Chapter 28: "Lost Railways Station"

Asher was trekking through the dense jungle, his eyes scanning his surroundings for any potential dangers. The air was humid and thick, and the sounds of exotic creatures filled his ears. The dense foliage surrounding him and the occasional rustling of leaves were the only sounds that could be heard.

Suddenly, a shrill noise pierced through the silence, causing Asher to stop dead in his tracks. His heart raced as he tried to make sense of the sound.

"Was that a train?" he thought to himself bewildered. He had been in the jungle for days and had not come across anything that resembled civilization. He followed the sound, his curiosity piqued, and the closer he got, the louder it became.

As he emerged from the thick foliage, he was greeted with a sight that left him utterly confused. There, in the middle of the jungle, stood a train station. The old rusted metal structure was a stark contrast against the lush greenery around it.

The station had clearly been abandoned for years, vines and moss now covered most of the walls and roofs, and the metal roof sheets were rusted through in several places, letting in beams of light into the otherwise dark station.

The station looked ancient, as though it had been abandoned for decades. The wooden platform was old and worn, with the paint chipped away and the wood cracked and splintered. Asher could see the rust on the metal parts of the station, giving the entire area a rusty orange hue. Vines and moss had overtaken parts of the station, creeping along the walls and up the posts.

As he approached the entrance of the train station, he looked up and saw a big sign that read "Lost Railways Station." The sign was old, with rust covering its surface, and it was barely visible through the overgrown vines and plants. The air was thick with the smell of dampness and rust.

The inside of the station was just as eerie as the outside. The walls were covered in peeling wallpaper, the wooden benches were splintered and rotted, and the ticket booth was covered in cobwebs. The only sound that could be heard was the occasional growls of weird beings in the distance, lending to the sense of isolation.

Despite the station's apparent age and abandonment, there was a sense of mystery and wonder that surrounded it. The environment around the train station was teeming with life, from the chirping of crickets to the distant sound of running water. Asher couldn't help but wonder how such a place came to be in the middle of the jungle, and what secrets it held.

Looking at the train station, Asher couldn't help but wonder why a train station was located in the middle of the dense jungle. He scanned the surroundings, trying to make sense of it all.

As he looked closer, he noticed something strange with the ground. The lush greenery seemed to merge with the rocky terrain, creating an eerie and otherworldly sight. "This is what that being meant by merged worlds," Asher muttered to himself. With that thought, he pushed his curiosity aside and proceeded towards the train station.

Along the way, the ground was littered with the remains of the dead. Asher saw dead bodies strewn everywhere, some ripped apart and their insides exposed to the elements.

The most horrifying sight was the ones that merged with the land and objects around them, creating a ghastly and unsettling image. Asher came across one such corpse, which it seemed to be stuck to another person's body. It was not a normal corpse, and Asher couldn't help but shudder at the sight.

Suddenly, the train made a loud and piercing noise, interrupting Asher's thoughts. He could feel the vibrations from the engines start up.

Asher stood there for a while, contemplating his options. Eventually, he decided that it wouldn't hurt to try boarding the train. He gazed at the long train tracks stretching far, far away into the dense jungle. With a sense of excitement, he stepped onto the rusted train and looked around.

As Asher stepped onto the train, he was immediately hit by the musty smell of old metal mixed with the scent of decaying plant matter.

The train was rusted and covered in vines and moss, as if it had been abandoned for decades. The metal floor was slippery with moisture, and he had to take care not to slip as he made his way through the train. The seats were torn and tattered, with stuffing spilling out of the ripped fabric. The windows were covered in a layer of grime and dirt, making it difficult to see outside.

As he moved through the train, Asher felt a sense of unease settle in the pit of his stomach.

The darkness of the jungle outside seemed to press in through the grimy windows, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. Despite his misgivings, he pressed on, exploring every nook and cranny of the old train.

He climbed over broken seats, squeezed through narrow passages, and peered into every compartment. Despite its decrepit appearance, Asher was surprised to find that the train was still functional.

The engine room was cramped and dark, but he could make out the outline of a large diesel engine in the dim light. It was a marvel that the machine had held up so well over the years, considering the harsh environment in which it had been left to rot.
