Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Fighting Vander Decken
After figuring out everything, Paul, his crew, Shirahoshi, and a group of fish-man soldiers left.
Shirahoshi: " Hey Paul, are there any forests above the sea?"
Paul: " haha, yeah, there are so many that you wouldn't be able to explore them all in a single lifetime."
Shirahoshi: " EHH, so many? If I ask you to take me, would you be able to?"
Paul: " Of course. But you will have to wait for awhile. I will try to find the biggest one there is so you can have a good time haha."
Shirahoshi: " Ehh, really? Then I can wait hehe. Promise?"
Paul: " haha it's a promise. When I find one, I will come back and take you."
Shirahoshi: " Hehehe. Paul you are a good person. I'm glad we got to be friends."
Paul: " haha. Thanks, I am also glad we got to be friends."
Sera: " Princess Shirahoshi, once we find a big forest, I can also go with you, we will have a lot of fun. Beside I am pretty strong, if there are any scary beasts, I will protect you."
Shirahoshi: " Aah, Miss Sera. Thank you. I can't wait. Hehe."
While talking and traveling, they greeted the civilians and became friendlier with one another. However, a flying axe came flying from the sky.
Seeing the flying axe, Paul let Daz take care of it. Daz jumped forwards, and clashed against the axe. 'cling' the clash lasted only for a short period of time before Daz destroyed the axe completely.
Paul: " See, my friends are pretty strong huh."
Shirahoshi clapped.
Shirahoshi: " Yes. Thank you Daz."
Daz smiled and nodded his head.
Daz: " No problem."
Paul: " Daz, would you like to handle Vander Decken when he appears before us? You have to make sure to handle him completely though, or else Vander Decken will keep on coming making trouble for Shirahoshi and the Kingdom."
Daz: " No problem."
With that being said, Paul continued to relax even more as their journey continued. The crew chatted with Shirahoshi and the fish-man soldiers becoming more familiar with one another.
Vander Deck: " Shhhhhiiirrraaahooosshhiii."
A loud booming voice echoed through the air a fish-man flying on a coral was coming straight towards them.
Paul: " Daz."
Daz: " No problem."
As Vander continued flying, Daz leaped into the air, and clashed with Vander Decken. Vander Decken carried to large axe with him. He immediately threw one out which came flying towards Shirahoshi, but Daz was one step ahead as he immediately came in front of Shirahoshi and blocked and destroyed the axe before it could hurt her.
Daz ran forwards Vander Decken once again and clashed with him. 'cling'. The two exchanged blows as the battle continued. Ten minutes later, Daz had already got the hang of Vander Decken's strength.
Daz: " Sparkling daisy"
Daz jumped and instantly appeared before Vander Decken and crossed his arms as cutting Vander Decken apart. Vander Decken fell down and one couldn't tell if Vander Decken was still alive or not.
Paul: " If he is alive, it would be to just lock him up with sea prison cuffs. Oh and tell King Neptune to keep an eye on a fish-man named Hody."
Fish-man soldier: " Yes. Hody? He is a soldier of the fish-man pirates though."
Paul: " Just relay my message. Go and take care of it, we'll continue our journey."
Fish-man soldier: " Yes."
With their problem being solved, now they can just go on their journey to the sea forest.
A few minutes later, the ship landed in the sea forest. Immediately Shirahoshi swam out and went towards a grave.
Sera: " A grave?"
Shirahoshi began crying.
Shirahoshi: " This was where my mother was married after she was killed."
Sera quite down after hearing her words.
Sera: " When did she pass?"
Shirahoshi: " six years ago... Megalo... told me about the truth of her death. It was by another fish-man but the blame was put on on a human pirate."
Out of somewhere from the boat, Fukaboshi, the first prince, rushed out.
Fukaboshi: " What... Shirahoshi, why didn't you tell us sooner."
Shirahoshi was surprised by the appearance of her brother.
Shirahoshi: " What? Brother? Where did you come from."
Fukaboshi: " Father told me to stay hidden in the boat in case something goes wrong. Never mind that, Shirahoshi, what do you mean by saying that a fish-man killed mother. I thought it was a pirate."
Shirahoshi: "... Megalo told me a year after mother passed away... that it was a fish-man named Hody that killed mother."
Fukaboshi: "... Why have you not told us about this yet."
Shirahoshi: " Because mother told us to not hate anyone, no matter who hurt them."
Sera: "... Such kindness."
Fukaboshi: " Hody? He used to be a soldier. Quickly, men go find Hody and arrest him."
Shirahoshi: " Wait, brother what are you gonna do? Do you remember what mother said."
Fukaboshi: "... Yes... but Hody still must atone for his crimes no matter what."
Since Hody hadn't yet stolen the pills that made them stronger, it shouldn't be too hard for the three princes to handle Hody.
Paul: " Fukaboshi is right Shirahoshi. Even if you choose not to hate him, he still needs to be put on trial for his crimes. It's alright Shirahoshi, you have endured long enough. By the time we leave this island, you will be free to move around as you please. No one can hurt you and your family anymore, isn't that also important."
Shirahoshi: "... You are right. Brother I will go with you."
Fukaboshi: " It's alright, you stay here first. We'll go deal with Hody. Paul, I will leave Shirahoshi's saftey to you. Men lets go find him."
Fukaboshi and his soldiers quickly left the area and went to look for Hody.
Sera: " You are strong, Shirahoshi."
Shirahoshi began to stop crying and wiped her tears.
Shirahoshi: " But... I couldn't do anything."
Sera: " But not everyone could remain calm like you when they find out that their parent's killer was still alive and deceiving everyone around them."
Shirahoshi: " I only just listened to my mother before she died."
Sera: " Still, it was brave of you to endure so long."
Daz and Paul nodded along. Shirahoshi began crying again and grabbed Sera and hugged her. Not long after this Robin walked out from the forest.
Paul: " Robin, did you find it?"
Robin: " Yes I did, I found the information really interesting, but sadly, there wasn't anything that I was looking for."
Robin looked at Shirahoshi. There must've been a reason why Paul wanted to establish a good connection with Fish-man Island. If her thoughts wasn't wrong then... the ancient weapon, Poseidon, must be Shirahoshi, with the way that Paul was treating her. She was just about to ask Paul for confirmation.
Seeing Robin looking at him with deep thoughts.
Paul: " You guess correctly Robin. Not only beautiful but smart too haha. But I only want friendly relations, perhaps something more in the future but at the moment, I want the things to stay the way it is."
When Sera heard Paul's words, she grew curious and at the same time a little frustrated when Paul called Robin beautiful but quickly but the thought away.
Paul: " Well, since we already here and Shirahoshi saw her mother's grave, we can leave now and go back. Fukaboshi must've already found and captured Hody and his companions."
They all nodded as they agreed and got on the boat and started heading back.
