Chapter 2: Tournament
The trio arrived at Master Roshi's house and landed on the island. Master Roshi said "Oh you two and the girlie! What are you here for?" Dragon tilted his head and Goku said "You said you would train us!" Master Roshi scratched his head and said "Did I say that?" the duo nodded and Roshi said "You'll have to get me a girl first!" a little bald kid swam up and handed Master Roshi a porn magazine before saying "Can you train me old man?" Roshi took the magazine and said "Sure kiddo!"
Dragon and Goku said "But you said-" Master Roshi said "No girl no training!" before walking off, Bulma crossed her arms and said "I don't like this old man.." Dragon grabbed her hand and said "It's okay, we'll get another girl and come right back okay?" Bulma blushed a bit and nodded, Dragon smiled and kissed her before jumping on Goku's nimbus and flying away as Bulma held her face and blushed.
The duo were looking for a woman and Dragon pointed at a bling woman who was robbing a bank as he said "She looks cool." Goku nodded and said "Alright!" as he flew down and kidnapped the blond haired girl before flying away. The blond haired girl snapped "Who the fuck are you assholes?!" Dragon said "Does it matter to you?" as he took the bag full of money from her and looked inside saying "This is money?" Goku looked over and said "Why is it paper?"
The blond haired woman was stunned and suddenly sneezed, her hair turned blue and she said "Where am I?" Dragon blinked and said "On a cloud, why did your hair turn blue?" the blue haired woman said "I change every time I sneeze, my name's Launch! What's yours?" Dragon said "Dragon." and Goku said "Goku." Launch said "Launch." and they flew back to Kame house.
They got back to Kame house and landed on the island with Launch, Roshi got a nose bleed and said "I'll train ya for sure!" as he walked up to Launch saying "Hey there pretty lady!" Launch giggled and sneezed before turning into blond Launch and saying "What do you want you fucking old perv!?" Roshi jumped back and said "She's even hotter now!" Dragon walked over to Bulma and said "So this is a vacation for you, I guess."
She smiled and said "It's a nice place and I have nothing to do anyway." He sat next to her and said "Do you go to school?" Bulma nodded and said "Yeah back at home, why?" Dragon said "I guess it would be easier to go to school, seeing I don't know anything." Bulma said "You want to come to school with me?" Dragon smiled and said "Yeah." as he scratched his head and added "That's what it said in the book." Bulma cheered and said "I love that book!" as she hugged him.
The next morning
Roshi woke Goku, Krillin, and Dragon up at 4 am. Dragon got out of bed, funnily enough, Roshi didn't have enough rooms so Dragon slept with Bulma. He didn't do anything, he just fell asleep right next to her, much to her annoyance. Dragon got up and put on his suit before walking outside with Goku and Krillin.
Krilling looked up at Dragon, who was about the same size as Bulma and said "You're the tall guy?" Dragon looked at him and said "I guess, why do you have 6 dots on your forehead?" Goku nodded and said "I was wondering the same thing." Krillin covered his forehead and said "It's for better breathing!" Goku said "But you don't have a nose!" Dragon said "I just noticed that too.." Krillin was being bullied unintentionally when Roshi came out saying "You ready kiddos?" the trio nodded and Roshi said "We're leaving!" Dragon said "Are we coming back?" Roshi shook his head and Dragon walked back into the house and put Bulma on his back before following the group.
A while later
The three swam across the ocean and go to land, they walked to a house and Roshi said "This is my vacation house!" Dragon tilted his head and said "Vacation house? The other one was on an island.." before saying inside and putting Bulma back into the bed, he looked at her for a bit before leaving, he didn't really know what to feel about her, he thought she was pretty but he barely knew her. He might've forgot everything, but he didn't forget his taste in women, he liked strong willed women even if they weren't strong it didn't really matter.
He got back outside and Roshi drew a turtle pattern on a rock before throwing it into the forest and saying "Whoever finds it gets to eat dinner." Goku and Dragon shot off and Krillin jogged into the forest.
Dragon and Goku were looking for the rock forever, eventually the duo found it and grabbed it at the same time. They looked at each other and Dragon said "I need food." Goku said "Me too." they broke the rock in half and grinned before going back, they arrived and saw Krillin eating dinner with Roshi, Launch, and Bulma.
