her size. She also wore tight black dress pants with heels which I figured she changed into since when we first met she was in tactical gear along with the rest of her team.

"There is nothing in our database that mentions anything about you, Phase doesn't exist which means it's an alias and that isn't what we want. You didn't have anything on you other than clothes which makes you a ghost." She crossed her arms over her chest and since she was sitting across from me she crossed her legs.

"Sounds to me you don't like ghosts" I teased her right to her face and that seemed to have gotten a rise out of her because her hand gripped her arm a bit roughly before she loosened it.

"I don't believe in ghosts. I do however believe in what I can see, and right now I see you." Impressive, the resolve this girl has is unshakable. On the surface at least.

"Shame. You have a few who seems to stick with you." This time I joked with her and it didn't get a rise out of her but it was good to test the waters. My eyes shifted from looking at her to my reflection in the window.

Aside from my orange eyes which were my favorite feature I had light brown skin, with a lean but also muscular body build, low cut shaved head with a light 5 o'clock shadow connecting to my light sideburns. At the time I was wearing a tight black long sleeve v-neck shirt mostly to show off my body and had the sleeve rolled up just a little bit past my wrists. I was also wearing light gray loss skinny jeans to give myself breathing room with black and gray Cadillac sneakers.

"Who are you Phase? Let's not play any more games, if you don't answer my bosses are going to lock you away in a cage." Sounds scary. Well not really I can come up with 12 scary things.

"Sounds fun, but I decline." I simply said as I effortlessly broke the cuffs when I stood up. Thanks to my interface I was able to get all the information I needed from them. Turns out this world was exactly what I thought it was. It's full of humans and experimental super humans and where I was right now was area 51 due to them thinking I was some sort of alien and they wanted information on some sort of invasion that I could be planning.

All the tests they tried to run on me through the cameras all failed due to my interference but that also probably solidified their suspension of me which was fine because it made it that much easier to hack all their systems.

As I placed my hand on the doorknob to leave I heard a gun click behind me and I didn't need to look back to see who it was since it was just the two of us.

"You have a lot more explaining to do now Phase. Sit back down and I can promise you we won't hurt you." That was an empty lie because the moment they saw me break the chains they would want to know exactly what it is I'm capable of and if they can weaponize it and add it to their super soldier's experiments.

"I'll let you figure it out on your own." I told her before she moved out the way before a valley of bullets fired through the door all through me. Dead or alive they were going to learn my secrets it seems. Should have asked for a lawyer first.

After the bullets had finally ended, I opened the door and saw their owners standing there watching me as I walked out of the interrogation room like I wasn't just shot at least 30+ times.

Since they shot me though I repaid the favor by bringing my hands up in a gun-like way and each time I said bang one guard fell one after the other with blood coming from a slow-forming hole in the middle of their chest.

The woman herself I never did catch her name but from the pounding of her heart, I would assume that's the last I would be seeing of her for some time. I got all the information I wanted technically this place was of no use to me now.

Coming to a stop in the middle of the hallway I noticed I was surrounded but that mattered very little to me.

Slowly I let my black aura seep out of my body, as an orange outlining came around the aura as well that matched my eyes. To say their eyes bulged out of their heads when they saw it was just a massive understatement but didn't stop me from using my aura to create a hole in the ceiling above me.

A bright light shined through the hole thanks to the sunlight rushing in and I saw the bright afternoon sky blue sky that was clear of any clouds with a beautiful yellow sun.

"Hm I figured as much," I said to myself but I was also skeptical at the same time. At any rate, I leaped out of the hole I made and landed on the desert grounds.

Being area 51 there was nothing in sight around this place for what? Miles? Maybe far more.

Forming a ball of nothing but pure black energy that also had that very same orange outlining as my aura did before it vanished from seeping out of my body. I looked at the orb and then crushed it because I was going to nuke the place just to send a message but letting them live was in its way of sending a message but that wasn't my style.

A week had gone by since my landing on this earth and at the moment I was enjoying 4 cups of lemon green tea at star bucks located in midtown Manhattan new york.

The information I had gotten from area 51 spelled things out for me plain as day, although this universe was fundamentally like all other universes I've been to, it is also by far the weakest. Not only that but it is also unstable. That I figured out on my own that as time goes on it's slowly dying because during my fight it was accidentally created.

It was just normal humans living normal human lives with others completing their superhuman trails. They were trying to evolve their kind for means they wouldn't need just to cause more war amongst themselves on a bigger scale.

