Chapter 19: Chapter 17: How do you do it?
A few hours after Hajime, Yue, Shia and the rest of the Demi-humans entered the Sea of Trees. Shiro and Scáthach arrived at the entrance alongside with the rest of the kidnapped Demi-humans that they had rescued.
" So this is the entrance huh?" Shiro muttered under his breath.
The place looked very spooky, the forest was very dense with trees causing it to be dark inside and shadows everywhere even though it's afternoon.
But then, Shiro noticed a tree missing a large chunks of its body, And based from how the chunk was form, Shiro already recognized who did it.
" Sheesh, For him to use those bullets just for a warning, what a waste." Shiro never saw blood around so it means nobody was killed and Hajime did it just to warn someone.
" U-umm..Is t-there a p-problem?" A timid looking female Tiger Demi-human suddenly asked.
Shiro smiled nicely." No, there's no problem." He shook his head and pats the girl.
The timid girl blushed and lowered her gaze and enjoyed shiro's caress.
' Cute ' Shiro thought before glancing towards Scáthach who was walking towards them. " Are they finished?"
Scàthach nodded at his question. They didn't immediately went inside because some of the Demi-humans felt the call of nature so he let Scàthach to guide them where they could do their business.
Shiro stared at them with a smile " Alright, Let's go inside shall we?"
All of them nodded with excited smiles, They are excited to return to their home, to be reunited again with their families.
Shiro lead them inside together with a Demi-human boy whome he trusted to navigate which way they should go, While Scàthach stared on the back in case something appeared.
As they keep going inside the forest deeper, Shiro felt a few presence running towards them, He signaled the others to stop for a moment.
And it didn't take long before, a three towering Muscular Tiger Demi-human appeared staring at them menacingly.
' Huge...' Shiro thought.
" What are you doing here Humans!!?" The leader of them suddenly shouted, but then he noticed a number of Demi-humans hiding behind him.
He narrowed his eyes." What is this human? Why are you with our kin?" He asked but this time less hostility.
Shiro was about to answer the man when he heard the sound of the timid female tiger Demi-human he spoke to earlier.
" Papa!" She exclaimed and rushed towards him.
The Leader, upon seeing the little girl his eyes softened, the hostility inside his eyes Instantly disappeared after seeing his daughter.
" Leona is that you? " The Leader muttered and caught his daughter.
Seeing the wonderful reunion between father and daughter, Shiro remembers his family, even though he was a reincarnator his love for them is real and genuine.

" I heard everything from Leona, sorry for acting like that earlier and for saving my daughter you have my thanks." The leader said and bowed deeply.
" No, No, You don't really need to bow and have to thank me, It's nothing really. " Shiro waved his hand in order to stop the leader from bowing. In the first place, he only saved those Demi-humans because of the quest and because there were Haulia people within them.
The leader raised his head and said. " You're a very strange human, you know that."
" Is that so..." Shiro smiled wryly.
" Yes " He nodded. " Normally, Humans aren't very fond of us Demi-humans, you're one of those kinds of humans who don't mind us." He said.
" Yes, Yes, Big brother is a good guy!" Leona also joined in.
" Hahaha, I guess I'm just a nice guy." Shiro felt very guilty right now.
" Oh, I haven't asked yet, What is your purpose here in Faeabelgean? You aren't just here to return these Demi-humans right?" The leader asked.
" Yeah, about that. Did a White-haired man and a golden haired little girl along with the Haulia clan come here?"
" Wait? Don't tell me you're with them?" The leader seemed to encounter them.
" So they are here after all?" Shiro muttered then stared at the leader. " Can you take us to them? They are my companions."
The leader stared at shiro for a moment then nodded with a sigh. Shiro smiled and thanked him.
" Follow me, I'll lead you to them." The leader signalled his subbordinates to stay and help the other Demi-humans to return to their tribes while the others were told to stay and continue guarding the entrance.
Shiro, Scàthach and the rest of Haulia Rabbit people were led by the leader until they arrived at the center of the forest where Faeabelgean is located.
Upon arriving, they saw a large wall of large wood lining together, forming a large wall that stretched many yards away, It on the center was a giant door.
There had been no problem entering because the leader of the guards were the one to talk with his people, so they were able to enter without any hitch.
As they opened the gates, Shiro couldn't help but to be mesmerized by the beauty of the place.
To say it was a very beautiful place was an understatement, It was the most beautiful place Shiro has seen throughout his entire two lives.
Gigantic trees sprouting from the ground that almost reached the sky, houses that were built inside the trees with millions of fireflies seemingly dance in the air.
" Beautiful."
" This place is very clean and the Mana here is very rich." Scàthach commented with a smile. " It feels like the age of gods again."
" I'm glad you found our home to be beautiful." The leader said glancing at shiro.
" It's very beautiful here! It's very peaceful and less chaotic." They could literally see sparkles lighting inside of Shiro's eyes when he said that.
