Chapter 1: Chapter 1: And So It Begins...

"Where am I?" Was the first thought he had after opening his eyes. Wherever he was, it was white, white in all directions that he could see. There was no darkness nor light, because for both to exist, one had to exist before the other, and none of them did

After staring into the white void for what seemed like hours, he finally said "If this IS what happens after death, then it's pretty boring," he muttered, "I would expect the afterlife to be something grandeur, like that one digital art exhibition in Japan."

And then without warning, his surroundings began to change abruptly. The white faded away into nothingness and what replaced was exactly what he had been thinking of. (just search teamLAB Borderless)

"Oh my god…" He was amazed at many things. One, what he was seeing was, to say stunning. Vibrant colors were flashing all around him like a well-played orchestra. The blue mixed extremely well with the dancing colors of red, flashing in one place and then disappearing before another one took its place.

Second, did that just appear out nowhere with a single thought?

He attempted to move with his legs, but he realized he didn't have any. Then like before, he imagined that he had legs, a body as well. And lo and behold, he could move his body again.

He walked around the maze for days, admiring the beauty of it all. His life, his memories,… before whatever this was. Whenever he had reached the 'end', he imagined there was more, and there was.

It was his dream, to be able to create and do anything. And then he realized something.

"If I can create this, what other things can I create?" He thought to himself. He imagined a wooden door on one of the crystalline walls before walking through it. It lead to an empty white room, similar to the one he had been in before, except it was not infinite.

He started by creating a nail, which worked and clanked as he dropped it on the floor, then a hamburger, which he ate happily despite not feeling hunger, and then a car, which could drive but he didn't dare try, an IPhone (which was somehow able to load YouTube even without internet, but there was no new content), etc… until his final experiment.

Just to make sure that he was safe, he created a godly power armor that could survive anything and keep the wearer safe at the same time. It had looked like it was taken straight from a sci-fi movie into reality.

He raised his hand and imagined a solar system with a planet in the Goldilocks zone with an atmosphere and a moon. And it appeared, dwarfing the maze a billionfold and destroying part of it

He landed on what appeared to be a plain with rolling hills in the background, but with so little time having passed, there was yet to be flora. So he wished for there to be green grass, and green grass appeared. He flew up into the sky from a bird's eye view and began adding oak trees, rocks, flowers and bushes wherever he saw fit.

Proud of his work, he flew up into space again, only to realize that the shape of the continents looked, not pleasing to say the least. He would get used to it, but for now, he would change it.

He added peninsulas, lakes, seas, rivers, mountains, etc,... until everything looked satisfactory. And so the basic outline of the world was done. He could now add the more fantastical parts.

"Well, I don't want to ruin all of my work by accidentally creating a supervolcano, so... a system maybe?" It made sense to him, at least. It could monitor everything and make sure he didn't go crazy. Maybe he could add a companion like Cortana too.

So he imagined it, and a digital interface outlined with blue appeared in front of him.

"Hello there, my name is the System. I will help you create and manage your world. Would you like to give me a personality and a name? It would be greatly appreciated." The system said in an almost monotone robotic voice.

And now he had to deal with it's personality, and name. After thinking for a while, he decided to name her Amica, which meant 'friend' in Latin (courtesy of her perfect translation program). He also decided to give her a personality of being sassy, cultured (she's one of the boys), and the voice of a female.

"Thank youuu, and what's your name? Also what's my avatar?" Amica said with great enthusiasm.

Right, he had forgotten about two things. His life in the mortal world and the avatar. For now, his backstory did not matter, but his name did, and it was Alan "Jay" Rivera Hunter, but he decided to short to just 'Alan'.

"It would be Alan. As for your avatar, let me think for a second..." With the help and guidance of Amica, Alan designed an angel (not biblically accurate) with 6 bird-like wings, flowing blonde hair, pale white skin ("I'm not being racist, OK?), while wearing a silky white and gold dress that perfectly showed off her cleavage and thighs in all of their beauty.

He had to admit, Alan was the definition of a simp. But now that he was god, he didn't want to get TOO distracted by hot women, so he pressed the giant CONFIRM button and a second screen appeared right beside the first one, showing Amica.

"Now that we've got all of that out of the way, let's begin, shall we?" He said cheerfully to Amica, who was wearing a big smile.