The duo held up the rock and said "We found the rock!" Roshi squinted and said "Krillin found it first though.." Dragon had his mouth open wide and said "There were two?!" Goku was just as shocked and said "Can we eat?" Roshi said "Nope!" Dragon grumbled and sat next to Bulma with his arms crossed, she giggled and said "Are you hungry?" Dragon nodded and she fed him, he smiled and ate it before chuckling.
The Next Day
Master Roshi started actual training at 4 am, first is Milk deliveries, then swimming in shark-infested waters, and finally plowing farm fields with only their bare hands. The trio got back home and had dinner with everyone, Dragon finished his first day and sat with Bulma outside, he listened as she explained what her life was like and how everything worked. She also explained jokes and emotions just in case, Dragon was by no means, stupid. He was actually pretty smart but he didn't know anything about Earth so he seemed stupid sometimes when he asked dumb questions, he also had no concept of relationships so really whatever the book said to do, he did.
He held her hand and said "Are you bored here?" Bulma said "Sometimes. It's definitely not as good as home." Dragon sighed and said "You can leave if you want." Bulma knocked on his head and said "I'm not gonna leave, I like spending time with you." Dragon smiled said "Even though i'm only training for most of the time?" Bulma said "I get to see you everyday! It's not that bad." Dragon chuckled and looked back into the sky as he gripped her hand tighter, She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder.
The months passed like that, eventually Roshi made them use heavy turtle shell weights. Goku and Dragon had the heaviest weights while Krillin was at half the weight they were at. Every so often the weights would get heavier and heavier, just like that 8 months passed in a flash.
8 months later
Dragon was standing next to Goku, watching Krillin fight Bacterian. Dragon said "That baldy should have won already.." he was wearing an orange Gi with the turtle symbol on the back, Goku was wearing the same thing and said "Yeah, he doesn't have a nose!" he cupped his hands over his mouth and screamed "Krillin! You don't have a nose! You can't smell him!"
Krillin realized and kicked Bacterian in the face, sending him flying out of the ring and winning the match, he ran over and said "Thanks guys!" Dragon laughed and shook his head saying "You should have won faster." Krillin grumbled "We're not all monsters like you two..." the duo grinned and watched the next match.
Dragon yawned and almost fell asleep watching Yamcha fight a man named Jackie Chun, who looked strangely familiar to the trio. Jackie Chun made short work of Yamcha and it was Dragon's turn, he walked on to the stage and hear Bulma cheering like crazy. He looked over and waved with a smile, she was wearing a hat that said 'Dragon' on it with a flag and foam finger that said the same as she winked and blew a kiss. He chuckled and looked at Nam, who was dressed in a traditional outfit from his village, Nam bowed and the Announcer said "Start!"
Dragon shot forward and kicked at Nam's head, Nam dodged and punched at Dragon's stomach. Dragon jumped back while grabbing Nam's wrist and flipped, smashing Nam into the arena before kicking Nam into the air. He jumped up and spin kicked Nam back down into the ring, cracking it, before landing.
He scratched his head and said "Maybe too much?" The announcer said "And Nam is down!" Nam got up slowly and said "You're pretty strong! I wasn't expecting that." as he shot forward faster than before and kicked at Dragon's knee, Dragon jumped over his kick and saw a punch flying straight for his head, he leaned back and put his hands on the ground before pushing off and stomping Nam straight in the chest.
Nam flew backwards and flipped in the air before landing on the edge of the stage, Dragon shot forward and kicked at him, Nam dodged and pushed him nearly off the stage, Dragon fired a Kamehameha at the ground and flew back to the stage before kicking Nam, who was shocked, into the wall, off the stage as the Announcer said "Dragon wins!" Bulma jumped in the air and cheered, Dragon chuckled and gave Goku and Krillin a thumbs up, the duo grinned and gave him a thumbs up back as he made his way over to Nam.
Dragon held his hand out and said "Good fight! Almost had me there!" Nam grabbed his hand and let Dragon pull him to his feet as he said "You as well, good luck with the rest of the tournament." Dragon patted his back as he grinned and said "I hope we can fight again sometime!" Nam wryly smiled and said "Me too." as he walked away, Jackie Chun followed him.
