There Few different kinds of magic exist In Fairy Tail Verse. Most of them are Ordinary magics. Beside those magic there some other types of magic exist. Those are lost and forbidden magic.
Ordinary Magic : Ordinary Magic is combination of Mental And Spiritual Energy With Natural Energy Or Magic Power. In Fairy Tail World people born with Origin which can contain magic power.
Example : Ordinary Magic Like ice make magic.
Damaging Capability : As Fusion Of three or less Types Of Energy Out Of Four Types Of Energy. Those Energies Affinity Multiply Each other. After Which Damage Multiply By 2 Times Per Element.
Example : (Yin × Mind × Magic Affinity ) × 2 Times Per Element Which is Ice ( Water + Wind )
If 1000 Affinity Points then: (10 × 10 × 10) × (2 × 2) × 10. = 40,000 Times.
........ Lost Magic
Most of the Lost magic deals with All Four Power Or deal with an element which is Combine form of 3 Or more Elements. But most famous of Lost magic is Slayer magic. Those magic born to slay a specific being depending on it's type.
There altogether Three Different kinds of Slayer magic.
Those are:
1. Demon
2. Divine
3. Dragon
... Demon Slayer.....
A person needed to have More than 500 Yin - Yang, Magic - Mind and Darkness Affinity. Also needed to Combine all of them into one. Those element can Combine with other element like Ice.
Example: Gray: Ice Devil Slayer.
Damaging Capability : As Fusion Of Four Types Of Energy All those Four Types Of Energy Affinity Multiply Each other. After Which Damage Multiply By 2 Times Per Element.

A person needed to have Max Yin - Yang, Magic - Mind and Max Light - Darkness. Also needed to Combine all of them into one to become Divine Slayer Magic. Those element can also Combine with other elements like fire, wind and lighting.
Example: Zancrow : Divine Fire Slayer.
Damaging Capability : As Fusion Of Four Types Of Energy All those Four Types Of Energy Affinity Multiply Each other. After Which Damage Multiply By 2 Times Per Element.
Example : (Yin × Yang × Mind × Magic Affinity ) × 2 Times Per Element Which is Dark, Light, Fire.
If 1000 Affinity Points then: (10 × 10 × 10 × 10) × (2 × 2 × 2) × 10 = 800,000 Times.
