Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Seeing the signal arrow, Jason counted to ten second before blow in the landmines. The explosives collapsed the front of the cave killing one alpha and two regular iron wolves who were trying to run out, the remaining twelve wolves couldn't escape. Thanks to all the mana shields Jason was uninjured, but all but the last two shields had shattered and the second to last had a few small cracks. Jason went to the new edge and climbed down.
Once he got to the bottom he used 'ghostly mana' repeatedly in a straight line oppenening a path through the rubble to the cave, but only slightly larger than a single iron wolf. It didn't take the wolves long to find the hole and before long one ran out. Jason who was standing to the side holding a massive heavy pickaxe two handed, swung downward. on the skull of the beast killing it instantly while immediately transferring the body to his storage device to unstick the pickaxe from its skull. By the time the next beast came outside the new door Jason was ready to swing again.

As soon as the explosion sounded, Jasmine stood up and started screaming insults while coating herself in an elemental aura that projected steadiness. She threw crystal toads blood at them to further incure their wrath. crystal toads blood reeked and even with noses plugged Anna, Izzy, and Jasmine all felt like retching from the stench. The wolves with their sensitive noses were even more miserable.
The wolves went into a rage and decided to kill this disgusting rude two legged beast first then go find out what happened at their home. Charging over two of the alphas and one of the regular iron wolves ran into the straps. one alpha along with the normal wolf proceeded to fall and become tangle in three or more of the straps soon unable to extract themselves and their struggles further bound them. The other alpha jumped and only wound up have the one straplatch onto it's back leg which it quickly yet carefully removed with its teeth.
Soon two alphas and one normal wolf were all that were left charging towards the girls and Izzy. Jasmine used her skill 'great wall' which caused a ghostly brown wall to form too either side off her shield. if viewed from the other side it would resemble Carle walls with Jasmine and her shield being the gate to the castle. Both walls were impervious to damage bellow the fifth tier, the draw back was as soon as the shield moves the walls will disappeare. Jasmine used the skill stone statue and bulwark. Stone statue made her as rigid as a stone statue but also increased her bones to be as hard granite. With bulwark boosting her the wolves would be unable to move her for at least five minutes, hopefully they could kill all the beasts before that. And hopefully things had gon according to plan on Jason's side. Thomas had also left to make as big a racket as he could else where to try to draw any unwanted attention away.
Between Anna, Izzy and William they managed to kill the first alpha and the normal wolf that could move. But then the Wolf bound in the straps used a surprising skill making it flash red then black twice before a red mist left it and was absorbed by the final wolf. The bound wolf died but the Wolf that was attacking Jasmines shield got a boost in power. It was now as powerful as a level eight two star beast. after just two more attacks all three if Jasmine's skills shattered leaving her in a somewhat weakened state.
The wolf immediately pounced on the weakened Jasmine taking a bite that ripped her leg off and sent her spinning through the trees. It then tried to lunge at Izzy but William jumped from his perch sword down into the back of the alpha, paralyzing the beast. remiving the sword with a fountain of blood he then sent it through the left eye and into its brain killing it instantly. Izzy grabbed jasmine's leg and rushed to the 'palace of life' sigil. William ran to grab Jasmine and bring her there as well.
Anna focused her mind, and as soon as Jasmine was placed in the sigil, she controlled the stored mana to recombine Jasmine's leg and increase blood production and the healing process. One thousand mana was used for the healing while five hundred mana replaced the nuitrents needed to do the healing. Without that later five hundred mana Jasmine would have starved to death before the healing completed.

Just as Jason killed the last iron wolf, Thomas ran into the clearing."Boss I just saw four rock spider grunts who had three captured kids wrapped up inside there silk!"
Jason turned his head in shock. He knew that the Duke had most likely sent more people to this realm as it was a great place for gifted kids like his team to grow, he just hadn't expected to meet any. Where a team landed was random and this realm was the same size as the kingdom, the odd if running into another team was abysmal.
"Was there any rick spider solders or queens." asked Jason in worry. A rock spider grunt was a level three two star beast, which was easiest enough to handle. A rock spider soldier was a level eight two star beast, they couldn't fight it but they may stand a chance grab the three kids and run. But if a rock spider queen was there, there'd be nothing his team could do. A rock spider queen can be anywhere from level one to level three of the two star rank. Rock spiders, both grunt and soldier, were the size of a pony from Earth only difference being a grunt was black and a soldier blue. Yet a rock spider queen was as large as a cave bear of ancient Earth and covered in diomand chitin.
"It was only the four grunts." Thomas quickly answered.
" Ok let's go get the others and see if we can rescue the prisoners. we need to hurry as the longer it takes the more likely the situation will change. " Jason said before taking off at a run towards the clearing.

Jasmine was just standing up as both Thomas and jason rushed into the clearing, causing everyone to hurriedly draw weapons. "Another team was captured with at least two dead, since there are only three bodies wrapped in silk, currently there are only four rock spider grunts with them. We need to hurry to rescue them before the situation changes. " Jason quickly informed everyone in the squad.
Everyone was about to set off when Anna called out, "Everyone step into the sigil first. I csn use the remainder of the mana to fill us all with energy." The entire squad agreed as they were pretty tired both from fighting and the stress leading up to it.

Jason, Thomas, William, and Jasmine each stood on a tree in the path of the spiders. Izzy and Anna stayed below. As soon as soon as they saw the spiders they cast one spell at each before turning and running away. The spiders set down there cargo before chasing after hoping to catch more food for the nest. As the spiders ran under the tree as the team members were in they would jump down and shove there weapon though the skulls and into the brain of the spiders.
Only one spider managed to turn around. But before it could do anything Thomas jumped down on it. Thomas had planned to kill it the same way the rest did but when he landed the arachnid burst like a bad zit. He quickly used his water aura to clean himself, but it doesn't save him from his friends laughing at him.
Jason quickly went to cut the kids free, starting with their mouths as he imagined it was hard to breath in the silk cocoons. After making a slit Jason tried to pull open the rest of the cocoon but his had was immediately bitten.