Dragon joined Goku and Krillin and it was Goku's turn, Krillin and Dragon watched as Goku fought a dragon-dinosaur monster called Giren. Goku's tail grew back and saved him from losing as he took down Giren and won. The semi-finals started and it was Jackie Chun and the three students of Master Roshi, Dragon chuckled and watched from the stands sitting next to Bulma, he whispered "Wanna bet the baldy loses?" Bulma giggled and said "You want my money?" Dragon laughed and pinched her cheeks as she pouted, he learned a lot in the 8 months he spent with her.
Dragon really liked her and learned to never make her angry, he shivered as he thought about it, never again. She was seriously scary when she snapped, strangely enough, she got super strong when she was mad and it hurt a lot, he didn't really understand, she never trained but was stronger than all of them combined when she got angry. He remembered the beating he got and swore to never make her angry again, well not on purpose anyway.
As he flirted with her, Krillin lost and it was Dragon's turn. He kissed Bulma and jumped on the stage. Goku was standing in front of him and grinned, Dragon felt a fire come to life in his eyes and was filled with anticipation. The Announcer said "Start!" and the duo shot forward.
Dragon punched at Goku while sweeping his leg trying to take out his legs. Goku fell back on his tail and dodged both hits before kicking Dragon in the chest, sending him back a few steps. Dragon shot forward and punched at Goku's head again, Goku dodged and Dragon smirked as he went forward and grabbed Goku's tail.
Goku slumped to the ground weakly and said "No fair.." Dragon laughed and let go before jumping back saying "Fine fine, let's go for real." as he got into a fighting stance. Goku smiled and got into his own stance after recovering. The two looked at each other and shot forward meeting punch for punch, kick for kick, and moving faster and faster, shattering the arena.
Krillin was sitting with Bulma and said "These guys are monsters.." Yamcha nodded and said "Too strong!" Bulma cheered for Dragon as she said "You guys just suck." the duo crossed their arms and grumbled as the fight went on. Dragon and Goku jumped back and separated as they held their hands to their sides and charged a Kamehameha.
They shot their hands forward at the same time and two beams collided creating a ball in the middle and spreading shock waves, Jackie Chun raised a brow and told the Announcer to get everyone to leave quickly.
Goku and Dragon screamed as they pumped more power into their attacks, causing the ball to get bigger and bigger before exploding in the middle and sending both of them flying out of the ring and shooting off through the walls into the city streets. The Announcer said "It's a draw! Double Knock out!" Goku flew down from the sky and said "Wait! I never hit the ground!" Dragon smashed into the stage and said "It's true. I lost." he sighed and said "Maybe the arena bigger next time..." before grumbling and walking towards Bulma, who spread her arms out and hugged him saying "Next time win! We need the money!"
Dragon laughed and hugged her before kissing her lips softly and saying "I'll get it next time then." as he smiled and put her hair behind her ears, she smiled and they sat down together to watch the finals. He really hated losing, especially to Goku, there was a competitive rivalry between the two. As they became closer friends, they got more and more competitive, the proof was in their fight, they both went all out but Dragon still lost by a small margin, it wasn't good enough he needed to win, he felt it deep down in himself and it spread throughout his body like a wildfire. At this moment, he didn't care about who he was, where he came from, or what he would do after this, he wanted to win.
Bulma felt his spirit and looked at him saying "You okay Dragon?" Dragon looked at her and smiled before sighing "I don't like losing, I really wanted to win." Bulma giggled and said "I know you'll win next time and it's a few years away so you have a lot of time! I can help you.. If you want.." she touched her fingers together and blushed, Dragon's eyes brightened and he hugged her tightly saying "You will?!"
Bulma giggled and nodded and he laughed happily "I would love that! Thank you" as he kissed her deeply, his feelings towards her skyrocketed. That's not to say that he didn't like her before, he did but it wasn't the same, the most important thing for him was fighting, not her. As terrible as that sounded it was still okay with him because he would be with her every night, but their relationship never really exceeded kissing and holding hands, as he became more knowledgeable, he learned about what the next steps were and what to do with a girlfriend, beyond the boundaries of the book she gave him. He never really told her because he felt that he wasn't really ready for that as it would take up more time from his training but now.. If she could truly help him maybe their relationship could move forwards again.
He held her in his arms and said "What are you doing after the tournament?" Bulma sighed and said "School again, sadly." Dragon nodded and said "Okay, also why would you help me train when you know it would take time away from us." Bulma was silent before saying "Well, if I can help you train then I would be able to see you all the time.." she sighed and said "I know you like to train the most, and while I like you a lot, I don't like waiting. If I never get to see you what's the point of being together?" Dragon looked into her eyes and said "I don't think you understand what you're saying to me."