I figured now was about the right time that I would be paid a visit by some form of government officials and low and behold my timing was spot on.

3 grades of military-armed vehicles pulled up outside of the Starbucks shop and as the men inside got out they had their guns already at the ready and didn't seem like we were in a talkative mood.

People tried to run but the military opened fire right on them like there weren't even there because they didn't care who got hurt long as they got their target at this point.

My black and orange aura put up a wall between us and the bullets, so it was safe to say I earned the sigh I let out. Needless to say, the looks I got from the people in the shop with me were justified and I ignored them since I saved their lives. It was 4 babies inside here after all since a group of friends was haven a play date/day out.

Honestly, I had no intention of fighting the army here, especially not while I was in the middle of my tea that would be just rude.

To the tea I mean. And maybe the babies since I grew up have a soft spot for them no matter the species.

Once the bullets stopped hitting the wall I put up I took it down and moved to stand in front of the window that allowed me to looked at the guys who just opened fire and drank the cup of tea I had in my hand.

Everyone behind me moved to get behind the counter and also to leave out through the back of the shop but they were stopped by the armed forces who had been watching the back. Luckily for them, the ones back there were more reasonable and allowed them all to leave the area safely while they entered inside to have their guns aimed at my back.

Oddly enough this reminded me of when I first showed up in this world and had to deal with the guys from area 51 in the same manner. Unlike then I didn't try fighting them. At that time I didn't have tea with me so when both sides opened fire at me this time the glass that was all over the ground ended up killing both sides simultaneously.

'They came prepared.' I thought to myself as I downed my current tea in my hand.

I didn't bother moving from my spot as my orange eyes looked at the bodies in the street. Under their uniform were not only bulletproof vests but also armor plating just in case although, in the end, it didn't save them from me.

Finally, I moved away and grabbed the tray my drinks were resting in and proceeded to leave the building since I had no other reason to be there but before I left the area I went to check something out that was inside of one of the armored cars they had brought with them.

Above me, it was a helicopter watching everything unfold but that wasn't the issue, the issue was the fact they sent recruits after me. People who had just barely made it into the army they figured were expendable.

To be frank I didn't give a fuck but I don't particularly like people like that.

Taking a seat in the driver's seat of the vehicle I leaned my head back and closed my eyes to think about that last fight I had with Shift.

We were on some water planet in a different galaxy from the universe Shift was from.

In that universe, he ruled over everything and everyone and nothing happened without his approval. Even the small factions that rebelled against him have been snuffed out.

Didn't matter if it was publicly or privately, he did it because he could and because he felt like it. Gods and devils are his general's and they are led by his best friend/adoptive brother Alexander.

Shift stood at 6 feet tall even and like myself he had bright orange eyes with pale skin and jet black hair that stopped at his lower neck. His beard and mustache connected to his sideburns and he preferred to wear black suits and ties.

"I always knew that you would stand up against me Phase" Shift said to me as if he wasn't the one who was constantly trying to get my attention. From the time we first met he has always been trying to kill me and that time was no different. Since we were able to stand on top of the water around us we were able to see all the new types of sea life below us along with a new breed of Merfolk.

That's because the planet tried to go against Shifts ruling. So its people were drowned and those who survived were hunted down by the new ruler of the planet which was a single were-shark.

Shift created the were-shark from the remains of a massive shark along with the blood of the moon goddess that he gutted for leading her were kind against him.

Although the people of the planet were no more this world developed a new species that came from the were-shark after Shift gave it a mate for being so loyal for millennia.

"Well can't say stand up against since I'll kill you soon enough." His remark was sort of cliche and I figured he had to of had something in mind or else he wouldn't have brought me here and told his loyal servant to stay away.

Our blades clashed with one another and during our final sword class a Bright light erupted from between us which led me to this failing place.

Honestly, I could leave at any time but I grew fascinated with this world because of the one I live in I've influenced too much, and instead of turning out like this one the people grew up knowing about the supernatural, knowing about myself and my family, knowing about heroes and such being real. Living and fighting with their gods and devils. The list goes on but basically, my world learned to fight for themselves and can be quite interesting when they put their minds to it.

This brings me back to wanting to stay here. This world has nothing, its god left them, and the gods that lived among them vanished, people are waiting for the second coming of a man named Jesus and people don't even know if things will end by 2020. Being June 2017 they didn't have that much longer, but from what they are saying about the new president they think will end much sooner than that.
