Chapter 16: (16) Mother and Daughter.

After she calmed down,I picked up the girl, and put her on my back. Then she guided me towards her house

-You were brave there,kid.

-Sir, I already said that my name is Winnie.

-To me you're just a kid.

-But I'm a big girl! I'm already 10 years old.

-You're so grown up that you just stopped crying a few minutes ago.

-Humpf,you fool.

- Is that your house?

-Yes, that's right, MOOOM, I'M BACK

Perhaps reacting to the screams, a bad-looking woman comes out of the house, half terrified. She didn't look ugly by any means, but she did have messy hair and slightly dirty clothes.

I lift Winnie off my shoulders, and she runs to her mother, still limping.

-WINNIE, THANK GOD, GLAD YOU'RE OK - The woman hugs her desperate daughter, but soon notices me, and becomes cautious.

-Winnie,stay behind me... Who are you?-she says, standing in front of the girl.

-It's okay mom, this guy saved me from some wolves.