Bulma was confused and Dragon continued "I like you, but I also love training." he took a deep breath and said "I want to spend more time with you but I also want to train. You taught me pretty much everything I know about living here and relationships and how to tell right from wrong. Even though it's not everything, we've still been together for 8 months. You're words mean a lot, I don't know about any one else, but I'm really happy that you want to help me train and I wouldn't want anybody else to do it."
Bulma looked at him and said "What are you trying to say?" Dragon scratched his head and grinned "I guess i'm saying that I love you." Bulma froze and her face turned completely red as she stammered "Y-y-y-you what?" Dragon kissed her and said it again "I love you." Bulma fainted with hearts in her eyes as she mumbled "He loves me..." steam came out of her head and shaped into hearts before floating away as Dragon laughed and held her in his lap as he watched Jackie Chun blow up the moon, it seemed that while he was talking to Bulma, Goku turned into his great ape form.
Goku shrunk down and Jackie Chun pushed him off the stage, winning the tournament. Goku grumbled and kicked the ground saying "Damn I fell asleep again." Dragon held Bulma in a princess carry and walked over to him saying "Next time I will win, for sure. 100%" his blood started boiling as a fire threatened to burst out of his eyes and he said "I won't lose again." while grinning.
Goku looked at him and had the same grin as he had the same reaction and said "I can't wait!" the duo laughed and their auras flared up, about to go at it right there and then. Krillin and Yamcha came by and held them both back as they said "Come on guys save it for next time! You're gonna destroy the city!" Krillin and Yamcha weren't as strong as them and Dragon said "We can find an empty place." Goku nodded and Master Roshi came by and whacked the two on their heads saying "Enough you two! It was a good fight, and more importantly a tie! Just try again next time after you get even stronger! Now let's celebrate!"
A while later
The group was inside a restaurant, Dragon and Goku were shoveling down food, Bulma watched Dragon in a daze as his words replayed in her mind over and over again, she knew he ate a lot and she sighed knowing she would probably have to cook for him from now on, she silently decided to get better at cooking. The celebration went on and Roshi used up all his money paying for the bill.
The group got outside and said their good byes, Goku left to go find his Grandpa's 4 star dragon ball and Dragon decided to go with Bulma to her home, to train with her technology. Roshi nodded and said "You know where to find me! Here." Roshi pulled out a turtle shell, from nowhere, and handed it to Dragon saying "Train hard, don't slack off!" Dragon held the shell in his hands and looked at Roshi, he hugged Roshi and said "Thanks gramps." Roshi wasn't expecting that but smiled and said "No problem kiddo! If you really want to thank me, send some more ladies to my house!"
Dragon laughed and nodded as he put on the turtle shell and sank into the ground a little, he bowed to Roshi and walked away with Bulma, Krillin and Yamcha decided to go with Roshi and train themselves.
Dragon was driving a car with Bulma towards West City and she suddenly said "Did you mean what you said?" Dragon was confused and said "When I called Roshi gramps? Yeah, he was a nice old man. He cared for me and Goku, I'm sure Goku feels the same way." Bulma smacked him and snapped "Not the old pervert! About me!" Dragon ohh'd and smiled happily "Of course! I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it. It's a pretty heavy word I found out."
Bulma nodded and said "It is. That's why I wanted to know if you were serious." Dragon looked at her and said "I meant every word." Bulma smiled happily and jumped at him as he was driving, causing him to swerve as she said "Wahhh I love you too!" Dragon laughed and kissed her before saying "We might get stranded out here and crash if you're all over me like this." Bulma got off and held his hand while humming happily as Dragon drove towards West City.

Hey guys! I got some good ideas from other dragon ball FF's, no universe travelling as I find it boring. It's all the same, he goes around and does some stuff gets stronger after a few years and comes back before leaving and doing the same thing. Repetitive and boring, I'm just gonna put my own spin on the story as I usually do, if you don't like sticking to cannon, well, sorry but that's what I do. I'm also going to add a comedy aspect to it.
ALSO Dragon is kinda a clean slate so whatever he learns is how he is. He has the normal fighting desire of saiyans but he's more caring and loving, he won't be like Vegeta heheh not entirely that is. He's kinda like a mix of Goku and Vegeta. Smart while also caring towards his loved ones and friends.