" Hey, can I get a house here? I mean I'm not going to permanently live here, but as a vacation house." Shiro jokingly asked.
" That would be impossible, although you are a good human, there are many people here who hate your kind to the very extent." The leader replied.
" Oh, I know, I know, It's just a joke offer but I'm serious about it being a good vacation place."
" well, if you want you can come here and I could host you into my house."
" Oh, that's generous of you! I take you on that offer! Next time I'll come here to take a vacation!"
As both Shiro and the leader talked, Scàthach kept silent and just walked and observed the place.
She noticed the stares of some of the residents to the Haulia Rabbit people, they were of contempt while some of pity.
She also noticed that some were interested in their presence, wondering why a human would be in this place.
' It seems like, the leader guards words were true after all.' Scàthach sensed some hostilities in some people as they stared at them, though most of them came from the elder folks.
The walk didn't take much until they climbed a certain tree where Hajime, Yue and the rest of the Haulia clan members are currently staying.
The leader knocked on the door before opening it. Shiro stared at the other side and saw both Hajime and Yue who were about to walk outside the door.
" Yo, How was the meeting?" Shiro can see that there were three people sitting by a round table, and by the looks of it, all of them have high status.
" Just finished and how about yours?"
" Just finished also, We found not just Haulia's but other Demi-humans too." Shiro replied.
" I see...Good work, Let's go now, We have no business in this place for the time being." After saying that Hajime walked past Shiro and the others with a visible small smile on his face.
" Looks like we will be leaving now, Alec-san, sorry for troubling you to guide us here." Alec, the leader of the guards shook his head.
" It was no worry, I'm here to report anyway, that's why it's not a hassle at all." he said.
Shiro bid his farewell and followed Hajime and Yue along with Scàthach who is quiet as usual. The Rabbit people on the other hand made a small celebration seeing the rest of their kind who were kidnapped.

" So let's get this straight." Shiro crossed his hands in a serious manner." You manage to negotiate the elders of the forest for the Haulia clan to at least live near the Faeabelgean for some protection and not only that, you also manage to get an approval for us to go into the great tree but, We can't go immediately into the place because during this time it will be covered with thick fog making it hard to navigate." Hajime and Yue nodded at Shiro's recap summary.
Shiro opened his eyes and asked " How did you do it?"
" Huh? What do you mean?"
" I mean how did you do it?! How can you! Of all people able to negotiate our entry inside the great tree? I would understand if it's Yue but you? No! So how did you do it? What kind of sorcery did you do? Did you hypnotize them?!!" Shiro's words were like a barrage of bullets all hitting Hajime mercilessly.
" You!! What kind of person do you think I am?!" Hajime roared with visible tick marks all over his forehead.
" A merciless, heartless, demon, kind of person." Shiro said deadpanned.
" Yosh! Okay Let's take this outside!! I'll take you down for sure!!" Hajime said grabbing his gun from his holster.
" Oh, you want to fight! Come here and fight." Shiro extended his hands and made a "Come here" sign provocatively.
Needless to say, The action pissed Hajime even further.
" You want to have a death wish huh?!! " Hajime pointed his gun towards Shiro with clear murderous intent.
" Oh, there it is, the demon-faced Hajime!" The murderous intent didn't seem to affect Shiro as he even provoked him even more.
Scàthach and Yue on the other hand, facedpalmed at their actions, they sighed and stared at each other before nodding.
" Eto.... Scàthach-san, Yue-san isn't better to stop those two?" Shia asked.
" Hm, better we stop those two before they make a mess of this forest." Yue said
" Indeed, and it seems like Shiro needs some scolding for his actions." Scàthach nodded.
And just like that, the two strongest women of the group walked towards the two idiots who were about to kill themselves.
" Die! " Hajime roared and was about to click the trigger when a hand pressed against his gun.
" Calm down Hajime, If you two fight here, the forest would disappear."
" Yue..." Hajime slowly calmed down and put his gun down.
Shiro on the other hand laughed, he laughed at how Hajime was easily whipped by his girlfriend.
" Hahahaha, Weak! For you to get whipped easily! Your weak Hajim-Guk! Ouch! Who was that!" Shiro's words was interupted when someone bonked his head.
He winced his pain and turned his head towards the culprit. " It was me, Got a problem with that?" Shiro immediately shrunked seeing Scàthach standing in front of him with cold eyes.
" no...I have no problem at all."
" Good, now transform into your feline form and come with me." Shiro nodded without question and transformed back into his cat form.
Scàthach nodded and picked him up before walking away into the other side of the forest under the watchful eyes of the other Rabbit people.
" Is Shiro-san going to be okay?" Shia asked.
" Don't worry about him Shia, Scàthach is just going to 'scold' him a little." Yue said.
" Huh....Well I hope he's okay.."
